Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Yeah, I got the first trailer without the lyrics playing on my PSP.

For the new trailer, you know I jumped up and down during the Ryu and Chun-Li Anime part.

Strange. ā€˜Lives of SF’ has just added Gen to both Yun and Yangs ā€˜related people’ section(which includes Lee, ā€˜Grandfather’, ā€˜Old Man’, Hoimei, Shaomei, etc). Below is the text written next Gen’s name. vasili10, could you please translate the 2 bios for me when you get the chance? Thanks.

Btw, this one website I visit made the distinction among the job positions Chun-Li held during each game. She’s a narcotics investigator during the SF2 series, an Interpol officer during SFZ 1&2, and an anti- Shadaloo special criminal investigator during SFZ3(she was promoted to that position in her SFZ1 ending). So what, does this mean she wasn’t working for Interpol during SF2?

According to gameiroiro.com, the ā€œNAMCO X CAPCOM Special Sound Trackā€ CD included with first pressings of the game will be 15 tracks – 7 from CAPCOM, 7 from NAMCO, and the short version of the opening theme:

NAMCO X CAPCOM: Subarashiki Shinsekai (Short Version)
Vampire Hunter: Morrigan Stage (Scotland)
Strider Hiryuu: Boueiken (1st Demo) ~ Fumi-kome! (1st BGM1)
Street Fighter II: Stage China Chun-Li
Street Fighter ZERO 3: Brave or grave (Theme of Vega Type.2)
Dai Makaimura: 1st BGM
Dino Crisis 2: Regina’s Challenge
Shiritsu Justice Gakuen: Ore-tachi no gakkou wa ore-tachi ga mamoru!
Dig-Dug II: DIGDUG II
Ishtar no Fukkatsu: Main Theme
Walkyrie no Densetsu: Main Theme
Genpei Toumaden: Genpei Toumaden’s Theme
Youkai Douchuuki: Main Theme
Chouzetsurinjin Berabouman: Berabouman
Wonder Momo: Post-transformation BGM

I’m still looking for release info on a full soundtrack CD and an opening theme CD-Single.

Vasili10 - I sent you Rose’s quotes and an enlarged pic of the SF2 Animated Movie Doc through Hot Mail, but Hotmail seemed like it reduced the quality of the images, so I sent them again using an Earthlink account. Let me know if you can see them okay, which works better, etc.

The last of the three emails you sent was the best. Thanks!

Sure Golden Dragon. Watch for them in the next few days.

I haven’t gotten to her SF2 Dash account yet, but all I’ve come across so far seem to point that the Narcotics Division is a special unit within Interpol. Chun Li seems to become a more specialized agent within Interpol as time goes on; it’s how I see it for now anyway.

Here’s the Namco characters of NXC brief seiyuu lists. Feel free to add or correct.

Arisu Reiji: KAZUHIKO INOUE - Mikado Senzenin in Ranma 1/2, Tsubame Ozuno in Urusei Yatsura, Hatake Kakashi in Naruto, Takimi Shigure in the Rurouni Kenshin Movie.

Xiaomu: OMI MINAMI - Ruri Hoshino in Martian Successor Nadesico, Miko Mido in La Blue Girl.

Kos-Mos: MARIKO SUZUKI - Kos-Mos’ voice in the Xenosaga games and Animes. Not too surprising since the Anime uses the Anime cut scenes from the game too I hear.

Mitsirugi and Street Fighter’s Ryu: TOSHIYUKE MORIKAWA - I did him last time when I did Ryu’s seiyuu before, but once again - Griffith in Berserk, Kurosaki Isshin in Bleach, D-Boy in Tekkaman Blade, Kesskas in Trigun, Junouchi (Joey Wheeler) in Yu-Gi-Oh.

Stan, Tales of Destiny: YUKI IMAI - Chijiro Fujimi in the Ah My Goddess Movie, Rei Tachibana in Card Captor Sakura, Jinto in Crest of the Stars, Kalia in El Hazzard, Misaki Matsuya in Excel Saga, Yu Hayakawa in Final Fantasy Unlimited, Arisa Uetani in Fruits Basket, Wakaba Shinohara in Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Jin Kazama: ISSHIN CHIBA - He’s been Jin’s voice since Tekken 3 and up, AKA he’s the only one to ever voice Jin. He’s also the only one to voice Rival School’s Kagami Kyosuke in RS1, RS2, and CVS2. Sean in SF3. Dean in Brain Powered, bit rolls in Cowboy Bebop, Robber C in the Cowboy Bebop Movie. Jima in Chobits. Deesh in Crest of the Stars, Kiyoharu Gowa in Gasaraki, Ahmad in Gundam Wing Endless Waltz OVA, Mesena in Macross II, Ryuji Kitayama in R.O.D. the TV.

Valkyrie: KIKUKO INOUE - Belldandy in Ah My Goddess, Ieran Li in the first Card Captor Sakura Movie, Chitose Hibiya in Chobits, Rune Venus in El Hazzard, Fabula in Final Fantasy Unlimited, Kasumi Tendo in Ranma 1/2.

Berabou-man: TETSU INADA - Rayton in the Appleseed Movie. Mukotsu in Inu Yasha. Plinpin and Mr. 1 in One Piece. Harry Ord in Turn A Gundam. Helmer in the Xenosaga Anime.

