There’s also V-13, where half of her combos all just use the D button.
I’m getting this tomorrow. Starting with Litchi and seeing where I can get from there.
Gotta learn moonspeak to play this shit, though. Combos looking like Algebra class and shit.
The Tekken crowd is gonna hate me for this but that numpad system is hella dumb. Are you really gonna be sharing combos with anyone that doesnt speak English? Last I saw Zaibatsu and Dustloop were full of Americans. QCF son none of this 236 nonsense.
The language thing is really more of a secondary reason - the more you play arcsys games and see what kinda fucked up notations they have, the more you’ll realize that the number system makes sense. One of dizzy’s supers in GG is 34123646+punch, for example.
Why would the tekken crowd hate you? Tekken numbers represent buttons, it’s directional inputs in these games. With all the command normals and awkward motions, timing, super jump installs, etc. the number system is tight. I hate when people hate on it because if you just learn to look at a fucking numpad it is a lot better, easier, and faster when you get used to it. (Plus you have a fucking cheat sheet ON YOUR KEYBOARD.)
And like, in a game with letters for normals, it would be confusing to have like f for forward and a for a button, everything being letters would just be hard to discern.
Yea I know about Tekken but I guess it’s the only other game where you hear hella numbers when people talk about it. Obviously there are exceptions but I’d argue the letter notation is easier to read even for something like that Dizzy super. It’s a matter of taste/getting used to it but it seems gratuitous to switch between the two when you play games from both scenes. Especially in a game like BB where the motions aren’t too crazy. My argument was more against the language reason for using it anyway, completely retarded.
df, hcf, b, f may be easier, but it seems much more awkward to type out than the numpad format. 3D fighters are the ones that use numpad most often since they have so many weird directions, and then most Japanese fighters using A,B,C for their attacks can make things confusing for crouching or holding back.

Necromancer out this bitch.
Yeah, so Continuum Shift is out now and it’s a lot better than CT was. Go get it. I wanna play with some NW people.
My Makoto is average. My Hakumen is slightly above average. My execution is incredibad.
I just need to do something I learned in CT and now just repeat it 6 to 14 times as the situation warrants. Taokaka is incredibly simple that way.
im new to the BB series, but i like the game. Im partial to Hazama, but i have pledged to play a cheap character now in every new fighter i play. i like Arakune, but im having trouble with challenge #10
I play Tager in this game, and not only is he pretty simple, he’s got some really easy and cheesy shit you can abuse to beat other scrubs. As for actually being good at this game, I don’t know anything about that.
If you want cheap play Litchi 5K off a random hit that ends in distortion that you get mixup & oki off and most of your meter back to do it again.
litchi is S tier right? im interested in learning an s tier character, (if Arakune isnt one) because i dont think i have ever picked a char based on tiers. its always been who ever i like, but i would like to try it once!
i like tager’s damage, but i saw an sbo quals match of tager VS haku… wow, that seemed like a really bad match for tager
S Tier is Litchi, Ragna, Bang. Litchi for what I mentioned, Ragna for massive damage, meter gain, and great normals. Bang of being all around great & fucking 5A. Arakune along with Hakumen, Tao, and Hazama I think is A-Tier. Makoto is probably going to end up being A-Tier to due to the damage & options she has. Really thinking about dropping either Lambda or Tager for her.
And yeah Tager vs Hakumen is a terrible match for Tager, 4C really makes it hell for him and he has to play that one really patient.
so where does the BB scene meet to play? im interested in learning this game competitively from players in the scene.
Right now we meet up in Redmond at a persons place on Fridays till Digipen opens up again. Signing up on Dustloop and hitting up the Pacific Northwest thread you can find people closest to you to practice with. And we also have the IRC channel #getserious on server.EFN.net
The Pacific Northwest! Washington, Portland Wicked Forest, and Zombie Farmer players
I went and hung out with these guys on Friday and got bodied all day. But I started to figure things out in my head towards the end, just hard for me to get my offense going.
There is a very good Arakune player there, but I didn’t see anyone playing Hazama really.
nice. i will have transportation soon enough, and i plan to make it out to the sessions for this. thx
I player this one time recently in my whole life… not gonna lie, baloo is soo nasty. So put me in coach I’m ready to play!
this game is gross
edit: lol i have a blazblue character in my avatar hahahahahahahahha
