Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

To be fair he does spark conversation when he posts.

Had to pay more than $300 for all the Japanese Capcom books. Broke as fuck. Who needs food anyway.

Yeah I paid about 700 in total for the SF stuff from the San Diego comic con plus getting all of Stick Click’s Arcadia issues, I’m pretty much living from check to check until my Christmas Bonus comes around. And here come the new SF toys sigh…

Hai, you rang?

I wonder why they used Ryu’s SFIII look in his MSH VS SF ending eventhough he has the zero/alpha look in the game.

I think that ending is supposed to take place years after MSH vs. SF, he is just reminiscing on the past. I think there’s another ending with him having a white headband where he walks away on the Blue Area of the Moon. Now… in Marvel you can breath on the Blue Area of the Moon but where the Hell is he going to go? Maybe he went to the Watcher’s crib and the Watcher beamed him back to Earth LOL! MSH vs. SF has the goofiest endings of the entire Marvel Vs. Series.

Thanks, that makes sence.

oh, nothing. It’s just that things were getting too quiet around here.

TAS is a douchebag. The guy acts like he knows everything, but if it wasn’t for the plot guide he wouldn’t know shit! He takes everything written in the plot guide as gospel(including the stuff Tiamat distinctly labeled as conjecture or his personal opinion) and forces it on everyone. That’s why everyone hates his ass. Plus I’m still not convinced that he actually met with Capcom. I realize that he has nothing to gain from lying, but the idea that Capcom would let some random fan boy asshole into their offices so he could show them his crappy drawings and stupid ideas for future SF’s is just ridonkulus.

I know, big batch of stuff coming, working on it, keep checking, should be up later this week.

I don’t care for TAS’ (or anyone else’s) flaming and pushing, but there are still some things he says that I’d like to research more before throwing them out. Hopefully what sano’s salvaged from the old SRK Storyline thread will answer some matters, and if TAS can just stay with me a little longer I’ll be finished with questioning him, for now anyway. It’s about her, so I have to keep poking and prodding until I’ve been satisfied.

Hey, Tiamat can always use these quiet periods to catch up right?:bgrin:

My whole thing with Tas is when you say something that is not an opinion you should try to back it up (especially with some of the stuff he says) with a link, a scan, a news article no matter what language it is in, point to a book it is in, something or at least be able to if questioned. I know word of mouth statements are hard to prove but at the very least you can try to describe the conversation word for word to the best of your recollection. That’s what everyone on the Net tries to do(well, people who are telling the truth and want to be believed anyway) because at the end of the day you should know that a bunch of people who have never met you in person have no reason to believe anything you say. And if he can’t prove anything he says well… then he just may in fact be lying. Of one thing he said I do think he is lying when he says that Capcom told him that Guile won SF2. They have never told ANYBODY who won SF2, that is Plot Guide conjecture most of us agree on, but it is CONJECTURE. Shoot, you can blow that statement apart just by grabing SF Eternal and quoting Kinu Nishimura -

“Every character in Street Fighter II could be a player’s favorite one and in turn there are no real main characters in the game. When drawing them you have to make sure that you put the same amount of feeling and effort into each character. There are a number of paths and styles that the characters take, I think. So while the illustrations are all basically the same, the players get to decide who the main character of the story is for them. With that in mind, we must instill in the illustrations the sense that every character is the most important one. If I can do that successfully, then I’m happy with my work.”

Which is pretty much what we know already anyway, they never said who won SF2. Why in Hades would they tell Tas over a Capcom Artist or anyone else on the planet for christs sake? At the very least that would be a five minute conversation or Hell even a one minute conversation instead of them telling him “Guile won Tas” so much so that he should be able to do better than respond to people questioning this then saying “Guile won because Capcom told me he won. Prove that they didn’t Fucktard!”

His know-it-all approach and his quick temper doesn’t help things. Some of his opinions on how games should be made and the future of SF are… iffy… but I can’t fault anyone for an opinion, but even opinions he states in a know-it-all type of way, doesn’t help much either.

TAS states all his opinions as FACT. And when you tell him this he doens’t reply. (Look in the SF4 fan art thread).

Sorry to barge in on the thread guys, I lurk in here and read everything, I would post, but Ive got nothing useful.

Tas is a funny dude. On his first post in the SF4 art thread he stated how after 6 pages he wonders why there isn’t more art. Now thanks to his endless off topic yapping there’s even less art on the thread than before. Okay, maybe before some of us ran at the mouth on that thread but it was all drawing/art based in some way at least, most of us had art to talk about or something like that, yeesh, that’s probably the most text the fan art forum has seen ever when there’s like 3 other SF4 threads going on at SRK right now.

According to Fuchikoma of Madman’s Cafe Famitsu Magazine just confirmed that Ingrid will be in SFA3 Upper for the PSP. Now that’s just bizarre, if they are going to throw in a character like this that doesn’t belong (Ingrid seems a much better fit for a DS game with her ‘Goddess anotations’) they might as well bite the bullet and toss in CVS2 Kyosuke too. Strangely this news makes me more excited to play SFA3 on the PSP, hmmm.

I’m just like everyone else, waiting on the weekend to find out what Capcom’s new arcade game is. Hoping it’s SF4 but I’m not holding my breath.

EDIT: Magic-box confirms Ingrid in SFZ/A 3 “Double” Upper. Crazy title.

Gill is a god, too isn’t he? Well he doesn’t fit into SF either.

LOL, but Gill got his gifts through genetic experimentation, Ingrid got her gifts from ‘beyond.’

And now for the debunking of the number one rumor of the year, Capcom’s mystery game is not SF4 but War of the Grail. How the Hell did this rumor start? I can only imagine Kinu Nishimura’s involvemnent along with some of the “Vs.” people involved. Worst SF4 rumor EVER!

CvS2 Kyosuke would fit in a lot more than Ingrid in terms of storyline, at least, but if what Tas said about the RS series’ connection to street fighter is true, I dunno if the RS creator would want him there. (granted, need to take Tas with a grain of salt).

Wonder if they’ll add in dialogue and endings for Maki, Yun, and Eagle.

Ugh, I need to update the plotguide. But Ultima Online’s latest expansion just came out with a ton of new crap. In light of that, it’s hard for me to muster up motivation to work on the guide when I know that the Street Fighter plot likely isn’t going anywhere anyways so I can always catch up eventually. ^^; That and the way Alpha Generations completely wasted the license pisses me off. A LOT (since Capcom doesn’t seem even bothered to care about the storyline to allow such a travesty of a shitty piece of crap waste of the license to waste the license in such a dumb retarded blah blah blah). …blarg, I’ll get to it um… eventually-ish.

Looking forward to the next Plotguide update! Maybe one day Capcom will use the Plotguide because they lost all of their original scripts, who knows.

Posted on HerV, and I’ll post it here too: Unique options aside, why wouldn’t Ingrid fit in SFA3? I saw this on MMCafe as well, and I questioned why it was said there as well. Something about Ingrid being a “magical” fighter and saying she won’t fit. Whafuck.

Because SF4 just doesn’t have any Gods, Goddesses, or things of that nature. In SF people either gain strength through genetic experimentation or training, not divinity. That’s KOF with Orochi descendants and things of that nature, not SF. I suppose you can make a case for Rose/Vega since we don’t know where Psycho Power comes from, but eh. I like Ingrid so this doesn’t bug me that much, it’s just odd is all. Most of the “Magical Fighter” stuff was from Iggy, I was of the more “No Gods” type.
