The doll Aprile was kidnapped by Shadaloo 2 years before SFA3.
Her younger brother (Maggio) visited Rose’s mansion of mystery to ask her about the whereabouts of his sister. She searched/explored his heart and told him that his sister isn’t in Italy, but somewhere in the Southeast on the other side of the earth. She also told him that that his sister will return. Btw, Maggio is May in Italian. Get it? April and May! Wooooooo!!!
TAS - Other stuff I didn’t get to say yesterday. I did read your old post of the extended hidden character list of CFAS, but just wouldn’t bring it up during a debate because the extended hidden character list that only relies on spoken word of a canceled game, ah, it would bring me more headaches to bring it up so I’d rather just roll with all the “CFAS sucks!” comments!
And as for SF4, I’m just rather negative of the whole thing because after waiting for 5 years Capcom says wait another five years and maybe you’ll get something. I will get excited about SF4 when I see a screenshot of it and not before. If they can delay it for another 5 years, what’s to stop them from delaying it 10 years and saying, “This is for SF’s 25th Anniversary!”
And if they really want me to get excited about SF4, they seriously need to change the way they have made sequels (SF2 and SF3) and change these three things.

Returning very few characters. I’m sorry, if Ryu is the only returning character or they only bring back 4 people after ten or more years of waiting I will stab a Capcom Employee! OK not really… or maybe really!
-
Throwing the Storyline to the winds. If they do not resolve Gill’s Prophecy I will be beyond pissed.
-
Not ending the Ryu and Sagat rivalry. After Sagat saying in his SF2 Revival ending that the fight between him and Ryu will be worthy of the Gods, THEY FREAKING NEED TO SETTLE THIS!
Chances are, there will be very few character’s returning, SF3’s storyline will be thrown away (The prospect of bringing in another Animation Studio leads me to believe they will look at SF3’s storyline and do their own thing. Why, the Ninja Scroll Director doesn’t even want to connect the Series with the Movie saying you can take it as continuity only if you want to and it would seem that Jubei already knows Dakuan but why doesn’t he chop his head off the instant he sees him because he said in the Movie not to cross his path again and I get they want to make the show for people who didn’t watch the movie but all they had to do was put Kagero’s Headband on Jubei’s Sheath for Christ’s sake and this will end my Monday Ninja Scroll Movie/TV Show rant) and not settle the Ryu Sagat rivalry. I’d much rather look forward to CFJ, SF2AE, Online SF3TS and Sammy vs. Capcom and in the mean time, I’ll just foolishly continue imagining that Ryu and Chun-Li are married and have 15 kids! When SF4 finally comes out and Chun-Li enters Menopause age, all my insane hopes that will never happen will be shot to blazes…
Maggio! We finally have a name! Here’s hoping he shows up in the US SF Comic so we can get an idea of what he might of looked like.
Holy geez! I totally overlooked that the plot guide didn’t mention Aprile’s brother by name; for some reason I knew it before because I thought I read it elsewhere, and I totally spaced out the entry given for him in AAC. Sorry folks.
Yeah, I mentioned his name a few pages back (page 146 to be exact), but I guess some people missed it.
Makoto’s stage is called “The Dojo of Rindoukan,” right? Shotokan means “The House of Shoto,” so Rindoukan would be “The House of Rindou”. Shoto was the pen name of the guy who invented the style. That makes me think that maybe Rindou is in fact Makoto’s last name.

Makoto’s stage is called “The Dojo of Rindoukan,” right?
Rindoukan Dojo, but yeah I’m pretty sure.
Shotokan means “The House of Shoto,” so Rindoukan would be “The House of Rindou”.
Can’t say for sure. Is the kanji “Kan” in Shotokan the same as in Rindoukan? If so, “house” is actually more like “mansion” or “hall”.
Shoto was the pen name of the guy who invented the style. That makes me think that maybe Rindou is in fact Makoto’s last name. **
[/quote]
Maybe; it’s not uncommon for a fighting style to contain a family name, just that AAC never calls her Rindou Makoto. (last name comes first in Japanese)
Extra note: Rindoukan is written out in Japanese characters even in Makoto’s ending. “Rin” is the same kanji as dragon and “Dou” is the same kanji as courage or  gallbladder! So (at least in my opinion) a cooler translation for her dojo could have been “Hall of the Dragon’s Courage,” but it’s still “Rindou aka Gentian or Bellflower Hall.”
Isn’t Rindou the name of some Japanese flower or something like that? I had that one in mind, but your theory makes more sense. Yeah whenever I put an SF related website through a translate, the dojo name usually translates to Rindou Mansion, so maybe, you’re right.
