Maybe you should understand what people are saying before you make fun of it. If you watch the earlier videos of Daigo playing Akuma his Akuma was not looking up to par. Daigo is still Daigo and was winning off his ability to make reads, but you could see the way he was playing Akuma was going to be detrimental in the long run.

No one was saying he couldn’t learn Akuma, but that he hadn’t learned him yet. This recent video looked like he improved a lot with him.

I could “explain”, but instead I’ll quote so you understand my mockery properly.

Makes sense.

^ Priceless.

And I leave the new kids on the block to their own opinionated theories on how good the créme de la créme of Japanese Fighting Game Community is, compared to themselves.

Toodles.

I think you are the new kid who is on the “Daigo can do no wrong” bandwagon. Again maybe you should understand what people are saying before you start making fun of it.

Daigo has been timing opponents out at an insane rate with Akuma (What was he up to? 40?). He has more time outs in playing Akuma for a month than Tokido, -6, and Eita had in a year. When you watch him play he is trying to play Akuma exactly as Ryu which you can’t do. In addition in sets against Kazunoko Daigo has been getting obliterated with Akuma to the point where he just went back to Ryu and dominated Kazunoko. That should give you a clue which character he is playing correctly because Ryu is disadvantaged or even with Seth while Akuma has the advantage.

Daigo has not been playing well with Akuma because he is not using Akuma correctly. Your problem is you can’t see that people are saying DAIGO HAS BEEN DOING POORLY WITH AKUMA not DAIGO SUCKS.

This recent video shows he has been improving with him. Thus he is looking more competent with Akuma. And just in case you don’t know the meaning of the word.

“Having the necessary ability, knowledge, or skill to do something successfully”

Even the best of the best can only do so well with a character they know nothing about. The people who tend to be masters of all characters are generally those who practice with all the characters.

Your brain is turned off, that is why you can only see in black and white. I’m not defending Daigo.
Hell,
The top comment is mine. I’m the guy insulting Daigo fanboys.
The reason why I made that comment is precisely because people are allowed to play like shit (also, playing like “shit” and whining against the best Claw on XBL who wins vs Tokido? He wasn’t playing like Tokido, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t playing a decent game; but hey, he missed shit, I guess he’s horrendous). You might have a hard time understanding what shades of gray are. Just because I don’t claim Diago “sucks monkey balls”, doesn’t mean I suck his.

On the other hand, the other end of the spectre, fucking 3 foot tall nobodies, are equally retarded.

Instead of worrying if I’m defending Daigo, learn to distinguish between idiots who can’t even speak properly and criticize every fucking thing about someone while claiming they themselves are better, and someone who’s making a mockery of said ignorants.

And if you had gone through the work of reading his latest posts, they’re all the same caliber of garbage and kiddy talk.

You didn’t specify that in your post till after I posted so please don’t get on my case about it. If you don’t want people misreading you then don’t leave any room for interpretation. That is the golden rule of written language.

The number one rule of being fucking stubborn is:
“One does not admit to having been wrong, ever”.

You know what horses use to look ahead?
That.

Take it off. I don’t have to whisper in your ear every time I state something. People with predefined ideas and limited interpretations are bound to make the sort of mistakes you do. When that happens, a simple “ah, sorry about that” or “my bad” works wonders.

It’s just a hint, you don’t have to take it to heart.

Sorry you can’t blame others when your writing is ambiguous.

I can admit to being wrong if I am actually wrong, but in this case you didn’t make your writing clear enough.

I hadn’t seen your post from over a page ago so this is all I saw and thus I interpreted it based off these posts.

Translation: I had no idea what I was talking about. Sorry about that.

Apologies accepted.

Back to posting akuma videos in this thread.

Man now I understand why tokido always picks that stage and akuma color, it’s so fucking hard to see his wiffs. Liking how momochi crouch blocks demon flips now, though the side switching fucks me up. And I agree he was sloppy with the aa…he could even have demoned quite a few times…he also missed some ultra cancels after momochi focus absorbed the sweep.

More Daigo -

How many heavy punches in a row can fuerte do? I always thought he was limited to 4.

Run stop fierce is an infinite, or at least can go until pushed out of range. I think TKD has done 13 in a row.

If I’m not mistaken Poongko did 15 or 16.

IMO even though there’s damage scaling, Fuerte players who are highly capable of the executing the RSF should keep doing it until they miss, or at least do a lot more of it before going for the sweep. I.e at the last round the Fuerte player would have won the match if he did one more fierce before the sweep, but he didn’t and lost.

It actually is a true infinite but just so impracticle and hard to do after so many reps. At one point you have to hit a 1 frame link to keep it going.

More Daigo

Gotta admit, Daigo’s AA is very good. Doesn’t often miss an opportunity to swat fools out of his grill. Still, he’s still playing Akuma like he’s Ryu a little too much for my taste. And he’s not yet on par with his setups, but he seems to be getting more comfortable using him. Though let’s face it, Daigo’s scrubiness with Akuma > x10 My scrubiness with Akuma… :stuck_out_tongue:

So wait is daigo actually planning to use gouki or what?

(Not a daigo dickrider)
