This just happened yesterday? Hasn’t this been on the news for a week? I was at Target on Black Friday (when all this went down) and as soon as I saw the news I called my bank and asked them what was going on.

I saw a thing about the Target fiasco on CNN, and while I don’t think it’s anything he can sue over, the issuer of the card definitely dropped the ball by not calling or at least emailing to let him know they were canceling the card. If I were him, I’d call and bitch out the company. At the very least, you might be able to get some swag or soemthing, especially if they have a rewards program.

its embarrassing to come on srk and complain about something like this. should always have: Cash, simple line of credit, debit card. Always have enough cash on you to handle immediate needs in case something happens to your cards (for food, gas, condoms, etc). credit card usage depends on your budgeting, but it should see more usage than your debit, considering how many more protections you have with your credit card than your debit. your debit should be a last line of defense, and if you are lessening your usage of it, it won’t be involved with as many issues as the target hack situation…
