yeah that doesn’t make any sense. furthermore that would be a failure of the software, not of the controller.
who cares about 3p/3k macros? Can’t believe your still talking about that.
Turbo on the other hand should be banned from all tournaments and I would say going forward, it should be common practice to note this rule in the tourney rules.
I suck because of a program error? Gargle my balls.
Try it out then.
EDIT: I may exaggerated the percentage out of sheer disgust for it happening at all but it happens more than it should, which should be 0%.
I first noticed something was wrong when attempting to put Spinner Ball(Bob) in combos using my usual pad on knee method. Noticed sometimes it didn’t come out so I thought it was just me. Turns out my boy who plays Julia has the same problem. And he really uses the top buttons a lot.
I really dont understand using a 3P or 3K button mapping on a stick, thats just retarded. Why would you do that? The 3 buttons are right there in your fucking face. Sure it reduces the chances of error using those 2 extra buttons, but using 8 buttons is a pain in the ass. On a pad, its very forgivable, it might be even necessary. On stick, its laughable.
Turbo on the other hand should be hard banned.
I Would agree with Alex %100 but if they are going to allow Fantaiq 1 button dash in Marvel then they should allow this IMO. Nothing taken from Fantaiq and everything but would he be as good in Marvel if it wasn’t for his 1 button dash. They say its allowed b/c he loses an assist but to make magneto move at will and never mess up a dash…man give me that anyday. But anyway like I said b4, if Evo can allow Fantaiq 1 button dash in Marvel then they should allow this. What if Tekken had a 1 button wave dash, or Sagat 1 button Kara fireball/uppercut. I mean cum on guys be for real. I simply look at it like this, if you can’t do it in the acarde then you can’t do it…Point blank.
i think you just don’t have a full comprehention of how the buffering system in the game works
VF has buffering. Tekken just fucks shit up on purpose.
Ban that Turbo shit, thats all. Turbo pads in tourney = fail.
do any major tournaments not let you map your buttons before you start? ive got a hori fight stick 3 and the button layout is fucking retarded unless you remap it. if i knew a thing about modding sticks i would change it but i would probably break it.
^^ they let you remap
ty kind sir, oh and to get back on topic i think its necesary on a pad to map 3k 3p especially with the 360 pad, the buttons are just fucking laid out funny.
on a stick no fucking reason to do so.
im sorry the number one player for sf4 pc advocates the use of turbo. http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=212065 offline tournamnets cant ever hope to compare with the online scene because offline tounrmanets are basicaly just the same people in an area playing each other over and overa gain but online players have tested themsevles against evreyone across the entire world… also its harder to play with lag so really you can say he has MORE skill than offline players
Your posts read like my Chinese students using google for Chinese to English translation.
For fucks sake, I said this on the first page already:
The arcade stick market does not, I repeat, DOES NOT focus solely around fighting game players. Believe it or not, there are players of other genres who prefer sticks as well.
allow turbo so people can cry about getting raped by gen “footsies”
In our Tech Talk subforum, there is a group-effort project going on right now to design a custom circuit board for arcade sticks that would allow for an improved turbo function that gives even more presses per second. The proposed name for this upgrade is “Super Turbo.”

How do you guys feel about using turbo on the All you can Quaff game on Castle Crashers.
Also what page is it explained as to how Valle managed to make it 10 months without knowin about turbo buttons.
No. Online is a completely different game from offline. Footsies go right out the window and you need to predict correctly to counter a lot of moves that would be considered easy to punish on reaction. People remash inputs to make sure they stick and throw caution to the wind because they know a lot of unsafe moves in their arsenal are no longer dangerous to throw out.
Zeeshan is “The Number One Online Player on PC who uses Turbo”
I’m “The Number One Player on PC who uses Dan while Singing "
Both are completely unimpressive achievements, and we would BOTH get absolutely raped in a legit offline tournament setting where there’s no input delay, macros or having to sing in a pink Gi.
Edit: Ha ha. Broken Sarcasm Detector is Broken. Oh well, at least I got in a jab at Zeeshan.
god i almost thought you were serious for a minute.
good one man.
button mapping for controllers and turbos for any input device are totally two different realms.
