Sorry I misunderstood his post.

That’s alright. Hey, do you know anything about the “Official Street Fighter Zero 3 Fanbook” mentioned in the plot guide?
remy’s ending and story
**what the hell with remy ??? i dunno about him . why capcom made him **
From a gameplay standpoint, Remy was created for ‘Guile Style’ players.
I think Remy’s an interesting character in that he hates SFers and looks nothing like any of the SFers(course, that may be because he’s an Iori rip, but…) in that he actually looks like a cool guy you’d want to hang out with and hit a few clubs to score, kind of like many of the KOFers.
Compared to Guile and Nash, Remy’s my personal favorite, nothing against Guile and Nash of course. Plus, Remy has one of the best background songs ever called ‘The Beep.’ Anyway, I really like him, just wish Capcom would give us ANY info on who he actually fought against and did during Third Strike. My guess is Alex kicked his Ass since Alex is Remy’s Mid Boss.
TiamatRoar - That reminds me, last time I checked the Plot Guide, Remy’s name was absent from the extended unofficial SF Power Tier List. I think that since he has the ability to manipulate light, and that’s the power Gill was supposed to have until Capcom scraped that idea, Remy should be tiered all the way up there with… the rest of the SF3 teenage nobodies…
Man, there are enough teenagers in SF3 to make Rival Schools 3.
remy is like a Fantasy Character …
just look at the ending … what the hell ?? i was watching some combo vid , they had a quick flash about all ending , looking at the ending of remy’s , is he an immortal ??? or …WTF ??
like k’ he also hate kof …
i want to see 3s endings !!
I’m not exactly sure what you saw or how you interpreted it, but Remy’s ending is him complaining that his father never returned, and him setting his incased in ice diseased sister out to sea since there’s no cure for her. I’ll admit there is a “fantasy” element in seeing a woman icased in ice, but there is nothing to indicate Remy’s Immortal at all.
oh ok
Isn’t his ending a homage/parody to an anime?
I dunno. The only Anime it remotly reminds me of is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure when Dio’s body was lowered into the Sea. By rough comparison, in the Manga(and the Game) Dio’s body was exposed to the Dessert Sun and burned to Ashes.
Not that I know about every single Anime out there, especially fantasy stuff…
To anyone in the New York Area, Kinokuniya Bookstores is selling the Street Fighter Tibute Album for about 34 Bucks! Also on the upper floor, they have a copy of AAC and a copy of All About SNK if you don’t have them already.
I haven’t listened to the SF Tribute Album yet so I can’t critique it but plan to soon. The first thing I noticed in the book is that the lyrics to Ryu’s remixed SF2 Stage song are written in English! Or “Engrish”, to be precise… here are the lyrics straight from the book that comes from the Tribute Album! It may help us understand Ryu’s psyche more, or at least let us know how bad his English is… LOL! Words Vocal, Arangement and Remix were done by Takenbou Mitsoyushi. Here goes!
“Fist of Wavemation”
I want to know how tough it’s.
I want to know the place where my soul is burned out.
In order to draw two and the simple answer which is not
I continue following an endless way.
The hair waving in the scorching biting wind.
The body flickers slowly like a flame.
It’s prevention about feeling intense to quiet inside.
Nobody can stop the blow the wave motion emitted.
The days which shed each other blood mutually start again.
I want to know how tough it’s.
I want to know the place where my soul is burned out.
In order to draw two and the simple answer which is not
I continue following an endless way.
It has run through fighting to the extent that it cannot finish
counting.
Am I tough? Can I become how far tough?
The again same thought is only repeated.
The dream of the dragon which rises in the heaven is seen.
I want to know how tough it’s.
I want to know the place where my soul is burned out.
In order to draw two and the simple answer which is not
I continue following an endless way.

(Say, maybe the Engrish used in SVC isn’t that off, maybe this is how Ryu actually speaks English! LOL! LOL! LOL! Hey, no one loves Ryu more than me, but I just couldn’t resist!)
Here’s my critique of the SF Teibute Album -
RYU STAGE - “Fist of Wave Motion” - Takenobu Mitsuyoshi - Yeah, it may be Engrish, but hearing the singer yell those lyrics to Ryu’s SF2 Song sounds really cool!
KEN STAGE - Hiroaki Yoshida - Remix? This is Ken’s Stage played by electric guitar and nothing more.
CHUN-LI STAGE - Ayako Saso - This Kung Fu Movie style Techno Track made me get up and start dancing!
GUILE STAGE - Notoaki Furukawa - It sounds very melancholy and sad. You can feel Guile’s pain. Don’t worry man, you’ll avenge Nash!