Wonder Momo: AYAKO KAWASUMI - Morgan Le Fay in the Ah My Goddess Movie. Tomoko Nomura in GTO. Mayuko Chigasaki in NieA Under 7. Melfina in Outlaw Star(this was her first role). Fuu in Samurai Champloo.

I’ll start working on the Capcom characters whenever I have free time.

EDIT: Thanks to Snkneoshingo2K4 for the correction!

Toshiyuki Morikawa is also the voice of Naraku the main villain from Inuyasha.

Thanks Sano.I just like to note who is the Namco character called Gilgamesh?I ask cause his seiyuu,Akira Ishida, does the voice for Sabaku no Gaara(Gaara of the Desert)in Naruto.
For Sagatryu,Toshiyuki Morikawa also does the voice for the evil Kaguya Kimimaro in Naruto. Thanks for telling me that he voices the villain in that honestly cool manga/anime.
And a slight correction for you Sano, the name of the Naruto character who is voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue is Hatake Kakashi.Keep up the great work compadre.Peace out.
PS Even hentai is in the resume for the seiyuus of NamcoXCapcom.Nice.

OK I’ll fix/Edit the mistake. Thnx!

I’m having a storyline debate with some of my friends so i wanted to get some other opinions. Do you guys think that Gen was stronger, equal, or weaker than Sagat during the first Street Fighter tourney. Thnaks

You go against us and you DIE!!!..Simple as that

I think he was the strongest person at the SF1 Tourney and perhaps his illness was the reason he backed out. He could survive the Shun Goku Satsu after all.

While the US SF comic is not official, it leads me to believe Retsu was a scrub, beaten by baby SNH Ryu and all, LOL! He’s the first guy you fight in the game anyway if memory serves, that’s usually the weakest guy. Retsu can beat up Dan as shown by Bengus’ artwork, but probably everyone can beat Dan except for maybe Sean.

Just my opinion and all.

Why was Sean even weaker than Dan again?

Well technically anyone could survive Shun Goku Satsu as long as you now how to clear your mind and empty your soul. I don’t think it has any bearing on your power. I alos think that Gen is a lil overated on this thread as to what his power level is. But that’s just me. If anyone would like to have an intelligent convo about it (minus flames) I’ll be more than happy to join in. Holla!

It’s mostly because Sean has always been shown to be a scrub even in the guy’s own endings. At least Dan got his victory over Sagat even if it was fake. And there’s his ending where he opens up his school. Sean gets knocked out by Ryu, and then beat up in his ending and again in Ken’s SF3TS Ending, and you have Ken blowing off the looser yet again in MVC1, not much hope for the guy.

Not just anyone could survive the Shun Goku Satsu. It takes a very skillful martial artist to do so and not to mention, figure out you have to do it on the fly without being told you have to do it when your body is transported to Hell and surrounded by demons of all things. The only other person in SF that has been shown he can do this is Gill who is a Boss character. And even Gill does fall victim to it, just ressurects himself, Gen’s back never touches the floor.

Then there’s the SFZ3 ending where Gen defeats Gouki. There is no ending where Gouki defeats Gen in that game. It’s very likely Gen defeated him and Capcom won’t say so people don’t start thinking Gouki is not God or something.

Ok but he defeats him in SFZ2, that doesn’t count? Also why would a fight count if it’s fake?

Even if it’s fake and Sagat let him win, it is a victory of sorts. Sean doesn’t have a victory of any sorts, or one good ending where he doesn’t look like a scrub, or anything. Dan even gets to win the unofficial CVS1 Tourney with Joe Higashi, but it looks like they did it in a Dragon Ball Z Mr. Satan way, all the real fighters were fighting Vega(Cape)/Geese… but Dan finally gets the ending where he looks really scrubby in CFJ…

This is really subjective since I doubt the two will ever fight. Well, in Sean’s defense he doesn’t have a Super Taunt.

sano:

I too think you’re giving Gen a little too much credit. Gen is strong, but I think it would probably be knowledge of how to avoid the SGS that saves him more than anything else (I forget: Does Gen know Goutetsu? I can’t see how Gen would figure out how to avoid the SGS on his own, especially since no one else apparently knows how to).

Concerning Gen defeating Gouki but not the other way around, that’s not proof of anything. We don’t even know if the fight took place. Balrog(Boxer) fights and beats Gen in his story but not the other way around. That doesn’t mean that Balrog is stronger than Gen. Sakura fights and beats Ryu in her story but not the other way around, and we know that Sakura ain’t stronger than Ryu, even befuddled Ryu. So the Gen-Gouki fight in SFA3 means nothing really.

Regardless, it’s probable that Gen was the strongest fighter in the SF1 tournament overall. It’s possible that his illness caused him to withdraw or lose to someone he shouldn’t have. But Sagat was probably the strongest who wasn’t affeced by any kind of debilitating disease, and Adon was right underneathe him.

I don’t remember anything about Gen meeting Goutetsu or knowing him, but I forget lots of stuff anyways.

I bought SFEX3, the endings are funny. Also got Cannon Spike, it gets boring quickly but there are well dawn ending graphics for every character (Cammy, Nash, Buletta, Mega Man,… even Fallen Balrog appears)
