Just adding my thoughts to the thread, but the title of the thread is kind of degrading. “Way to go Arizona” as if the whole state and all of it’s citizens are at fault for the attack. One person’s actions do not reflect an entire’s states.

The thread title was obviously made before the shooter was identified, or his name would have been there instead. That said, “Way to go, Arizona” doesn’t hold all citizens of Arizona responsible for this, anymore than “Way to go, California” holds all Californians responsible for the success of prop 8.

- Investigators searched Loughner’s home and found an envelope with messages including the words “I planned ahead,” “my assassination,” and Giffords’ name.
- They also found a letter to Loughner on Giffords’ stationery, in which she thanked him for attending a previous event.
- The sheriff has concluded that Lougner acted alone.
- Charges have officially been brough against Loughner, who stands accused of killing six people and wounding fourteen others.
