Well to be quite real the show is garbage and there really isn’t a lot of content in it that is entertaining. I don’t think rating the women or saying which one you like is disrespectful in the least because If the girls really cared they wouldn’t go on TV.
People go on reality shows because they want that public presence in addition to the prize money. Being known as the hottest chick on a reality game show is still being known. Same for the opposite. If you don’t want people to know you or what you look like chill behind the computer screen. If you want a public presence you get in front of the camera and let people know what you’re about and make them remember your face. I think it’d be more disrespectful to not say anything at all because for someone who wants any kind of fame not talking about them is the same as saying “f-k you”
Also. I’m still digging Faye. Her looks might be average but I like her attitude and energy although I think everyone else I know finds it annoying as hell.

I definitely see what oJuggernauto was trying to say. Although I agree that Faye is pretty average for me, she seems like a pretty cool person. Sure, she’s annoying, but so are most women in some way or another. Maybe she’s an attention whore, but I think she was just being nice to AJ because she really isn’t a bitch (and didn’t want to come off as one). Maybe I’m naive, but I tend to want to see the best in people. If this equates me to some loser/nerd/virgin poster, then I guess that’s what I am.
And I’ve been to mad amounts of Evos and I think 2 Final Rounds, and let me just say this… Yes, a lot of us gamers now appear more normal, but there’s a reason why there’s a huge wall of funk at Final Round. I’d probably say that most fighting game players are not necessarily nerds, but a lot of us are too fucking picky on forums. I’ve seen posters talk shit on other poster’s girlfriends in the girlfriend thread but when I see them at evo, there’s definitely a “WTF” moment. I’ll just say that a lot of people on this forum (and probably the internet in general) should take the plank out of thine own eye, before talking shit about the splinter in someone else’s.
That said, I’m not trying to cast judgment on this thread or forum (as a whole) as ugly/nerdy. Just my 2 cents.

You are correct. For one thing, it’s a matter of opinion (as was my post) and for another, it doesn’t matter who says what if it is true. I guess I was just trying to clarify why someone like Juggernaut would say what he said. It does get rather annoying, if you talk about everyone else’s issues while completely ignoring your own. Well, at least I know I get annoyed when people do that, but some may be different.
I do agree though, that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, I can also voice my opinion on the matter and not be wrong as well. There are no “wrong” answers here, just everyone’s opinions. Of course, that is to be expected when talking about taste in women.

Rating chicks is a huge part of SRK culture (at the very least a behavior far more prevalent in GD than the other areas). On the flip side, making the type of statement that you did about this group, one where pics of members are posted with hot chicks and one of the best players has videos of his "Imma rush down that ass (see John Choi’s bag of condom, light sticks and sandstorm), this definitely not a crowd has all of the stereotypes. Shit, Wong’s girl is a cutie. On the real side of life, SRK standards are ridiculous for the most part; but I am fairly certain that a good 95% of them are just joking around.

Not dissing Carano. She’s attractive, especially when she’s in fighting shape (weight control is not her specialty). She stands out in part because of what she does, and what her peers look like. The best place to hide a pretty lady is to put her in a room full of other babes. Worst place to hide one is at a sausage fest, or among unattractive women.
There’s definely a “geek googles” thing when it comes to any women in male-dominated medium.
In real life Faye is below average. Flail your arms all you want, it’s the truth. Any convention or event you go to there are a dozen of girls like her - below average girls that dress up, have colorful hair, are loud, say stuff straight out of a game/anime (she fucking said Chunners’ “ya-tah” on episode 1), and, most of all… walk with a group of massive nerds who are just happy someone is talking to them.
The girl gets worshipped as a goddess (something that never happens to them in real life, where they’re below average), the guys get to hang out with a female (and be friend-zoned).
I wouldn’t say Faye is below average, I’d say she sits right about average. It’s her damn anime-ish behavior that makes her annoying and drops her a couple notches in my book.
Then again, I used to have a girlfriend who acted JUST like Faye does, but that was back when I was like 14 years old, stupid and naive. Not to mention I was into anime.