DHALSIM STAGE - Yoko SHimamura - Sounds very much like India, with some lady humming to the lyrics in the background. I’ll pretend it’s Sally.
ZANGIEF STAGE - Manami Matsumae - SNORE! Sounds like 80’s Movie Music. SF2 IS FROM THE NINTIES MAN!!!
BLANKA STAGE - Yasunori Mitsuda - This one will have you bopping your head and banging on things and the drums will make you feel like your in the jungle. Pretend your Dan waiting to be saved by Jimmy!
E.HONDA STAGE - Koji Hayama - Can’t have a Sumo Song without someone grunting “Doskai!” in the background! Just when you think you got this song figured out, the music will change up on you a few times.
M.BISON STAGE - Yuzo Koshiro - Now this one is club worthy! Opens with a cheering crowd, a bell ring, and becomes straight up Techno! Doesn’t sound anything like M.Bison’s stage until the very end. The song ends with an Announcer saying, “Bison Wins!” When does that ever happen? Maybe he was fighting against Dhalsim’s Elephant during the song…
BALROG STAGE - Yasuhisa Watanabe - Maybe it’s 'cuz my parents used to torture me with Julio Iglesias Records when I was young, but I really like this track that sounds like it could be used for background Music in Desperado. Spain’s in Da House!
SAGAT STAGE - Takayuki Aihara - Hey is the Gong considered to be an actual instrument? You’ll think so after this snoozer.
VEGA STAGE - Shinji Hosoi - What the? Sounds like a cross between something played in a Garage with a Jazz beat. Shiji Hosoi, you do know that Vega is evil and not broke, right?
FINAL VERDICT - I liked seven out of the twelve songs, so I say it’s worth getting. I give it a 3 1/2 out of 5. Of course, if it would of included the other 5 SF2 characters I’d give it a 10 out of 5 easy just for them remembering Feilong.
They should’ve had Yasunori and Yuki Iwai do the whole album.
Random: Did we ever confirm Patricia’s age? I forget if her being twelve was a fan fact or a canon one…
All About Capcom states that she’s 14 in New Generation/Second Impact. Funny fact: the SF III New Generation US guide mistakenly says that Patricia is Alex’s daughter instead of Tom’s, and Alex’s ending calls her Pauline! Surprisingly, the book does get her age right, 14.
14? Wow, I never heard that number before. Cool beans. A totally all-new fact I never knew before. Still finding stuff to this day. Thanks a lot!
No prob. BTW, heard from Saiki lately? I know he’s recently updated his Samurai Spirits plot guide again. Also, did you know Dash no Chris’ email or contact info? I heard he might be able to help me with my infamous book question. Let me know when you can please. Thanks TiamatRoar.
offside point: In the majority of girls’ (mostly magical) anime series, the target age of the heroine is 14.
chanko nabe is some kind of " SUMO-STEW" i guess as snowstorm explains …
evidence : kinzan cooks sumo stews too
Since we were talking about Remy’s ending a while ago, here’s his ending and his Mid Boss Dialog with Alex.
Remy: Answer me… Why do you fight?
Alex: I don’t know… I started fighting long before I knew the reasons why.
Remy: That selfishness victimizes people, destroys love, and creates hatred! I’ll never forgive them! Those who call themselves “warriors…” just like my father, a man who deserted and betrayed his family!
Alex: So what? If you need to see a shrink, go somewhere else! But, if it’s pain you want, I have plenty to give to you!
Remy’s ending -
[Shirtless Remy dives into the sea]
Remy: Whenever I dive into this sea of Bisque, I feel so cold. It is as cold as my heart, which cannot be healed.
[Remy rises up in the cave where his sister is encased in ice]
Remy: (The tides are increasing in their speed and frequency…)
(This will be the last time I visit this place…)
[Remy caresses his sister’s encased ice shell, as if he was caressing/stroking her face]
Remy: I’ve been struggling in the darkness for a long time… I’ve been trying to paint the darkness with another shadow… After all… it was darkness of being a “warrior…” That caused our father to disappear, leaving my sister and me alone…
[Remy’s sister’s frozen body is cast into the sea and begins to sink]
Remy: I cannot forgive him yet. But… Nothing will change if I went on like this. So… I’ll forget everything. I believe that doing so could lead to our happiness.
[Bird’s eye view of his sister sinking into the sea]
Remy: Goodbye… My sister!
[Remy turns his back on the cave ready to leave, as the scene scrolls up to reveal light entering the cave]
Narrator: After saying goodbye, Remy sees a light on his way back. He never believed that he would be able to see such a light… To discover the meaning of the light, Remy begins to walk forth…
