Hello everyone.
I find it difficult as a professional to address anything in this thread because of the unprofessional circumstances, language, behavior, and personalities that you need to respond to.

Despite the fact that I don’t believe there is any positive way to spin a response here, I will provide one anyway because I think it’s okay to drop out of professional character and the “royal we’s” to be honest with you guys every once in a while. After all, it’s no secret that the market isn’t huge for a business like mine and it should be a pretty clear guess that at the top of the company a personal character is responsible.

My point is that most of our friends here on the forum are familiar with the owners of each of the four main sources for parts around the forums, and understand that we are people too.

We have a thread here on the forum, it’s not hidden, it’s in the Tech Talk section; and it has always been open for feedback. Fortunately that thread is almost up to 2000 posts, and you won’t find the negativity you did here anywhere in that discussion.

To clear things up here:
My original response is noted on the previous page-
To rephrase, I had a bad experience with the buyer. Uncommunicative and Uncooperative, it’s great that he eventually sent back the package, but the things that he didn’t mention were that he returned the package more than a month after we requested it, and only did so after we offered him a payment of 75$ for the recovery of the package. In other words, there was a large reward offered to him before he became motivated to make the return.

I made that offer to him on July 1st, 23 days after my first request for him to send back the package. In that offer I told him he had a week to postmark the package to receive this reward. (The reward goes beyond my obligations at 75$, his original order was a small product under 30 dollars.) That week would make for 30 full days for him just to work with us in a simple way. I thought that was a simple enough request, and he could keep the package if he didn’t have enough respect for us to meet this deadline.

Please keep in mind that the whole time there was no monetary loss at stake for Julian, we offered to reimburse the return shipping. The real negative aspects of the situation he was implicated in came from his own life- He complained that getting to the post office was too much work for him because he didn’t own a car. That was fine, we offered to pay for an online label you could simply print from home and hand to your mailman (very minimal effort;) his response was that he did not have access to a printer either. That was fine, I figured the 75 dollar reward would take care of all the troubles of getting to a post office and shipping it out to us; his response in this third bid from me for cooperation was that he did not have the pocket change to send it out in the first place, then be reimbursed. I understand that some people live tough lifestyles, I myself have never experienced it, but I do understand and respect that- my point here is this… We have dealt with over a thousand customers from this forum, there have been plenty of mistakes, but it has always been simple to work out. The inconvenience factor and the time-wasting did not come from us, the reason why this one was so difficult to work out was because the customer does not have a ride, a printer, or a savings account. Our effort was there and any other customer would have been satisfied with the options we provided.

As a regular person, after all of this, I came to read his public insults and attack on my character and business and developed a personal grudge.
I admit that in my PERSONAL grudge, which I almost never permit to interfere with business- I did not prioritize my response to him after I finally got the package returned some 40 days after all was said and done. I had not heard from the customer since August 3rd (that was his last e-mail to me,) and I eventually forgot about it.

That’s all that’s happened here. You can believe that I absolutely do not care about the money. It was not about the money, all that we owed to the customer was a 25 dollar controller. I’ve given away 25 dollars of items free in random orders from customers around the forum almost every week this year. I handed out 5 dollar gift cards to a hundred forum members for free the very specific week that this dispute aired out with Julian in this thread! It is not an issue of trying to save money or being a thief. The issue is that I’m running a business because of my passion for a hobby and extending favors to the community out of a common interest, and then occassionally a person comes by that makes it a very sour experience, with personal attacks, manipulative complaints, etcetera. I just do not like it when a customer sees a mistake we made in serving you as an opportunity to take advantage of us. Believe me that we are not monetarily motivated, there are plenty of other jobs I could be doing that would pay more including the administration of another business I am involved in.

Now please let me know what you all think about the case with my rebuttal considered. I search my personal name and website name every week on the forum to see what’s going on around SRK and answer questions that might be hiding in different threads. That is how I was reminded of this fiasco with Julian’s new posts… Otherwise I would have never remembered.

You have 7 days to refund Airthrow what he is owed, or you will be removed from this website for cause.

I finally got what I am owed, but only under threats of bannage from Mr. Wiz, not cus it’s the right thing to do to refund your customer who even sent you back the wrong package.

That’s well over $1000, sorry but maybe I should peace out lazeeya for all this scamming. I dunno why people take so many damn orders then they just run off, and you don’t hear shit from them. Why should anybody have to track them down? They should be refunding the customers if they aren’t going to ship the orders out. But no, they wanna be douches and do this to hard working people.

I looked in that thread and it seems like you guys are hunting/trapping this guy, so I’ll be watching or maybe we can reach an overall agreement to weed him outta our outlet for retaliation.

damn man. That’s so lame man. Not only did he ripped you guys off, but he also made a few of the new 09er’s skeptical about placing orders with other builders such as myself.

What’s f’ed up is that, he has a JOB, and he can’t refund you guys. That’s so pathetic, all he has to do is pay you guys back on Paypal using his credit card and then he can slowly pay off his credit card. That’s the least he could of done after screwing everyone over.

Dude, he’s sooooo lucky I wasn’t one of the buyers, cuz i got some CRAZY CRAZY friends in Alburquerque (they moved there cuz they were getting into too much trouble over here in San Diego). And we all know how small ALburquerque is, not hard at all to find a person. LOL. But, since im not involved, i guess i can’t do shit about it. I just wanted to point out the fact that I’m sure he’s got money to pay you guys back. I think he just simply doesnt want to.

Sorry I had to repost this since he posted this in this thread and then turned into something he talked so much smack about. Goes to show not everybody is what they seem.:lame: I really hope you all get your money back.

I haven’t been on SRK to check my PMs (i was on for a few seconds a few days ago but didn’t check my PMs) and I never got an email from you. Might have been picked up by my spam filters, idk. I got one from paypal telling me you filed a claim though, hence I got on here.

I am a noob on this site, but am a long time member of neo-geo.com and I am trying to get in contact with someone who is also a member here. His user name is Alok331 on this board and several others. I entered into a deal with him for a SF3: Giant Attack PCB, drive, cart, and cd about 3 weeks ago at this point. I have been unable to contact him since 2 weeks ago, when he promised me he was shipping for the second time. I paid via paypal, but via gift ( dumb I know), so I have no way to file a claim or even attempt to get my money back.

I have his phone number, but I get no response…just his voicemail. If anyone here has a different way of getting ahold of him, would you please let me know.

I am eating $200 at this point and I’m not to pumped about it.

I placed my order nearly eight months ago. Which was during the time he was still producing sticks. I can’t read minds through the internet to know he’d start scamming people around the time I placed my order.

you go to the bank and you say you paid for an item via paypal and have not received it. the bank will always side with you and get you your money back. even if you gave it as a ‘gift’ you still used your bank to pay for that paypal transaction. now if that 200 was from paypal credit then you are fucked.

Yeah it was from my paypal balance…so I’m fucked. That’s why I am attempting to get ahold of this seller. I don’t see why someone would throw there rep down the tubes for 200, but I’ve seen it happen before.
