Spitfire assist is great, works well with Firebrands spitfire (heh) for example, Firebrand can get a fully charged missile H off of it, just like sent drones or ammy star. It’s weakness I think is that is basically a weaker Sent drones, it hits twice, doesn’t last as long, but does hit crouchers. Also people aren’t willing to learn RR just for that assist, at least they can easymode with sent.

Very true. Although it’s sort of nice that a stray hit on RR won’t nullify his fireballs, unlike Sentinel.

I actually use Rocket with Strider. You basically use Vajra and dig and hit them low and Strider (not sure i think he hits high) hits and it’s a combo especially if you use crouching M to leave them airborne. I also think Spitfire is being slept on I don’t really even use the Log Assist even when I chose it. Oh yeah almost forgot you can Rock and Roll into Ouroboros and used Vajra H since Rock and Roll leaves them airborne. and they’re DHC options are not bad.

Hey guys, new here. I need some suggestions. I used to run Ghost Rider (heartless spire)/Frank West(shopping cart)/Rocket Raccoon (pendulum). i am, however, dropping Ghost Rider, as he is pretty bad. Any suggestions as to who could be his replacement?

I would probably actually put RR first and Frank second on that team, you could use pretty much any solid anchor character 3rd, but both characters would be very well complimented by a good beam or projectile assist.

With Rocket/Frank you can end a combo in THC and get a free shot off with frank as his section ends way earlier (it may be possible to get 2, but I haven’t tested it myself).

The third is really up to you, personally I like Doom so Doom with Plasma beam would be great. Hawkeye or Magneto (a lot of work to learn though) would be other solid choices, but there are others obviously.

I’m starting to agree with RR on point with characters with good assists. With the right assists he can be THAT much more annoying.

It’s also beneficial that you don’t have to worry about a mixup when he’s incoming following your point characters KO. Sure a lot of people have 1 touch K.O.s on Thor off of said mixups, but 750k is a much more manageable figure to reach.

I’ve been RR/Hawk/Doom from day 1 mainly to practice keeping him alive and it works fine to be honest. I can DHC into clint to add a little bit of damage to kill if need be and RNR ->Gimlet works well on hit or block and Mad Hopper -> Super Scatter shot works well as a “get out of my face” mix. If hopper hits scatter juggles off it and they are otherwise forced to block the hopper and super scatter which pushes them out on block.

I get how pendulum is a good assist, but it’s nice that I don’t rely on it. He dies so easily in a happy birthday situation so I rarely call him, but that’s nice because people don’t expect the log coming a lot of the time and it tags them allowing me to combo off the bounce which I can’t use otherwise unless he’s on point.

Oh speaking of which if you’re using hawkeye and RR with hawkeye on point when it comes to the end of your combo where you would normally land and OTG poison xx gimlet you can land, call RR then otg poison XX gimlet and the log trap combos off the gimlet hit into a wall bounce. After extended combos there’s not much you can do besides another gimlet, but hey good to know how to eke out a little extra damage if you need it I guess (that said DHC into RNR could work better anyway but it gives you an option when you don’t want RR to come in)

Yeah for me I’m staring to shift towards it. I don’t like Pendulum or at least relying on it lol Only time I call it is to extend combos now other than that I rarely do it. Also I have Vergil so it’s like I can go into Spiral Swords or DT

It feels good from about 2/3rds screen distance where you can tag air-dashes or something with startup/recovery, but I’lm always covering it with like a plasma beam or greyhound when it comes out so it’ll sometimes hit but I won’t get the bounce. On block…well I made them block it or it’ll eat some projectile durability for me too. Far from worthless, but not something I feel is spammable as I sometimes see from RR players.

You should get in the habit of using RR to make Vergil’s strings safe, Vergil is very punishable on most all of his strings. If you aren’t especially good at hit confirming, calling pendulum at the end just to keep them in blockstun would be a good idea.

Yeah it always feel good to do the hit confirm like 2/3rds of a way. My issue however though is who should go on point lol

RR, less reliance on meter and more reliance on assists.

Yeah I figured as much. Seems more stable too. I’ve been running Vergil RR Strider. but I figured the order could be reversed.

Is this a good team for Rocket Racoon?

Racoon(claymore)/Sentinel(charge force)/Strider(the only assist that matters)

Is charge force the normal drones? If so then yes, it is amazing.

Seems you’ll have to cover sentinel and wait a little when calling him then teleporting to allow for safe teleport crossups, but it’ll allow you to advance across the screen behind them with Rocket skates pretty well too…or just use Strider. Interesting team, but not sure about claymore tbh. What are you planning on using it for?

does it disappear when your point character is hit or not?

I’ve been running (Hulk - anti air Gamma/RR - spitfire twice/Doom - missiles) in that order. This is my go to team and the team I use most in Ranked Matches. Missiles help Hulk and RR with lockdown and has saved me from getting punished multiple times, anti air Gamma charge helps get people off of RR and Doom for breathing room, and spitfire twice helps with a relaunch combo I do with Hulk for over 1 million damage points along with corner pressure. I need to work on my Doom offense in order for spitfire to help Doom, but other than that log trap helps Doom more. I have been thinking about putting RR on point instead of Hulk and changing the Hulk assist to horizontal Gamma charge for better corner pressure. Any RocketHulks or RocketDooms out there?

Rocket Raccoon y/Storm a/Hawkeye a or Rocket Raccoon y/Super Skrull y/Hawkeye a? Which one do you think is a more solid RR team?
