We need more 3s players in seattle

I’ll be practicing CVS2 on the DC, as well. I guess it’s time to learn A-groove. What are all the games you play often, Zero?

it’s all about K groove dude, A groove is for people who can roll cancel. lol

anyway wish i lived closer to seattle so i could own you guys up haha ^^

Zero: You Aaron and I need to hit up some Tekken. And you two need to come to our bi-weekly tournaments. I take the 194 on second and pike. Gets out of town and then only stops at SeaTac. After that, Federal Way. Bout a 35 minute trip.

I bust out my PSP and practice up a bit during. Not too shabby a deal.

But regardless, I’m going to invite myself over some day. I could stand to learn some CvS2 basics.

seattle still ownz portland in all games ltb jtm mandeezy
the white lotus clan

fatbear&geesemaster > ltb > seattle

>.>

No offense but that is terrible advice, both of those leave you at frame disadvantage and aren’t good ticks at all

You don’t need to dash after the mp as it leaves you in range for a karakusa already. I spam this way too much, so people who play me should know this…

SAI I believe gives more ex moves which he needs dearly. If you’re not consistant with ex mgb juggles, and you don’t use a lot of ex srks, go for saIII. Also, SAI combos sometimes cause the character to fall out. I remember deezo would give a short prayer every time the super would go off, lol.

Both supers are punishable, but the options to punish SAIII aren’t as nice as SAI. I say stick with SAIII then use SAI when you are ready.

You have the best ryu combos evar! S.FPx Nothing. Remember that shit? Oh man that was funny. I’m sure you got it down now that you’ve got a stick.

what made you guys stop wanting to play in the first place, was it the stranglehold of LTB that lead to the lack of interest in 3rd stirke?

Who?

I think seattle is destined to have one or two good 3s players, and everybody else will just play it casually if it all. I think if the few of us who are around start playing each other, then we’ll get a lot better then just sitting at home in training mode.

I don’t think you quite understand the difference in the situation. We have one arcade, it’s got a worse cab then yours by far, it costs more, and it’s basically in a crappy bar. Tilt’s machine is way better, and there seems to be a lot more people playing there then there are at gw.

I think there is definitely potential as well, but nobody seems to be interested honestly. You can’t really force ambition on someone, and without that potential is worthless.

raises hand I don’t think I won a goddamn match last thursday. I’m there every week, and I never give up. I think the frustration for me is I don’t think I’m going to get any better by playing you and Justin every week. I’ve played the same two people for a year with a handful of exceptions. It’s getting pretty goddamn lame. We pretty much know how we’re going to play moreso then we know each other’s characters. Last week I did lows like 8 times in a row, and when I finally went for a standing move you parried it. That shit is frustrating.

Oh come on, you do the same shit, you just say it differently.

Like I said I think Jason’s game suffers from the fact that there is no 3s scene up here. At least Fatbear and Geesemaster are able to practice against each other, and there are a handful of other people that are decent in OR too. Considering the fact that he has no one to play against I think Jason is damn good. And he’s a hell of a lot better then LTB, or at least nobody would know since he never shows up anywhere.

cosign.

3S is a VERY frustrating game. You gotta take losing very well and think out why you lost. Every matchup is always different. You really can’t be expecting to use advance tactics on a scrub because they WILL random you. I think this is why a lot of people can’t get into 3S. Scrubs will randomly beat you if you don’t know how to fight them. People usually quit if they lose like this. In order to play 3S competitively, you really gotta study your opponent and know how to handle the matchup depending on the player (be it defensive-type, offensive-type, or just some guy being random) as well as be calm if you ever lose. I’ve seen players come and go as well as players improve greatly since I first started and these are usually the reasons why they have either stopped playing/have improved. Seriously, ask yourself how many times people who don’t like 3S tell you its too random of a game.

If you guys want more 3S players in Seattle, you guys gotta get them into this mindset.

hey mike you and tri cities should come out to portland if you can make it same with 3s players in seattle IF they can make it before evo so we can all get a broad fresh practice ya know? i think it’s a good idea anyone second that?

I would love to get some pre-evo practice over there but work is killer. Back To School sales suck for retail workers. Weekends are pretty much mandatory.

What is with this bullshit mentality. More then anything else I’ve encountered on this forum or in this community pisses me off more then that. If someone is going to say some shit, then just fucking say it. It doesn’t matter how long anyone has been in the scene, if they say 2+2=4 then they are right regardless.

Jason would beast ltb if he played top tier but he opts to play oro. If he ever changes to chun I guarantee you ltb will have shit on him. Right now Jason doesn’t even really play 3s. He’s been playing marvel, and when he does play 3s he just gets lazy and uses the unblockables instead of actually improving his game.

Besides LTB isn’t all that great. Fatbear and geese whoop his ass for free.

Everyone that plays 3S, should just play Marvel, ST, or CvS2.

Basically anything out there that isn’t 3S hahah.

^^ Damn…

Fuck that shit.

Hahaha. I’m not gonna hate on 3s. It’s a great game. It’s just that Marvel, CVS2, and ST are much more appealing to me. I’m willing to play if you swing by Preppy’s again, Gray Fox. Hook up the 3s board and get hyped? I’m down for that any day.

lol youve never seen ltb play anyone besides ken did you know he can use hella ppl also if u ask jason who the better player between himself and ltb he will tell you ltb is, i just spoke with him your more than welcome to ask, difference in between players at GW is that they just started playing and have no exp with other players cept for jason whom hes playing just for kicks and not to be hella l33t ltb has played with all the peeps in japan and he hasnt touched the game in months thats the difference.
also the only way to explain the white lotus clan is to watch this words cannot describe the powers locked within the scrolls.
