I’m more hyped to play this than any other game, I just can’t afford to buy a game. Tryin’ to borrow it from vince. I was hella into guilty gear though so it can’t come as too much of a surprise.
I think it’s pretty sad that people always call other people nerds.
Fighting game players are all considered huge nerds by most of society anyway. I’m pretty sure that you could take any person on the face of the planet (Person X) and somewhere you could find someone who will call Person X a nerd.
“What, you like anime??”
“What, you like games??”
“What, you use the internet??”
“What, you read books??”
“What, you know how to use a tivo??”
Everyone who reads this post from now til the end of time is a fuckin nerd. !!!
Thanks guys. Have fun with the game!
Yeah you single handedly whomped on veteru’s team. I was more impressed by the fact that since the games release all I heard about was rachel, arakune, and v-13. So watching ur noel go crazy on the big screen was a pleasant surprise…even though I didn’t know what was going on 1/2 the time. Although if fubarduck made you anchor, and you came back to ocv their team (if that situation were to happen), it wouldk?e probably had a different impact with everyone else (more hype) than to have you steamroll through their team off jump
HeartNana…
By Ono, Japan, do you mean you live in Ono, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan? If so, then I have to ask… DO I KNOW YOU BY CHANCE?!?
I taught on the JET program in Kasai a year back, next to Ono-shi in Hyogo. This year I’ve been in Korea getting Tekken practice. =) I met the Ono JETs on several occasions for Karaoke and such, and I can’t help but wonder (because of your profile location), are you one of them? Or is it a different Ono?
Everyone else… I’m flying back in to the states on Tuesday and I have a 4-hour stop in Japan. Gonna pick up the newest Arcadia (frame data for half the BR cast) and the Arcadia Blaz BLOOOOOOO guide. Gettin’ a PS3 and the game when I get back to WA. =)
curtis i cant wait to play you. my tekken is BAD right now so id really like you to tell me of what the korean bryans do. ill get the rest from x copying ebm lol
i finally got this game yesterday after waiting on gamestop for weeks, but i actually got limited edition for my troubles. i played it quite a bit and i’m definitely gonna be playing this a lot more, it’s been so long since i’ve been able to truly rushdown and damn it feels good again.
anyone playing this on xbox 360 please add me, i’d love to play more games with peeps.
Just picked up the limited edition at Best Buy without even calling ahead. Fuck a Gamestop and their pawn shop preorder if you want a game on day 1 bullshit.
Hm, I’m thinking about selling my 360 copy of this. Haven’t been playing it as much as I thought.
$50? Any takers?
40 :d
Frankdadank - I would have gone last, but it was strategically better for me to go first, because Rachel owns Tager and Carl pretty hard, but I think Jan and Fubar could have beat Vet or Pulsr if i happened to lose to them after beating Waku’s Rachel. It was mainly a gamble of whether I could beat Waku’s Rachel or not.
Murakumo - I live in Ono, Hyogo, yes, but I’ve only been here a year, and I don’t recall going Karaoke with anyone aside from the Ono ALTs…quite the coincidence though, lol.
JETAA, represent!
By the way, I was just trying to make a bad joke. Good shit, I’m really interested in trying out BB as soon as I, uh, get the game. Yeah, I’m a little behind the curve on this one.
You’re lucky to have Ono. I heard you have to go in on summer break, now (for returning JETs… heard they added that the year I finished). Still, you guys have some nice ass apartments and FREE and FREE bills and ish. I paid for electricity, water, internet (not sure if your internet was included) and had a tiny ass apartment nearly half the size of the Ono ones AND had to pay the rent. Also my school in Kasai was stupid far away and they required me to get a car even they they aren’t technically supposed to be able to make you (or provide it). I figured that the difference between Kasai and Ono throughout the year would’ve added up to about $12,000 extra savings (and I would’ve been along a main train line… Kasai train was ass).
Were I in Ono, I would’ve stayed in Japan another year. Lucky lucky HeartNana! (That’s prolly why Ono JETs tend to stick around longer than Kasai’s).
I went in on summer break… The biggest new ish that I’ve heard is that they want you to sign the contract to stay on for the next year in like, December.
Well, what I was saying is returning JETs in Ono used to get summer break off (no need to go to school), but I heard last year the Ono BOE started making them work that time unless they used their paid vacation time. New Ono ALTs, so far as I’ve heard, still get August off. =P
Well, i do have to go to work in the summer. My apt is free, but i have to pay water, gas, and i have to GET internet on my own, without help from the BOE or anything.
But yeah, I like ono, I’m not complaining, lol. It’s close enough for me to go to Kobe or Osaka each weekend, so no complaints on this front…
and new ono alts do NOT get august off, we have to go in each day. I mean, its fine cause I don’t have to DO anything, and 20 paid vacation days a year is plenty, so i don’t mind.
And yeah even with going out each weekend, im saving a lot of money. Good times.
I think that’s pretty normal, as far as going in to school. The teachers all have to do it, and I never heard of any exceptions in my prefecture. It’s awesome if somebody didn’t have to, but yeah.
I think teaching in Korea was a pretty shitty idea, in retrospect
I had to work 8 hours a day 5 days a week the whole time (teaching 7 hours a day, with 10 minutes of being hassled by children between classes)
I just didn’t want to have to apply to JET and wait to hear if I was accepted, and then be stuck in the middle of nowhere
I guess after a year or two you can hop over to a real college instead of a private school and then it’s a cushier job than JET, but I didn’t last that long ; )
So this game is pretty tight, and fuck the haters that say its just like GGXX. Spent yesterday learning Jin, of course I’m gonna play a dude that uses ICE. Actually I just read he doesnt have many bad matchups.
If anyone has experience with him, is there a way to get his 6C, 66, C, JC, j.B, j.C combo to not be techable? It seems people can always escape during the dash cancel yet it’s suppose to be a good combo? Are you just suppose to start the launch closer and hit C hella fast after the dash? And B, C, JC, j.B is a fucking tough jump cancel. Maybe I need to practice it more because this raw ass Jin I played online did it like nothing.
GGs to Trace even if all I could do were ground combos because of the above problems. Thanks for not picking V-13 every single match or it wouldve been uglier.
Hey, Hnana, I only play girl characters, too. If you try SuFuhFo again, play Chunny, she can rushdown pretty goddamn good. Also come visit Mizuumi and fight me in VP, there is not enough Kurumi.
