A couple of these I would argue. I’d assume Dee Jay being slightly higher due to SF2 characters usually being more accomplished. IF Dee Jay did actaully fight Adon then that would add evidence but as we know, Capcom ignores Dee Jay. I thought Yun was more skilled than Yang and regardless, Gill seeing “potential” would presumably amount to something. Also, I don’t think all the SF3 girls are on the same level or to be more blunt, I’d assume Ibuki is stronger than the other two.
Deejay hasn’t accomplished much if anything. He also hasn’t beaten or even encountered anyone of note. His mid boss fight with Adon most likely doesn’t even take place.
So no on him going any higher.

I never agreed with Twelve being placed higher than Necro. Twelve has no purpose in SF other than to fight Necro. The fight had to of taken place and Necro is still on the run so he had to of won. I like Twelve a lot more than Necro but too bad, it looks like Necro beat Twelve. There is no hard evidence to suggest Twelve can beat Necro and just because Twelve is “cooler and can do this and that” is not a reason that in a fight he can beat up Necro. The Plot Guide suggests that both of their endings can happen without the two fighting but since Twelve once again has no other purpose in Third Strike other than fighting Necro I refuse to believe he never fought anybody and just ran around from country to country. Sure, you can get away with thoughts like Sagat never fought anybody in SF2 and just dropped, why? Because he’s fought in SF1, SFZ2 and SFZ3. I’m not hearing Twelve has never fought anybody period. I think Twelve and Necro should be placed in the same Tier making it an even fight where either can come out victorious. Both at Tier 6. Just because Twelve can do ‘this and that’ shouldn’t rank him as high as some of you are ranking him I feel when you have no indication of what he can do in a fight and the only fight conclusion that he may of had tha you can draw from involves a scenario where Necro most likely won.
But I take the Tier List as being subjective anyways. And at least the Plot Guide says “hinted” for Twelve in the Tier ratings besides.
Twelve does become self aware in 3s so it’s entirely possible he let Necro win.
Twelve was designed to be a stronger version of Necro. Necro was the prototype for Twelve, so I think it makes sense that Twelve is placed higher. Obviously, the final product would be better than the prototype.
The Lab Head in Twelve’s ending says, “Every cell of his has been restored to its state before the battle”. The ‘battle’ he’s referring to is probably Twelve’s fight with Necro. Don’t forget that Twelve returns to a capsule at a research institute for repairs AFTER COMPLETING EACH MISSION (which is what takes place in Twelve’s ending). I’m not saying that Twelve defeated Necro or that Necro defeated Twelve but my point is that the battle had to have taken place and that both their ending’s suggest that one of them beat the other.
It’s possible that they pulled a Juli/Cammy interaction where it starts out with “I’m gonna kill you, fool!” and ends with being convinced otherwise.

The Juli Cammy convincing thing is technically conjecture on my part, but considering that it’s official that the Dolls turned against Bison, I can’t see any other way except for it to have happened that way if the actual endings and such are to be even remotely similar to what happened in the games as well as what on earth could explain Cammy there to save Juli in Juli’s ending when you supposedly kicked her butt gameplay-wise before the final battle with Bison. :xeye:
Of course, unlike Cammy and Juli, neither Twelve nor Necro’s endings have them reconciling with each other, but hey, if Juli and Cammy’s initial reconciling (before the fight against M. Bison) happened ‘off-camera’ (assuming it DID happen since again, it’s conjecture pieced together), then Twelve’s could have as well, albeit with much less (if any) evidence to indicate so.

But the feelings of the two people were set just like that. The following day, that town’s residents always woke up to the same voice. A speaker connected to a receiver from a Honda made telephone, it is a streaming out international telephone to scold students.
That henceforth, for that town’s people there were students believing in Honda’s renewed recognition…called thus the yet to be opened story.

