Very true. Mental illness is a serious issue that most people aren’t educated on, and most other people have just sat through a psyc 101 class where you learn jack shit. I blame educators more than anything. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say “Just be happier and more positive” to someone that is clinically depressed, or “Why can’t you just quit” to a severe addict. People don’t understand there are biological reasons for these conditions. Now don’t interpret this as me trying to say people are blameless for their actions (FAR from it).

It also ignores that all targets were on government officials, thus he assumes that only visual symbols from the right have an impact, and visual symobols from the left don’t because it’s ok if you are a democrat.
It’s bullshit so he dodged the debate and conceded the point.

I’ll add this: Everyone who picks a “side” in the silly political mess segment of this debate, is a purblind fool.
I sympathize, first and foremost, with the victims.
And I side with those who would foment the changes needed to help prevent future travesties such as this. Neither diehard republicans nor diehard democrats fall into this category. Nor do their representatives in the government who put themselves and their own self-centered interests ahead of those they were elected to serve. Their corporate owners sure as hell do not.
But by all means, let us just sit here and chew each other up arguing over which gaping flesh wound is going to kill us quicker - the leg with the foot severed by an axe, or the arm with the hand severed by a sword - both on the right side of the body, to clarify in advance of nitpicking - whilst we ignore the dude standing in the shadows holding both weapons, looking to bleed us further before we die and can be of no more use to him.
