there is no entry for block stun cuz it depends at which height you hit your opponent or rather with which active frame of your hitbox. it “changes” from every time used.
also depends on the used move.
there IS block stun however, or you could be reversaled on your way down.

I’m seriously having the biggest bitch of a time with Dan and his stupid knee pressure. The only thing that beats it is zonk and slide, both of which can either go through or under it if just slightly mistimed under corner pressure. Zonk can also be thrown, and slide sucks if it’s blocked. Anything else gets counterhit, and knee is also armorbreak.

Dan gets the crap zoned out of him, but i swear everything Cody has in this matchup seems like a total guess once Dan gets in.

Just lame out Dan because they all play extremely lame. After a blocked knee (which is 0 on block) they will either throw or SRK, every time. Backdash and get the hell out of there. Also, expect fullscreen EX dankyaku.

Lame him out, Cody can play pretty lame because of his good AAs and pretty good pokes.

Since the overhead is -1 on hit is it punishable by anything?

Technically a 1+0 grab ultra but, I’ve never seen it happen.

That’s the problem – the one i play regularly actually mains Dan so a blocked lk.knee is just as likely to end up in a c.lpxxlk.knee, and uncertain SRKs get FADCed. Cody’s backdash goes nowhere, so it gets caught by knees. Like you said, if there’s some space between us i can zone, but if he gets in i’m stuck in a really bad guessing game where even if bingo or slide go under the knee, they don’t recover in time to block anything after. Blocking just puts me in the corner where i’m totally fucked.

Basically the options are like this:
U1 hits close lk.knee, but has to be used on prediction. Guess what happens if you guess wrong.

Bingo beats knee, but only if there’s space. If it’s close, it goes through and you’re free while in recovery. In some cases knee eats bingo from the back. Same with slide, except it doesn’t actually do anything good if it hits.

forward dash goes under Dan, but the timing’s really tight.

neutral jump

Hittable if it’s close since lk.knee is even on block, and beaten by SRK.

Tell him to stop being a Dan lamer.

Or counter pick to Akuma or Sagat and lame back.

Honestly Dan is not a real character, you can’t look at it as a real match up. Every fight against Dan is just a clusterfuck.

He’s usually green and he has this ability to turn himself all electric and shit. I usually barrel roll asap in that match up.

Blanka is an annoying Green Asshole.

Hope MK Ruffian gets patched to have faster startup and more range so we can punish blocked blanka balls/cammy spikes. That shit’s annoying cuz it’s free chip or trade for them.

you can punish rolls with lk ruffian good enough - if you block in standing position.

How does cody counterpoke point blank makoto’s b+mp?
Seem to run into karakusa traps all the time.
cept with ex bingo or ultra.

I always seem to have problems with the C. Viper matchup, any advice?

i find that cmk messes with her spacing pretty well when she’s burn kicking, but a good viper applies so much pressure from so many directions i eventually forget which way to block and how to tech a throw and not to throw my controller

I’m having trouble with bison when he starts the knee presses going.

If he tries to short after a block short knee press you can down short xx mk ruffian

if he tried to empty knee press you can still down short xx mk ruffian or just mk ruffian

but if he down forwards it counters the previous options

I really don’t know how to discourage him from doing this or get out of it. When he jumps I usually anti air him but once he figured out that j.hp beats most of codys stuff you can’t keep him off of you anymore.

I end up feeling like I’m just running away from him the whole match. How do I “fight” him?
