Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Wow, thanks for the info, Golden D! I’ll add that to the next update, too (whew, this update I’ve clocked on 10+ hours of actual work time so far Oo)

Yea, I just got word from Roland Kie about Makoto’s brother. Ironic that her brother was going to be Ryu then her brother ended up being some guy who can’t fight :stuck_out_tongue:

No problem, guys…always happy to help. I’m gonna try to finish those 3rd Strike bios soon. I hoped to have finished them by now, but I’ve a been a lil’ busy and it’s hard to make sense out of all of them when when ur using online translators. I know a kid from school who can read Japanese so I’m gonna ask him if he could help me out a little. Peace out for now.

oh that’s good , you got the rare info PLUS a translator

Golden Dragon - Among other things I have to thank you for, before your Posts in recent Months I didn’t know that Twelve could talk that well! You’ve done such a great job of providing us with such great info that I almost hate to correct you, but I feel I have to. (Well, chances are I’m wrong as usual) As far as I know, Eiffie (Necro’s Girlfriend) is not a judge. Now, ignore my piss poor translations of their actual names in this early Post, since my point was not to give accurate translations of the Judge’s names since there’s no way in heck I could do that anyway. It was to prove to people that Effie, Cammy, Chun-Li, and Yun and Yang’s girlfriends are not judges. Now, if it’s just another girl named Effie that’s a judge, that’s something else entirely.

So, if we combine yours and Saiki’s list, we have all Seven Judges. No Eiffie.

By the by, here’s the page from AAC that confirms Poison’s a Man. You can see the Male Symbol next to Poison’s name.

Oh yea, it’s in the next update for the Plot Guide, but in case anyone wants to know it before then.

Someone from another message board recently went to work for Capcom of Japan on an undisclosed game. He asked and confirmed that Poison was and in fact still is a man (so I guess Final Fight Revenge making ‘her’ into a girl is ignored then). He was given the exact same story Saiki gave us (of how she was a girl in development but changed into a man because Capcom of America asked for it, then they changed ‘her’ AGAIN into Billy and Sid).

And he talked with the designer of the Dark Stalkers sprites. The guy got really uncomfortable then made up an excuse to leave the conversation when he was asked how he felt about Morrigan’s old sprite still being used after all these years

Yo sano, thanks for correcting me on that. I guess I missed that earlier post of yers. I wouldn’t want to put any wrong info in the plot guide, so thanx a bunch.

Tiamat
The fact that the darkstalkers designer got all nervous is hilarious. I thought I was the only one who was annoyed by her ugly old sprite in the CvS series. She sticks out like a sore thumb.

translation ??

yeah dude, I second that one. I know the point of posting that pic was to prove that she’s a dude, but a translation would be nice. U have any idea what that says, sano?

Hey Sieg, is there an e-mail account you have that can hold 650kb of space for me to mail the latest version of the plot guide to for you?

Whew, this one took a long time.

…I really should have wrote that translation of that stupid Poison thing down back when I had the chance :bluu:

No idea, but the Plot Guide has most of the info about Poison as far as I know. Maybe Saiki can translate?

All I remember is that it basically talks about what games Poison appears in, says that she’s a guy, then ends with “But for Final Fight Revenge, Poison appears to be a girl. Could she have gotten a sex-change?” or something like that.

Yea, you could try mikael.sundberg (at) gamereactor.se

Ah well, being my usual offensive self over at MMCAFE, I did manage to get this from iggy. (Oh, and he’s the one who provided the Link for that page in AAC so special thanks to him all the same.) Here’s a translated exerpt from that link at least.

“Unfortunately, AAC refers to her with an expression I can’t explain well in english, but it’s something like ‘she acts as a big sister (big brother?) to Hugo.’ Look in Poison’s defenition in SF3 Second Impact.”

I went back to the website where I found stage names and nicknames for ever SF character and noticed that they added a non-playable characters section. Among the characters, I found some info on Colonel Keith Wolfman and Arroio Hawk.

Arroio Hawk
According to this bio, there’s some additional info on what happened between him and Bison 30 years ago. It says that 30 years ago, his land/village/tribe (whatever u wanna call it) was attacked by Shadaloo. Only Arroio and 2 others survived. Afterwards, Bison murdered him while T. Hawk wasn’t around. I guess T. Hawk didn’t witness his father’s death.

Colonel Wolfman
The funny thing 'bout Wolfman’s bio is that it includes his physical stats. The only problem is that it’s probably unofficial. The website lists all the games each character has ever appeared in in their bios. He has appeared in the Super SF2, X-Men vs SF, and one SF2 drama CD. I’m guessing that his stats are from the DRAMA CD, but the CD’s aren’t canon, right? Blarg!! I dunno, maybe they aren’t from the CD. In any case, I’ll post his physical stats here incase Tiamat decides to put them in his FAQ. If you want a confirmation, I suggest u take it up with Saiki.

Keith Wolfman
Birthday: August 28
Height: 183cm
Weight: 79 kg
Blood Type: A

Hey, if there were two other survivors, does one of them include T. Hawk? That would make the last one Noembelu. …oh wait, she’s less than 30 years old. Hmm… okay, that would probably mean it doesn’t include T. Hawk and whoever those two survivors were were Noembelu’s parents? Was it T. Hawk’s ENTIRE tribe that got slaughtered or just a village of the tribe or something? It was probably the entire tribe, given how T. Hawk’s land is portrayed as a barren wasteland hinting that he’s the only one left. Which means that his prologue in SFA3 is wrongly translated by Capcom of America. I always wondered why it claimed “many” people dissappeared from T. Hawk’s “village” when there was only one person that dissappeared (Noembelu)

I vaguely recall a Wolfman bio being brought up before then finally confirmed to be from a drama CD and not canon, but that’s not exactly the type of thing I hardcode into my memory. Ah, but it’s probably from the Drama CD, since if Capcom really did make canon official bios for supporting Street Fighter characters, we’d see many other bios for other supporting Street Fighter characters than just Wolfman’s (sorta like how in Slammasters, they did not just stop at Jessica’s bio and made a bio for the ref and the monkey, too).

Thanks again, GD!

Actually, his prologue in the Japanese version is exactly the same as the American version. Btw, M. Bison murdered Arroio Hawk 30 years before SFA3, right??

Hmm… oops. I wonder what that’s about, then. Now I’m wondering where this website heard all that about T. Hawk’s village, anyways.

Yea, 30 years before SFA3 was when he murdered him. 30 years ago was also around the time M. Bison started Shadaloo in the first place. And T. Hawk was 1 year old during that time. Yet T. Hawk says he learned M. Bison’s name from his father.

…Capcom REALLY is cramming a lot into a small timeframe there.

Lemme think. I translated it w/ both Alta Vista and tan. Perhaps I messed up a little when I was tryin’ to make sense outta’ the translations. when I put it through tan’s translator, it literally translates to:

“30 years ago, the shadow roux (shadaloo) attack was suited and only a fork (hawk) and two persons survived.”

When I put it through Alta Vista, it literally translates to:

“Plain gauze dollar (shadaloo) - it met to attack 30 years ago, just the hawk and 2 people survived.”

I guess I was wrong in assuming that it was his village/land/tribe was attacked. I leaned more towards tan’s translation on this one. Alta Vista usually uses the word “it” in place of he/she, so maybe it means Shadaloo attacked Arroio personally, or his immediate family, 30 years ago. My bad.