You’re actually right also. This is a definite loophole in Japanese. Rindou according to two trusted sources translates to gentian or bellflower, two different plants and both found worldwide. What threw me off was that both of the kanji in Rindou have a unique reading when put together. It’s truly interesting and strange at the same time. (gotta check a Chinese dictionary now  )
Sano, in what mutant universe do you live in where the MvC2 beta “didn’t do well”? How could SpiderDan rack up 140 wins with Shuma Gorath (which is why he got so fucked over in the final version) if people weren’t playing the hell out of the beta?
re: TAS post
Hmmm… I can understand retroactiely replacing Mike with Balrog (most of us probably consider them to be the same character), but Joe with Cody? Wouldn’t that conflict with Final Fight, since story-wise we know that Guy was supposed to be in SF1, but got detrailed due to the events of FF1. It wouldn’t make sense if Guy couldn’t make it but Cody could. But on the other hand, Joe IS that fucking boring (never mind I have him in my SF Perfect Project)…oh well…
Note: Even if SF4 throws away SF3’s storyline, they call always pull an SF Beta and fill in the blanks later on. >:|
Yeah, replacing Joe w/ Cody in an SF remake is a bit of a stretch.
Sean’s 3rd Strike story:
Sean has become Ken’s pupil. He puts himself through rigorous training every day in order to show Ken his power. He decides to enter the US Martial Arts Tournament along with Ken. However, Ken is doubtful of Sean’s fighting ability and basically tells Sean that he’d just embarrass himself. Sean is shocked at Ken’s harsh words. Ken continues to say something to Sean about developing his own style. Sean decides to travel the world and train on his own.
Elena was born in the African Savanna. Her fellow tribesmen/women are born soldiers and fighting is part of their culture. That’s why she learned Capoeira.
It’s really old news that it Beta tested poorly, lots of people brung it up to defend CFAS Beta Testing poorly, I’m not the first nor am I the last, but to be specific it Beta tested poorly in Japan where the Marvel/Capcom Games are not well liked. SpiderDan’s California based so you’re statement prolly refers to the US Beta Test.
As for what Mutant Universe I live in, in said universe Ryu and Chun-Li have twenty kids!
Did we ever talk about the anime series Street Fight 2 V being seriously considered as the ‘official’ canon version of the SF Story?
Any more info on who Kinu is? Is it Kinu Nishimura? Any specifics of his roles in which non-SNK games?
Oh, and can anybody fill in some official character locations in the thread in Comics?
Okamato and Akiman are not the same. Unlike Bengus AKA CRMK, Akiman has given his full name when he did the Character Designs for Turn A Gundam. I know his first name is Akira. I’ll look for his last name later but trust me, he’s not Akira Nishitani of SF EX Fame.
Yes, that’s Kinu Nishimura. I described her credits some time ago on this Thread, I’ll look for that Post and quote it once again.
Akiman’s real name is Akira Yasuda.
Not that I recall. I’ve never heard of it being considered official canon and I don’t really think it ever was considered to be canon. I can tell you what I do know.
Originally the SF2V Anime was supposed to continue the events of the SF2 Movie but the Director of SF2V Gisabaru Sugii in an old Animerica issue said that this idea was scrapped when they decided to make the series of the characters when they were younger in order to flesh them out in what was supposed to be a long running series. Unfortunatly, due to it’s unpopularity in Japan, the show only lasted one season. Outside of Japan the series has sold well, and Manga Video even approached Capcom of Japan and backed the SF Zero Anime financially because it sold very well in the US. Manga Video did go a little overboard by Dubbing it as a Sequel to SF2V however…
Basically, SF Zero 1 and SF2V were being made at the same exact time, so much so that in the later episodes of SF2V in Japan, they started running commercials for SF Zero 1’s Arcade release. It looked to me like the SF2 Anime team was doing their thing with SF2V and Capcom was doing there own thing. I’ve always suspected but I’ve never heard anyone flat out say it that the decision to make SF2V 10 years before SF2 was a way to get more people to buy the younger SFZ, even if both are a bit different.
Capcom’s influenced by lots of stuff, so a few things from SF2V did work their way into SFZ3, like Ryu being brainwashed and there are Parallels in Nash’s death - his body is lost in a Shadowloo Base riddled with explosives. I’ve never heard Capcom of Japan flat out say this is where these ideas came from, and with SF2V’s unpopularity in Japan they are probably better off.
Here’s an Image that’s packaged with SF’s Fifteenth Anniversary Manga that I THIIIIIIIINK is from the SF2 Anime that never was.
Another Image.
Here’s an Article in Capcom Illustrations that I believe was supposed to be about the upcoming Animation for SF2 on TV that neve was. (Bottom Section.) Big up to Poster Aerialgroove since he provided the scan. Can anyone translate to confirm or deny?
