so is this show actually about the players skill?
i keep seeing stuff about physical challenges, that seems totally irrelevant. can u be eliminated over a physical challenge, or does it just send u into a position where u have to beat someone in a game to progress? if thats the case, this should be interesting.
I don’t think Wong will do horrible at the physical challenges, unless they’re based on some rigorous endurance. This isn’t 2002 Justin who was super overweight.
I watched Season 1 out of flat out morbid curiosity. I’ll do the same with season 2, but with a bit more genuine interest with Justin being in it.
Also, none of these people (including Justin) are ‘big names’. Unless your name is Fatality or that kid from The Wizard, no average video gamer has heard of you. If he gets knocked out, worst case, the show would probably just lose half the SRK viewers it had.
Here’s hoping they have fighters for the last two games of the season.

The only two good gamers on this show are Justin and CDN. CDN was a professional Gears of War player over at MLG when it was on the circuit. Justin is going to win all the fighting games, CDN is going to win all the FPS games. Justin and CDN are probably going to split the other games, but CDN is obviously in a lot better shape than Justin. I’m gonna have to say that CDN wins.
You’re ignorant as hell if you quote me and say that GoW doesn’t take any skill by the way. I think the game is shit but to be one of the best players in it is still an accomplishment.
i was obscenely good at GoW1, and stopped playing GoW2 after finding no decent challenges. And I do agree, it IS hard to be really good at that game. You need really fast reflexes, and knowledge of good hiding spots.

tekken 6 is the first challenge. last season it was a cpu challenge to determine the ranks. whatever the format is, i envision justin beating down whoever with some easymode Feng ss+4 tactics.

to put it in street fighter terms i suppose someone bragging about knowing good hiding spots would be akin to bragging about knowing how to shoryuken or something. except shoryukening is actually useful in street fighter.

Unless you forgot to say he’s a master in many other genres, he’ll be like everyone else - really good in one genre or two, dabbles in others, sucks in others.
