Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

The anime he worked on is Turn A Gundam, it is represented by the letter turned A upside down. It seems to be a magazine that talks about all video games, most of it is dedicated towards E3 coverage. Thanks a lot!

vasili10 - Here’s the cover of the magazine with that drawing BTW -

Man I knew that! Too rusty on general anime knowledge I’ve become.:wasted::rofl: Fixed post above, thank you. Thanks also for the cover scan sano. Looks like it’s from the same publishers as Dreamcast Magazine (Dreamaga for short), but this issue’s called Game Magazine (Gamaga for short). Does it have anything noteworthy for SFZ Fighters’ Generation? Noticed it features that on the cover.

One other note: “Nintendo” with it’s triple-kanji combo can mean “Heaven’s Mission”. Long ago I posted it saying it meant something else, but this is probably more correct.

This issue didn’t have much on SF Fighters Generation but since you told me that Akiman contributes monthly, I went back to the Japanese book store and picked up last months issue that was still on the racks, so that issue had some more SF FG stuff. I’ll be getting it every month now for the Akiman drawing, thanks again! Scans coming up very soon!

Gamaga’s coverage of Street Fighter Zero Fighter’s Generation in the current issue.

Cover of last month’s issue. The girl on the cover is from some game called Rio De Channel, I think.

Last month’s coverage of Street Fighter Zero Fighter’s Generation.

Also in the same issue, Capcom vs. Gamaga! Looks like Capcom had a friendly SFZFG battle with the magazine.

And Akiman’s drawing last month, King of Fighters 94! Both Athenas are pictured.

Sure thing. I get it now; the first issue you got is the premier with the mag’s new name: Gamaga, and its cover I checked again says it’s a new periodical with changed names. The previous one’s cover says Dreamaga on it. Thanks for the scans.

The girl’s name on Dreamaga’s cover is De la Rio.

No problem and thanks on the magazine title/cover clear up! :woot:

Hey sano, can you (someday) scan one or two pics of the other HNK/SF clones (Gouda, Colonel, more?)?

Okay next month around the July 4th holiday I’ll do more when I do all of the T.Hawk stuff.

Awesome! What’s that? http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/89973153

Best I can make out, it’s an action figure carry case.

Thanks vasili10, I wonder what the “hi-lite” is. Actual cigarettes? Is that what you get with a toy in Japan? Maybe it’s a cigarette case.

You’re welcome. It’s a brand of cigarettes. I seriously doubt you get those with a toy there. I’ve seen packs in many auction pictures, and I may be completely off, but I think they’re pictured with items as size comparisons, like how your palm holds one pack, this item up for bid is that much bigger.

I got SFAA today and am having a blast with it! The strat guide is great, helped me uncover a bunch of secrets and stuff, like color edit mode in every game and the different versions of every game and so on. Only played through SFA and SFA2 Gold. Unlike the PS1 version (well at least the setting I put the game on ) you can get the true ending and the credit Roll on any setting, doesn’t have to be the highest difficulty. And in SFA2 Gold in Ken’s stage, Strider does throw his teddy bear in the air when you do a Super, like he did in the arcade (he didn’t do it on the PS1 version).

Cammy’s story in SFA2 Gold - I didn’t record it yet, not too much time to mess with that, I’ll try that Saturday unless someone beats me to it on the net. The non spoiler thing I can say is that when she fights Vega(cape) he is wearing a black costume and not the red one. This is because one of Cammy’s moves is that she has Vega attack you with a Psycho Crusher while he salutes, and that one is red. This is all with default colors, this might be different using non default colors, her Vega and the Vega you face might have different colors in those scenarios too. So yeah, this is a gist of it for now until I record her story/ending unless someone beats me to it. I also have to check if she has mid boss dialog.

SPOILER - HIGHLIGHT TO READ -----------

Cammy seems to awaken from being brainwashed. Vega(cape) realizes he needs to beat her down. They fight. The ending (they just show Cammy’s artwork and text is on the screen as it scrolls up) reveals that Vega won the fight and that he placed a Psycho Limiter inside her body that dampens her powers. He re-brainwashes her, removes her Psycho Limiter and says that without it she’s at full strength and has the power to destroy an entire country. Whoa…

…wow, Capcom guys sure have been going all-out lately when it comes to making new character storylines for old Alpha games. It’s as if they took the guys originally responsible for the already far-out storyline of SFA3 and hyped them up on satsu no psycho power crack to make things even more extreme.

Well, I guess it at least ends with her still being brainwashed or something.

Thanks, Sano!

I still have to see if she has a mid boss dialog like everyone else in SFA2 by getting 6 straight supers. Hopefully I’ll be able to tape it so we can have an actual transcript of that and the ending, just gotta remember how to hook up my VCR the right way. Prolly Saturday I’ll mess with that.

Supposedly she does. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s anything important there between her and Rose.

She does have mid-boss dialogue with Rose when I played through with her. Wasn’t anything special though. The only line of dialogue I sorta remember is that she was gonna give Cammy an eternal slumber (meaning that she was gonna kill her). She also says she’s looking for Bison(Vega) blah blah blah. Nothing mindblowing but I guess it was nice of Capcom to add it in, and a MIRACLE that COA translated it.

Aw drat. We finally get a Cammy Rose dialogue and it looks like it’s just pointless filler. Course, most SFA2 boss dialogue in general is notoriously short so I suppose it isn’t that surprising.

Does Vega/Bison actually remove the Psycho Limiter after regaining control or does he leave it in there? Seems even more nutso for Cammy to be waltzing around at unlimited strength after SFA2, although Capcom setting up Cammy having the ability to waltz around at unlimited strength in a future SF story (that IMHO will never be made :P) doesn’t seem out of the picture.

He removes it of what I can tell. The Psycho Limiter was keeping her powers in check. I wonder if she’s like one of those Androids from Dragon Ball and she has a bomb inside here and at the push of a button she can self destruct and blow up an entire country lol!
