Yeah, post pics of it.
Looking at your avatar, I can imagine Phoenix Wright saying “OBJECTION!”
Post pics to support your claim, elaborate or stfu.
I’ve dealt with Finkle and purchased 2 sticks from him and I had no problems at all. (many people will also say the same)
it does take a while for him to ship it through, but he WILL GET THE WORK DONE.
Take a look at what versus addict received from Finkle: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=6611918&postcount=2956.
Finkle won’t respond to him either. My box was also all damaged and poorly packed like his. My stick had a HORRIBLE wobble, looked like the art inside the buttons was cut by a 3 year old, and the pcb started to die not long after I had received it. Dude replied once to say he wasn’t going to do shit about the wobble and I should bend it back myself on a freaking table edge. That was months ago and he would never reply at all about the pcb. Totally unacceptable for a stick I waited 6 months for and spent $200+ on. I feel even worse for versus addict. Did you look at the shit he received? Ridiculous.
2 Freak accidentals in a sea of hundreds of good sticks.
Regarding Versus Addict, that’s obviously a transit problem, look at the damn box. So you can’t blame Noel for that. Granted he is hard to contact but I can guarantee you he’ll get back to him.
In your case, yes you can easily for the wobble. Do you have any idea how many sticks he’s been making since SFIV came out? I doubt he’s going to waste time or money for you sending yours back to fix something you can do by yourself. And he had no way of knowing about the pcb, all pcb’s he uses are new so he couln’t have known about it dying. For that just wait for a response. As I said it takes a while but he’ll contact people.
But don’t ask him to be put on the list of scammers because that’s simply retarded.
Considering on this site how people who have been trustworthy for years can suddenly start dropping off in quality and/or outright scamming people after good trades, I think you need to tone down your language.
Tone down what language?
REgardless of how people can “Drop-off” doesnt over the fact that it looks as if there has ben a SERIOUS transit accident.
WHERE was the insurance covering the shipped goods? Its 3 dollars for up to 500 dollars insurance i believe. If you had insurance it takes roughly 2 months for them to pay the insurance anyways, so if your boxes got jacked up and you paid for shipping insurance, then lo and behold your going to be waiting 1~2 months before ANY money will get to finkle so he can do repairs.
i want to see your stick; not because i don’t believe you, but because i’m trying to figure out the safest way to ship my boxes. i’m scared to death of some moron in shipping damaging something i worked my butt off to finish and have it reflect badly on ME.
however, versus addict’s box could be considered a rush job***. those circles in the paint are from bubble wrap pressing up against a “soft” finish. it’s something most guys (that are writing painting guides) don’t talk about because they either don’t know about, or deem it irrelevant because of the way most boxes are made (most people don’t touch the paint jobs on their sticks their hands are on the acrylic face). my boxes are made different than most guys; you put your hands on my paint jobs, so i have to make EXTRA sure my jobs can pass the “fingernail test.” (poke the paint job relatively hard with your fingernail, if it leaves a mark, it’s not done) a lot of these beautiful mirror finishes some of these guys are sporting after letting their paint dry for a couple of days can mar with the slightest bump and will eventually turn hazy. paint can take MONTH**SSSSSS ** to dry in open air depending on where you live. and get this: if you do your final wet sand and buff with swirl remover when the finish is “soft” it will STAY soft. the paint underneath your swirl remover will NEVER dry.
*that rush job *might *not be finkle’s fault. another variable is that paint companies can change their formula without telling anyone. they aren’t obligated to reveal their chemical ratios to anyone (I THINK! I’M NOT 100% SURE ON THIS!) unless people start dropping like flies. Krylon did this and it reacted differently with their older formula (which had the same packaging). i fell victim to it. every time i’d let my final color coat dry (3 weeks at least) and sprayed a clear coat on it, the paint would crack instantly. eventually i just threw a good portion of my paint away :bluu: (not that i’m trying to take up for finkle or anybody else that gets posted in this thread- in a way, their negative press gives me positive press. just keep in mind that SOME things aren’t intentionally done)
I am seriously considering adding Lazeeya to this wall…
can you elaborate? what is going on?
Multiple weeks of delay past ETA to complete sticks, horrible communication for the last month, misinformation about shipping (saying he shipped and providing an unfulfilled Fedex tracking where he never dropped it off), STILL no communication, tracking, or sticks for multiple customers.
Whatever man. I expected perfection for $200+ on a stick. The wobble was freaking horrible btw. I shouldn’t have to fix that shit, but I did. I shouldn’t have had to reprint art because he couldn’t take 5 minutes to cut shit straight, but I did. I shouldn’t have had a dead pcb after 1 1/2 or 2 months. If you look at the stick the wrong way the paint will chip also. Was just kind of a sloppy product all around. I wouldn’t have said shit about anything on the forums if the guy would have just manned up and replaced the pcb. After months of waiting for a reply and not even getting a fuck off from the guy… Just put it over the top.
Btw, my box was really fucked up like versus addicts. Maybe Finkle should start using decent shipping instead of Canada Post…
I don’t know where it got damaged… Either Canada Post or USPS. He did the cheapest ground shipping possible. Probably bounced around in the back of a truck for two weeks until the delivery man punted it to my door Ace Ventura style. I would have much rather paid $20… $30 or whatever more to have it shipped FedEx or whatever.
I’m gonna step in here and say I can’t believe people are mentioning names like Byrdo and Finkle in this thread. Makes me freakin sick. If you have a problem with their work they will fix it, give them time. This thread is not working as intended and needs to be closed.
Steve, my intentions of creating this thread is to post information up on transactions between the sellers and buyers that were uncooperative during the trade process. I wanted people to just post up transactions with certain scenarios and situations, where the buyer doesn’t receive any goods nor service upon paying the seller or vice versa. I have been reading through this thread lately and it seems that some users know how to utilize this part of the forum, and apparently there are some users that just post up outlandish complaints. This post is intended to draw out any scams and bring justice to the victim of the transaction, NOT to criticize people’s work or services… As for Matty, I have YET to see a picture of your Finkle case. I have bought many cases off of him and although there are communications breakdowns, I had eventually received them as of May 2009. If you do have a problem with your case, please contact him and eventually he’ll get back to you.
You expect to get perfection from them, that’s why these people stated their VALID problems. If I buy a new corvette and there is ANYTHING wrong with it, it’s going back to the dealership. Expecting quality is not a bad thing.
Stop hanging from the nutsacks of these two people(finkle, byrdo) you probably don’t even know. They have valid concerns
Man I couldn’t conceivably agree more. The guy sent me my stick a month and a half late and it only worked for a few days. He tells me to send it back to him and then doesn’t reply to my emails. I sent it back to him in May and now, in July, after a serious lack of consistant communication he calls me a liar and refuses to refund me and he won’t send me my stick. He lied to me twice about shipping and to this day he still has it. Don’t order from Lazeeya, just use the money to build your own stick.
Add me to the list of customers not happy with Lazeeya. 4 months and not a word back from him is just a bit much!
I didn’t know Byrdo did commissions at all, back in the day he just made sticks and sold them as he pleased.
