Anyone have any opinions on Strange/Shuma as a shell? I really think Mystic ray is a top 3 assist for strange because it’s full screen, can give you additional damage for FoF loops and offers some of the best keep away for strange. I was having fun with it the other day doing mystic ray teleport mixups and converting to jump loops. I think Shuma/Strange is really good as well because you can go right into FoF loops off a shuma BnB using his mystic stare explosions and hard tag. So is Shuma/Strange or Strange/Shuma the better shell? What are your opinions?
I’ve been playing Shuma Strange for a bit over a year, its pretty good, really fun, and quite stylish. You can see some games in vod’s from the stream I play on, or there is this match from ncr.

Is Viper / Bolts / Jam Session a good team? I know Jam + Viper is great but is it good for Strange? I always hear he needs a vertical assist.
And is Storm / Bolts / Missiles good? I love Storm to death but her damage is shit. But you can get FoF loops off Hailstorm so…

I’m sure this team can be pretty sick.
I said on the Dormammu forum that Jam/Dark Hole/Bolts was the way to go, but honestly this team could go a number of ways and still work.
Strange/Dormammu/Dante is pretty powerful, Strange gets pressure/safety off both assists, and can DHC to Stalking Flare then back to Strange for a short flameloop extension, more if you haven’t used Jam.
And, if you’re crazy and wanna try out Dorm point, he has the tools he wants with those two backing him (and Strange second with Jam anchor is a really strong shell).
You could also go Dante with crystal to give Dormammu the otg assist and get overall a bit more damage/meter off a TAC to Dormy (and there’s no one on that team who doesn’t like meter), but that means no jam, and jam session is too good.
Question for all the Strange/Dante users out there, and I know there’s a few.
When you DHC from Vishanti to Devil Trigger and it hits, j.S into a full combo will only give you about mid 700-k damage, uses a lot of meter, and doesn’t build anything in return. I find I lose meter if I rely off those fullscreen random super punishes too much. So, what I have ended up doing is combo-ing into Dante’s grapple and getting random crossups from calling bolts and boxdashing like a moron.
What do you guys do after a blocked or hit Vishanti/Trigger DHC?
And Gefen, I definitely know you don’t have too many problems with this, you’ve got unblockables on block and two higher-hitstun extension assists on hit.

In all honesty Dorm is my weakest character of the 3 so I’ve been playing him on point. The reason for that is I have 2 great assists backing me up and believe it or not jam session can let you otg midscreen using flame carpet (kinda tough but not impossible).
If I want to play Dante I have bolts for mixups and dark hole for damage.
If I want to use strange on point Jam Session adds a shitload of damage and meter build but not sure what dark hole does for strange.
Dorm/Bolts is so easy. kinda.
Seriously, if you get a chance, just do fH+Bolts, if you teleport M, on hit you fall with j.H land j.MMH j.MHS j.MHS st.MS into combo and do a lot of damage off a nasty crossup, or you can teleport again between bolts 1 and 2 and mixup more, or fishhook over them after the bolts.
Or still do fH+Bolts, don’t teleport at all, and charge up multiple times before throwing out a tower or two.
Get space, then win, or try at any rate. That’s the plan, but Dorm/Bolts is a bit vulnerable if they have room/time to rush in. So, that’s why I think Dorm second’s a good call. Dorm does do better at pushing people away when he has Jam Session, though.

I’m not too sure if this has already been asked or not, but what is the Strange group consensus on Skrull Strange? I know you can’t derp bolt meteor smash, but I wanted to know if it was even worth it?

You have that team in a really strange order. You’re better off ordering it Mag/Strange/Dante so you have access to 2 team supers Mag/Strange or call Bolts assist first then do team super while Strange is locked out so you get Mag/Dante.
Well, I’ve been mostly concerned with trying to get Faltine loops going and the only meter efficient way I’ve seen is to hard tag after Acid Rain with Dante on point. I still can’t break more than 8.5 doing that and starting Magnus doesn’t seem to fix that problem - but I’ll try to mess with your Team Super suggestion.

Well, there is nothing much to add other than the optimal Magneto stuff and a Strange bolts extension to it. If you do the right combos, it’ll always float around 900K, depending on your confirm and on the enemy’s hitbox since the magnetic tempest will hit differently depending on it (like, Hulk will sure take more than 900, since he’s a big body). The best extension I’d recommend would be to wear out the grav loops (even in a corner combo, the most damaging option is to do only one H-dash-H-blast and 4 grav loops; this actually got me thinking, since I always thought the magnetic blast stuff dealt more damage, but I was wrong), and then do a horizontal extra version like this:
(grav goes out, buffer jump) ADF j.H j.S s.H+Bolts DisruptorL (bolt hit) s.H GravM (second bolt hit, grav grabs the enemy again)
Here, if you got Dante second, just do tempest into million dollars; If you have Strange next, due to cooldown time, you’ll need to H-S-superjump-j.H-disruptor-tempest. Notice that this deteriorates further more the hitstun, so it might be needed to shorten your combo for it to work. Usually you’ll only need to change the last hyper-grav from the M version to the L one and you should be fine.
