We Need More BlazBALOO Players In Seattle

You were doing pretty well I thought dude. I wanted to give you a little practice against Nu, you’re probably gonna see a fair amount of her.

I’m pretty sure that jump cancels in this game are different than in previous similar games i.e. melty and guilty. because jump cancels in those games are easy as hell but i noticed when i was first trying certain combos that you can’t just hold up-forward, its like you gotta hit it and time it as if it was a button press. Dropped countless combos my first day cause of it.

Only a few days until preppopolis again. I crave blazblue stompage, whether giving or witnessing (but not receiving)

Thanks Trace, yea she’s a damn whore.

As for JCs I can do them easily enough since I used to do the tap method for GG as well (i.e. j.B j.C JC j.C j.D, QCB+B with Jin is easy once I can get em in the air). It’s just that one particular cancel I think they have to be hella close after the second hit of the B and you have to cancel the C at the right time. I’ll practice it more tonight I guess.

Magister - I play Sakura only in SFIV. I used Chun when I first started, but she just wasn’t my style.

And there would be way too much lag otherwise I would play online. I would love to play lagless/low delay online VP but yeah, not possible atm. :frowning:

The year I went into Kasai as a JET (two years back, now), Ono ALTs didn’t have to go in during summer break. =P

Is Miki still the Ono supervisor, or someone else? (I think that was her name). She was really nice.

Yeah it’s still Miki-san. She’s nice I guess, but she’s quite unhelpful sometimes, but I’m not gonna get into that…

This was posted on the PNW thread on Dustloop, but in case you aren’t following that, there’s a tournament going on near UW next Saturday (8/15) in the afternoon. Would be a good chance for a pre-NWM shakedown.

Finally, BlazBlue and Soul Calibur IV together in one tournament?

oh nice. i’ll be making it out to that for sure. no way i’m staying for the whole thing though. usually i don’t hate on games without playing them enough but SC just doesn’t interest me.

WASSUP BLAZBALLOON

Hit me up on Live DAWGS

HELLA HYPED, thx2 james for selling me this. :bgrin:

Have ragna basics down and now I’m trying to mess around with hakumen too. I’m hella late on the hype train, if it’s still even there, but let’s play guys! I will be on later tonight and tomorrow.

I hadn’t played since Evo, and I played for a few matches with my friend on Thursday!

DAMN! I forgot how much fun I have playing Taokaka. Probably the the most fun I have ever had playing any character. I am getting back into this game.

I’ll be on later to play some BAROO

Tao is INSANE! but i seriously dig Litchi, her shit is just so weird. I can’t seem to get any of my friends into this though. they just scoff, mumble something about it being confusing, too japanese, and NOT street fighter.

my wife however is a beast with noel!!!

Litchi is tight but her combos are sooo time consuming hahah. I hate getting caught in them. Tao is hella annoying but yeah she is fun to play. Air combos into down drive A cancel land, jab, jump, combo some more… Run away and throw a bowling ball. Raging demon pounce… rofl. I’m trying to NOT do what I do in every game and like learn how to fuggin play everyone. I wanna see how Carl works though.

I just figured out how to to do Tao’s double taunt combos. Its probably got to be the most technical thing I’ve ever learned in any fighting game, and its so incredibly satisfying to know you’re nullifying damage reduction with the taunts.

I get kicked hella in this game.

What’s with the way it tells you about lag? Is the red square bad, blue square good? What about no square?

no square is like the no bar in sf4 where it means it can’t tell or whatever. Gold is the best, blue is okay and red is crappy.

Oh, alright cool - thanks Ross.

No problem. What ridiculous character are you going to play Elias? Half the cast like usual I assume… ahah.

Hahahah well I’m trying to stray away from my usual play everyone well but no one great trait for once.

I learned Ragna first, and I’d still consider him my main for now, but he’s kinda cookie cutter and not too interesting. Learning Hakumen right now, he’s my favorite so far. Still trying to figure out who really suits me the best though. Hakumen is dope as fuck though! It makes me lol doing combos that consist of all C button. LOOK AT DA DAMAGE. I need to learn what to do when I land counters though - I’m getting the hang of instant blocking and countering, then I don’t have a tight followup.
