Yes, left to right is the way to go, if it were right to left it would have said HP~MP~LP, which wouldn’t produce the desired result. Then yeah, all 4 at once. Online you may get wonky execution and end up doing a jump-back punch or a teleport, so be careful.
Why would that be a bad idea at the END of a match? He saving his ex for the next match somehow?
yea… he wouldn’t WANT to be trying to save up for the next round if he’s that close to winning the match… and most ppl can’t read the EXACT damage output needed to get a kill…lol. I sure as hell can’t. I just say “look…the meter is low… i’m in a combo…its the last round… i have 3 stock…okay I’ll go for the lp FADC” which is exactly what he did and what he should ahve done. ESPECIALLY and against SETH of all characters. I mean… the amount of health he had left was enough to be killed by a c.lk landing pretty much lol.
and to loyal… he used lp SRK… which is what you should use. And while he might have gotten more damage off a ground hado FADC I honestly would ahve done the SAME thing he did right there at the end because it looked like there was a good chance for the kill and the execution is much easier than on ground hado FADC’s. more important though is just the thought process of thinking to do a ground FADC when its not normally what you’d do after a focus hit.
EDIT: I’d also wonder why he chooses to use c.lk as he misses his HK combos a few times because of it…
Oh yes I am aware of that. I am mainly referring to the combo he used to get up to that point. It wasn’t a bad selection and it may just be my own personal preference to use a slightly different set up to get a few more hits in.
A LP SRK allows all 3 hits of the fireball to hit.
Punch does slightly more damage over the kick. The kick’s advantage is you can use it from slightly further out. The punch is better to use if you started the HK from further in.
i don’t know… personally i have never found a time that I was IN c.lp lk range bbut OUT of c.lp range. Usually if i’m “too far away” I’ll either just block for a second and reset my position, go for a jump in, go for a dash and then kara-throw (although his kara range is weaksauce :/) or do c.mk, FB to finish (usually the first or the last options).
i don’t know… personally I don’t really have an issue with range after a HK… it seems easy enough to read if you are in c.lp range or c.mk range and use accordingly. But I guess some ppl prefer that extra little bit of safety off the tiny tiny tiny extra range.lol. more important thing I’d think though would be if the opponent gets hit and you link is off… if you do c.lk you might still get a combo if they din’t block low.
You can just get a feel for it. I usually use the distance from (with trying to make this sound perverted) Akuma’s crotch to the other player in order to judge which move to use. I rank MP, LP, and LK as this
LK:
Pros: Best distance and connectivity
Cons: Worst damage
LP:
Pros: Better damage without sacrificing connectivity
Cons: Worse distance
MP:
Pros: Best damage
Cons: Worst connectivity and as a result worst distance.
some… uhh… really … uhh… odd choices there. I’d say more but I’m tired so I might come off like a dick or something lol. in short ya need a little work and that ken sucked something fierce.
The scaling was already big. He probably could have done more damage by just letting him land and red fireball on wakeup for chip damage. IDK just not a good idea imo. Anything flashy after a stun off BnB(besides resets) gets little reward.
ive tried this a hundred times… doing u/b + lp~mp~hp i never see 2 jabs come out… i dont know what your doing but it must be somethiing different… all i ever see is one jap
Well, it’s d/b+LP~MP~HP for one, and two you won’t see two jabs come out at all, only in the input display on training. You’re not doing it fast enough if two jabs aren’t registering. Try just LP~MP, the input should read:
LP+MP
LP
That’s two jabs right there, if you can’t get that then you need to work on it.
Also, people bad-mouthing c.LP after far roundhouse are insane, that’s the shindig right there. especially LP~MP. I don’t ever find that I’m in a range where c.LK will work but c.LP won’t.
