-b.mp and h.rk beats her jumpins
-if she likes to walk up and grab use cr.lk(cast 4 ron will grab the shit out of you @.@)
-rocks are very useful in spacing in this match up but be careful of ultra 1
-if you bait EX sbk you can ultra 2 on reaction but honestly i recommend ultra 1 to make the thought of jumping unbearable

VS Hawk
-That’s me vs MikeZ’s Hawk. I’m convinced Cody wins this match up.
-The name of this game is zoning. Establish a range and keep it. Right outside of Hawk’s business normals(MP,HP,RH) is where you wanna stay. If he whiffs one of his moves you tag him with your own. Standing Strong, Fierce and Roundhouse are your best bets. You can win this match on just counterpokes. [Fun fact-Counter Hit far strong can combo into cr.MP]
-If you lose an exchange of normals be sure to CHILL THE FUCK OUT. Trying to press something will more than likely lead to you running into another of Hawk’s normals. He hits harder per capita than Cody so you can’t afford eating too many chops and boots. Just back up a bit and keep your zone.
-Throw rocks. Projectiles make Hawk’s life miserable. He will have to resort to jumping sooner or later. Note that EX Condor Spire is projectile invulnerable.
-When he jumps your standard AA options(b.MP, cr.MK) work wonderfully. Standing RH and RH Ruffian are VERY useful in this match up. They ever work against the Dive.
-MK Ruffian will always punish a blocked Dive. Ultra 2 also works but practice it so you don’t fire it off too early and get only the dirt.
-Don’t be stupid with your specials. Be sure you space out your Uppers and Zonks. Properly spaced Jab Uppers can score you relatively safe damage. Hawk can retaliate against MP, HP Uppers with standing Fierce from pretty far away.
-Don’t be stupid with your pressure. Trying to rush Hawk down with the standard fare is just asking for trouble. Stick to legitimate block strings and back up if they’re blocked.
-Hawk’s DP move is ass. Jump ins will often win against it. But you shouldn’t be jumping at Hawk too much. People will wise up and start using his cl.RH as AA. Don’t know about you guys, but I don’t like getting hit by a 140 damage AA.
-The Knife in this match is up is pretty good. It lets you be more annoying with your pokes and cr.Fierce is a great AA.
-Some common Ultra set ups for Hawk: Dash in 720, Instant Dive whiff 720, fake cross up 720. Be on the look out for these.
-Condor Spire is hard to talk about because it is at all time a horrible move and an amazing one.

Question about Blanka, and pushing the ball on hit with Ultra 2
Will the ultra hit if the Ball is a counter hit? If nobody knows, I’ll probably test it out later.
f mp and f hk seemed to be working aight against sissor kicks from bison…also jab - CU seemed to work if he thru out pokes too close after sissors.
m.rk beat sizzor kick,but it needs to be spaced and timed a little early

fucked up a few rogs today by holding multiple zoinks…wasting one for bait then releaseing the next to punish then charging up two again. Used footsies with my kick buttons and used jab sparringly but cr light kick more with some sweeps which actually beat out his regular headbutts…rog is fucked against cody…dont forget you still have access to rocks with lp but use mp and hp for zoinks with occaisional overheads

cody wins vs t hawk like 7/10 times if you ask me. What can t hawk do? T hawk can win if he stays inside. But its so hard for him to get there. Hard ruffian kick beats almost everything t hawk can do. Its a boring match up because if your cody you have to just spam rocks and hard ruffian kick. At a scrub level t hawk wins, but if you just play the match up correct t hawk will have a really hard time getting in. So lets stop talking about t hawk vs cody because it easy to say cody wins that match up easy. I just think scrubs dont understand the match up. As i will even admit i didnt at first.
Speaking of Abel, as I’ve mentioned in another thread, it seems that Cody’s U2 is a direct counter to Breathless. An Abel failed to grab me out of the startup in a match today, as Cody instead just got pushed back by Abel’s dash before the dust hit.
what does LDD mean? You say it can punish anything bison does
