just heard from a friend he murder faced everyone basically. anyone got any vids yet? I missed the stream
Day 1 introced an exhibition in which Tokido beasted on fools.
Day 2 held the 3v3 and 5v5 AE toutneys, but I don’t remember Tokdio even playing there at all, his teammates did all the work for him, EU is so free to japan lol.
Day 3 the singles tournament, there were some nice matches there.
Overall the stream wasn’t good though, too much unnecessary delayes between matches (you had to wait for like 10 minutes sometimes to see the next match) and no solid commentary either, so good luck fishing for those Tokido replayes xD
Adoribu Ouji #7 ranked Akuma

Day 1 : timeline 3h13
Am I understanding this right, but did ex dp beat out Zangiefs U2? Interesting.
Invincible is invincible nothing magic I think. Though every time I saw this, the contact was in the way up.
One thing I learned was the c:mk: against Bison’s dashes. It beats all kind of dashes or is there some tricks to know ? It may be hard to do at certain distances but it seemed like godly in this video.
The BP and PP in acrades have a different value compared to the console system. You can notice that after that Gouki player defeats Cammy he gains more then 150 BP points for the win, which never happens on PSN\XBL.
To put it simple, in arcade you gain more points for winning then you do playing on consoles, hence the unrealistic BP and PP numbers of some players (like Daigo’s over 300k BP Yun in vanilla AE lol).
Mago’s vanilla SF4 Sagat had over 600,000+ BP, now that’s a LOT of BP lol.
EX DP is also throw invulnerable.
Thats interesting. Something I never really knew. Definitely changes the way I see/play that matchup when he has u2 loaded.
Not neccesarily. Theres 3 kinds of invincibility in SF4. Throw, Projectile and Strike. Hakans flying oil spin is the perfect example for this.
I’m pretty sure Akuma’s EX DP is completely invincible for 18 frames, only a couple of things can fuck with it in this game (i.e Seth’s EX DP, it probably has 20+ invincible frames).
Tokido posted some vids of himself from WGC.

Battle for the South Top 8 matches. Ended up getting 4th. Made a lot of errors in these matches. I had to wait over 5 hours between finishing the normal bracket and playing in the top 8.

Happy seems to have your number. What was going on with your execution in the Happy match? You were getting jump roundhouse in bizarre places.
To be honest I can’t even remember what I hit in those situations. I just know it wasn’t what I wanted. My execution was on point all morning and then I get to top 8 and I start dropping crap left and right.
In the second video, against the Abel player at 00:27: throw in corner > dash > dash > jump forward RH. Is that something new?
the match vs rufus was especially bad. He was giving you ZERO respect with all those mashed ex messiahs and you never caught on to start and bait them.
On the other hand, he wasn’t respecting your DP either because he never stopped his strings to block and you NEVER mashed dp (even tho you had bars to FADC a lot of times) to make him respect you.
It’s impossible to win against rufus by playing like that, and i’m not even talking about execution errors or footsies or whatever. The whole way you approached the match was totally wrong.
I haven’t seen it before. I’m guessing the throw nerfs allows for a new setup against Abel.
I just tested this and it is a fake cross up. Quite similar to the one mentioned in the setup thread however the difference with j.HK is that it will whiff if Abel doesn’t block.
