He got wasted as Ken on the latest GG stream. Maybe he will go back to Akuma. Still, I can see why he switched. They did some rediculous things to SSF4 Akuma.
He has said he was saving Akuma for SBO.
Didn’t SBO already happen?
Can’t expect him to learn ssf4 akuma in a week? and he did pretty well with Ken at nsb17.
Wish me luck guys, next week is our national championship.
According to some people I may be in the race to be Holland’s best player :).
A few times it was because of the spacing. The lk tatsu would have whiffed. Also, if the distance is too far and the opponent’s hitbox is large enough, the HK tatsu picks up crouching opponents from the ground via its first hit and then juggles the rest. I saw his use of opting for HK tatsu in these situations as pretty impressive as he was maximising his damage potential.
But yes, Tokido faltered. He tends to have a patchy track records in tournaments though such is life for Akuma players. It can be all or nothing a lot of the time. Conversely, Momochi tends to perform consistently with Akuma due to his more reserved style. I’m thinking Tokido might need to step back on his eagerness to throw himself into the fray and instead try out Momochi’s more conservative approach. Momochi tears shit up once he gets a good opportunity though until he has that opportunity he’s often biding his time.
Good luck man! Post vids!
Day 1 results for online GodsGarden 2 SSFIV tournament : News : EventHubs.com
Results + videos. Enjoy.
Thanks for elaborating on the hk tatsu mystery Gamogo. Makes sense to me. I think Tokido’s style of play for Akuma is hit or miss for tournament play, but Momochi’s style is excellent. IMO Momochi represents the most efficient, the most “perfect” way of playing Akuma: Biding your time with superior zoning and smart poking until an opportunity arises to get a knockdown and proceed to destroy.
Laughter even with the ridiculous things they did to Akuma in SSF4 he is still better than Ken IMO.

Couple off the Replay Channel this morning. the Keike Desora match is all sorts of hype.
godlike double post
Who else are ya’ll feeling besides Tokido? As far as replays go? Anybody else to check for?
infiltration has a few vids about, jr has a ton but i find his a bit more ridiculous. not to say that he’s a bad player at all, but he has so many gimmicks for landing demons and has come to rely on it quite a bit it seems. i find my eyes rolling a lot watching his.
i just want momochi to come back to akuma.
I like watching JR’s matches. Yes, his style is “unortodox” if you compare it to what the usual Akuma matchups are supposed to be like, but that’s what sets him appart, IMO. He’s willing to play outside the box to get things done. Plus he’s got the reflexes and execution to follow through and come up with wins by the bucket-loads! Don’t be hatin’…
But I do agree with your following sentiment: I’d like to see Momochi take up Akuma again on a regular basis. Ken sucks!!
fujino(ndsg on xbl) is good, also eita(eita1988)
Fujino used to have like 14000+ BP few months back, and now he’s like barely over 11K. I wonder what happened.
Anyone remember K66, that blatantly aggressive Akuma back in Vanilla? Wonder what he’s been doing these days.
The only thing I really remember him for is his ridiculous rushdown play against Zangiefs. But other than that, I dun think there was anything too fantastic about him.
lol.
K66 was a fine player. Its awesome to hear Fujino is still playing too, I gotta find some of his matches
