We need more Aion players in Seattle

So they did take some elements from ffxi…tight lol

Rofl! Fuck fafhogg. I want my 3 hours a day every 21-24hours for 4 years back…

This does not make it sound ‘fun.’

Lol this is such comedy to read. Man good write up Zass. I really wanted to play Aion when it came out (was on beta and all) but my pc just couldnt handle it. So i have to wait til i can get one that can actually play it and ill be right with you folks.

I was going to roll a cleric, I knew they would be a beast to kill past their mana.

put in long hours and receive great reward. asians have always followed practiced and believed this. this is why their MMOs are designed to be huge grindfests. they enjoy it.

started up an assassin – my cleric is 36 but getting tired of the grind, so giving her a rest. Any SRKers still playing?

Yo dude, that’s too bad we’re on different servers. We should hang out sometime and compare notes. But basically, clerics are way better than sins, and if the QQing on the aion source forums are any indication, they rape sins in the endgame. I’m a 42 sin btw. Double xp weekends have been a god send. NCSoft incompetently keeps nerfings sins . They might have used to be good but now after a series of patches:

  1. Global pvp damage reduction, without any reduction in healing or defensive abilities of templars/glads. DPS is sins bread and butter, we have highest DPS in the game.
  2. Lowered crit rate multiplier from 2.8 to like 2.3. Crits are key for sins. The global pvp damage reduction was bad enough.
  3. The hit detection in this game is a fucking joke. I can be right next to a mother fucker and still not him them. “Target too far away”. Its bad enough on the ground, but in the air, its 1000000x worse.
  4. Newest patch will have seeds that let you detect through advanced stealth.
  5. Apply poison no longer prevents flight. Since sins are garbage in the air, this is bad.
  6. Oh and of course, no CC whatsoever.
  7. Our key skills don’t work in the air. Specifically, ambush, and aerial bind, which would actually make us viable in the air, since they are two of our most important stuns in the game.
  8. Rune detonation is magic based. So if someone stacks magic resist, it completely negates our runes, and of course, two of our rune detonations are stuns.

So basically, if you want to play a sin, brings lots of consumables, and have ridiculously good gear, and be prepared to work hard for it. In terms of gear, you want to hit the soft crit cap of 440 (before 440, 10 points in crit = 1% crit. After 440, you get diminishing returns). After that, you want to get attack speed. This will keep your victims in stunlock. Then stack either evasion, to keep yourself alive, or just plain old attack.

I don’t have that much pvp experience, as you can see, I only have 100 or so kills, because I’ve been focused on grinding. Don’t really see the point of pvp before 50, since I can get way more AP through farming. Oh and also I’m too poor to afford the really good gear. I only have green weapons for now  However, I have reached a point where I can consistently gank lower level prey which is fun, esp w stealth. Its too bad they are gonna nerf stealth in the next patch. The trick is never let them fly away. Decloak, stun and kill. If they fly away, switch to your bow and chase them down.

Well, Jie, you’ll always have your busty avatar with her booty skirt and bikini armor.

Grant I still haven’t figured out what your avatar is about.

Cool writeup Jie. My sin is lvl 21 now, and cleric lvl 39. You’re right that for my cleric, a sin 1-1 is no problem. However I will get insta ganked by pairs of sins together that uncloak and just keep me stunlocked. 39 is a damn chore, but with double xp weekend I made it from 36 to 39

Ya too bad we’re on different servers but even so I’m failyos and you’re emo, so we still couldn’t play together :frowning:

Yeah, I can kill a cleric, if I patiently wait for him to fight a monster, get low on life, and then jump him. otherwise, if i cannot kill him in one burst, i know that its a lost cause, so i flee and go stealth. Supposedly, in Aion, the Rock paper scissor is: Plate beats leather, leather beats cloth, cloth beats plate. Its pretty accurate, I can drop cloth pretty fast, even faster if they don’t have shields up, I do find it really annoying to kill templars, they do little dps so I can fight them for a while, but they don’t take much damage either.

Here is my bread and butter cccccombo:

flurry, ambush, 3 carve, aerial bind, surprise attack, weakening blow, crashing wind strike. after that, i throw up a focused evasion (or aether twist if they are caster) to eat up whatever attack they do, and then do counter attack, whirlwind slash.

if you have higher attack speed, you can squeeze in more attacks when they in aerial bind.

There is lots of debate whether or not to open up with ambush. i like to do it with ganking. its glitchy when people are moving about. what usually happens is that i’ll stun them, but they’ll still move forward a few steps. this is bad because it doesn’t give enough time to carve more runes. but when they are fighting another monster they are stationary, which is the perfect time to use ambush.

I took a break from pvp and went rifting in heiron, racked up 80 kills in one day. have basically doubled my entire kill count in two days
Rifting is fun, but if I’m going to get to 50 before march, I can’t afford to do pvp yet

Keri Hilson yo she is HOT

I was thinking of your Aion character, actually. Sorry for not being more specific.
I still have those pictures of you on my hard drive.
RE-RE-RE-REPOST TIME?

YO GUYS I JUST BOUGHT SOME APPLe CIDeR! SHIT’S LIKE, 4%. GONNA GET HAMMERRRD

I like how you have premium, but you still have a super tiny avatar that’s, like, the first hit off of goggle images. Keepin’ it real, you know? Like, yeah, I got those PREMIUM G’S, but it ain’t no thang, you know?