I’m probably reading too much into this, but Necro and Twelve would appear to be two different experiments, almost. Necro was the attempt to manipulate the body of a human boy, and Twelve, I guess, is a completely artificial being (though I’d assume there’s some human DNA in there somewhere). They both seem to have abilities that the others lack, so it’s not as simple as one having a sure win over the other.
But, again, let’s not put too much thought into it…Twelve is just a rival character for Necro that Capcom made, after all.
If Twelve won then in that ending than Necro would of been in a capsule next to him or there would be more of a clear cut indication that he won I feel. But good point about battles, no idea who he would of fought in battles other than 1-11 for practise or something.
And just because Twelve was designed to be stronger than Necro doesn’t prove to me he won. I’m sure K9999 was designed to be stronger than Kyo or even the earlier version K’ but that’s not the case. Twelve is an Android, Necro has electricity the number one robot weaakness, he could of just zapped him. Twelve has only been seen to X.C.O.P.Y. whoever is standing in front of him (happens in Urien’s CFJ ending too), he could of easily turned into Necro and Necro could of beaten himself(and for those of you who think Twelve is that much stronger than Necro, this might of been his downfall copying the weaker guy). Why is it really so hard to believe that Necro can win this fight? My reasoning is just put them in the same tier since we have no real proof/evidence of the outcome either way, but I still lean more towards Necro being the winner since he’s supposedly still on the run along with Effie. At the very least Twelve should be in the same Tier as Necro and the Twelve Dolls just for the fact he’s a Doll rip off, or maybe, just maybe he can be placed in Tier 5, I really don’t agree with him being as high up as Tier 4 even on a hinted status, but it’s a subjective deal and not a big deal anyways.
And Tiamatroar, pretty please put Remy on the Storyline Tier list in your next update in Tier 8 or something.

Yes but that’s only his storyline. He was not invented only to beat Necro. He’s a better version of Necro and they wouldn’t mass produce him just to beat that one Necro. If he’s better than Necro, he should be higher in the tier I think. This doesn’t mean that he won against Necro. He could still be less intelligent or just had a bad day.
I also want to add that we can only speak of a “he” instead of “they” because of his number and his ending where he has eyes and this is different from all the other clones.
I just thought about this (maybe you already said that), what if Necro told Twelve something like Gill only uses him or sth like that and that’s why he developed consciousness and has the red eyes?
What I’m saying is just because Twelve was made to be better than Necro doesn’t mean that he is. It’s like the story of a bunch of sci fi movies, “Oh, model X is better than model z” but if model z is the hero in the scenario model x looses (watch Terminator 2 and 3) and I still don’t see anything that really suggests Twelve is that much stonger than Necro other than that being stated by a scientist who is trying to keep his job. 
But in all seriousness, an actual fight between the two is the real thing that decides who is better. Why is Twelve considered the stronger one, because he feels no pain? Someone with extensive nerve damage who let’s say is confined to a wheelchair might not feel getting hit by a bus but he is still going to die. He might not feel any pain when Necro attacks him but if he damages enough organs or systems or what have you Twelve is going down. You basically have two rubber people fighting each other, both have abilities the other doesn’t have, one is sentient and the other one isn’t, either one can come out on top. And like I said, I like Twelve a lot more than Necro but who I like more has nothing to do with anything.
EDIT: Um… ah… errr… a bit reluctant to post this since it seems like it’s the most rumory of rumory things but I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t. A rumor’s floating around that SF4 will be shown at the Jamma show in Japan next month and it will be developed on… Atomiswave…??? Anyway, don’t shoot the messenger, at least we’ll know in one month if this is real or not unlike waiting for 2007/2008…

SF4 at JAMMA? I’ll believe it when I see it. And if it indeed is on Atomiswave, and uses 5 buttons… Christ, they might as well not have bothered. No SF is better than a non-playable one.
I got the two hardcover editions of the SF Eternal Challenge books today, the Shinkiro and Ikeno covers. I’ll look through them today to see if there are any differences since it’s supposed to have corrections, but I suspect the corrections are only gramar and error type stuff, not storyline, but I’ll check.
And oh yeah, I got the SDCC Shin Gouki(Akuma) Bust and just as I hoped unless I’m mistaken but I’ll triple check, he has the same Kanji on his back from CVS2 and CFJ, YES! Orochi Powered Gouki in the hizouse lol!
Shin Gouki came with a broken built, waaah, need to get me some crazy glue.
Oh and it’s not the CVS2/CFJ Shin Gouki variant, it’s the Shin Gouki from the SF games, Oh well maybe they’ll toss out that version one day. Bust looks nice, can’t complain, except for the broken belt thingy.
Right off the bat the two Hardcover additions of SF Eternal Challenge are the same except for the removal book jacket, one with a Shnkiro cover, one with Ikeno cover, and each respective book jacket on the inside has a mini bio for the respective artists. For Shinkiro (there’s some weirdo drawing representing Shinkiro) it says -

Check about the 50th post I made on the below link for more of the SF4 messy. Long story short, SF4 might be 258, it might not be anything, but I guess there’s a tad more evidence that Sammy vs. Capcom is truly dead since all we’ve gotten from Sammy is “A crossover’s been canceled” as Editor said Sam/Cap was scraped for a bigger project. But that’s not exactly an official announcement on that.
