Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

YAYNESSS!!!

fingers crossed hoping that Sagat WILL come back in the next SF game

About Alex getting smashed by Ryu:

Was that fight they were having in Alex’s TS ending even over? Alex admitted that he wasn’t fighting at his best in that last line he uttered, so I think he should be given a little more credit than this. Maybe he was just so unfocused that he couldn’t counter any of Ryu’s blows? Who knows?

so the guy from FF1 is not the guy from SF3?

wishes the Third Strike ending dialogue FAQs were more complete… not that it’d matter too much since Capcom USA translations aren’t as trustworthy as he’d like

Though… wonder what would unfocus him. Theretically, looking at his SF3DI ending, he should be in better fighting condition than ever…

What? Hugo is not Andore? Maybe their twins. . .

Speaking of background apperances, would someone show me the complete list of easter egg appearances in Ken’s SFA2 stage? I’ve seen CapCom and even Strider Hiryuu (I think) in there.

Yes, true. But all I’m asking is, what if that was just the beginning of the fight? If Ryu fucked up Alex as badly as everyone says he did, wouldn’t we see him all bloodied and broken as he lie on the pavement in that ending? And let’s not forget the dialogue:

Ryu: What’s the matter? Is that all you’ve got?

Alex: Ha, ha! No way! The show has only begun! Get ready!

Sure, Alex must’ve lost without a doubt, but once more, who knows? Perhaps Capcom will make a statement in the future regarding how well Alex really did against Ryu after getting up from that aforesaid knockdown?

strider is in there too, along with felicia (probably some more, but i haven’t got a good look)

I don’t know all of them, but here are the ones I do know:
(from far left)
Zabel/Lord Raptor (Vampire Savior, playing guitar)
Girl in blue dress?
Girl in yellow dress?
Unknown Soldier player 1 (Forgotten Worlds, holding plate)
Unknown Soldier player 2 (Forgotten Worlds, mohawk)
Morrigan (Vampire Savior)
Jumbo, I think. (Slammasters, He has on a championship belt, and is drinking.)
Biff Slamkovich. (Slammasters, Next to Jumbo, with headband, tassles)
Eliza
Ginzu (Captain Commando)
CapCom (Captain Commando)
Chick with bunny ears?
Strider Hiryu (Strider)
Linn Kurosawa (Alien vs. Predator)
Felicia (Vampire Savior)
Pure
Butler?

WTF??? So many!!!

What if Oro and Gouki fought Gill two-on-one? Who would win? MAybe we should tag Gen along too, but without the sickness.

scratches head I thought we concluded that Hugo was most likely to be Andore Jr, not Andore?

If not, then maybe Hugo is some other member of the Andore family that has been heretofore unknown (i.e. didn’t show up in Final Fight). Note that it’s possible we’ve been looking at this all wrong: Andore may be the characters’ first names (with the joke being that they’re all named Andore/Andre), not their last name.

The thing about AAC is that it lists characters by the names they are called in the game. For example, Shin Gouki is listed seperately from Gouki even though they are the same exact person. Hence, this is why Hugo’s listed apart from Andore, 'cuz the only games he’s called Hugo is Third Strike and Second Impact. Capcom probably gave up the name Andore, 'cuz it’s kind of O.K. to have a generic villain named Andore and look so much like the late Andre the Giant, but a selectable character? Capcom U.S.A. would probably start moving names around again like they did in SF2. Odd that he’s still called Andore in Final Fight Revenge, but that never got released in the U.S. anyway, so there’s no reason to fear a lawsuit by the Andre the Giant estate or anything. Can’t back any of this up, it’s just speculation. Anyway, just believe that he’s Andore Junior and you’ll sleep easy. Don’t know what’s up with that Billboard though.

Completed the list.

Ginzu (Captain Commando)

Kenzou Sujimoto (some guy at Capcom, apparently!)

Kenzou Sujimoto (some guy at Capcom, apparently!)
It’s Tsujimoto not Sujimoto. And he’s also in Nash’s Zero1 stage as well. he’s also the president of Capcom Jp BTW.

My take on the Alex/Ryu/Hugo fights is this.

Both Alex and Hugo fought Ryu.

Both lost to Ryu.

Ryu apparently had a harder time defeating Hugo then he did defeating Alex.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that Alex is weaker then Hugo or anything else really.

Consider A, B, C where A=Ryu, B=Alex, and C=Hugo.

A is vastly superior to both B and C in terms of talent and skill.

A fights B and wins easily.

A then fights C but struggles, not because C is a better fighter per se but because C is a bettter matchup.

Hugo is all about brute strength, endurance and power. He can absorb and deal out tremendous damage. He’s also an experienced brawler having fought numerous ‘good’ fighters before.

Alex is smaller, faster, more agile and apparently possess great potential as evidenced by his meeting with Gil. He is not as experienced as either Hugo or Ryu.

It’s probably a wrestling pay-per-view billboard because when you strip away the bg layers, the side obstructed by Cody’s prison says VS, but it doesn’t say who Hugo is fighting.

Where on Charlie A1 stage? The guy with the purple suit jacket on the left, shruging his shoulders?

I was wondering about something.

We all know that the Satsu No Hadou an murderous/evil/bad/whatever presence that exists in Akuma and once existed in Ryu, but my question is, is there something thats the total opposite?

Like the opposite of Psycho Power is Soul Power, one bad the other good.

So shouldnt there be some kinda power/energy that counteracts Satsu No Hadou?

This is a bad example since its not canon but here I go

In the Street Fight Alpha anime Ryu becomes possesed by the Dark Hadou at the end when he is fighting Dr Sadler, but sudenly stops and seems to find a more pure and more powerful source of energy than the Dark Hadou and uses that to defeat Dr Sadler.

So it got me to thinking that something similar could/might possibly exist to stand against the Satsu No Hadou, that could be Canon.

Any thoughts on this?

I don’t think there is an added benefit to not practicing the way of Satsui no Hadou, except being able to interact with people without punching them in the face until they die. I think that Ryu doesn’t practice it because he knows that by letting them live, he simply paves his way to a better fight and will end up having to train more himself.

Kenzo Tsujimoto was also a producer in Van Damme’s Street Fighter flick and executive producer in the American versions of the SF and Mega-Man cartoons.

IMDB also lists that he played an A.N. Commander in the Van Damme movie. I always heard that he was the cook that was left behind in the deserted A.N. base after the troops left to fight Bison. Yeah, I know…I know way too much about this movie than I should :stuck_out_tongue:

Disturbingly so. :wtf:

Slightly off topic AAC question. How come in AAC’s MVC2 section there are a few different pics in the ending that aren’t in my Dreamcast ending? Are these pics somehow unlockable in the U.S. DC version?

  1. Instead of the pic where Amingo hands a turnip to Rogue, she is replaced with Shuma Gorath.

  2. Bulleta’s counting her money, Iceman and Zangief are cheering.

  3. Juggernaut and Jin look into the horizon.

  4. Morrigan replaces Sakura and takes the picture with Spider-Man.

  5. Captain Commando and Gambit have replaced Jill and Psylocke in that pic with Guile and Captain America.

  6. Magneto looks forward, Gouki has his back turned with that symbol.
