Hello everyone.
I find it difficult as a professional to address anything in this thread because of the unprofessional circumstances, language, behavior, and personalities that you need to respond to.
Despite the fact that I don’t believe there is any positive way to spin a response here, I will provide one anyway because I think it’s okay to drop out of professional character and the “royal we’s” to be honest with you guys every once in a while. After all, it’s no secret that the market isn’t huge for a business like mine and it should be a pretty clear guess that at the top of the company a personal character is responsible.
My point is that most of our friends here on the forum are familiar with the owners of each of the four main sources for parts around the forums, and understand that we are people too.
We have a thread here on the forum, it’s not hidden, it’s in the Tech Talk section; and it has always been open for feedback. Fortunately that thread is almost up to 2000 posts, and you won’t find the negativity you did here anywhere in that discussion.
To clear things up here:

To rephrase, I had a bad experience with the buyer. Uncommunicative and Uncooperative, it’s great that he eventually sent back the package, but the things that he didn’t mention were that he returned the package more than a month after we requested it, and only did so after we offered him a payment of 75$ for the recovery of the package. In other words, there was a large reward offered to him before he became motivated to make the return.
I made that offer to him on July 1st, 23 days after my first request for him to send back the package. In that offer I told him he had a week to postmark the package to receive this reward. (The reward goes beyond my obligations at 75$, his original order was a small product under 30 dollars.) That week would make for 30 full days for him just to work with us in a simple way. I thought that was a simple enough request, and he could keep the package if he didn’t have enough respect for us to meet this deadline.
Please keep in mind that the whole time there was no monetary loss at stake for Julian, we offered to reimburse the return shipping. The real negative aspects of the situation he was implicated in came from his own life- He complained that getting to the post office was too much work for him because he didn’t own a car. That was fine, we offered to pay for an online label you could simply print from home and hand to your mailman (very minimal effort;) his response was that he did not have access to a printer either. That was fine, I figured the 75 dollar reward would take care of all the troubles of getting to a post office and shipping it out to us; his response in this third bid from me for cooperation was that he did not have the pocket change to send it out in the first place, then be reimbursed. I understand that some people live tough lifestyles, I myself have never experienced it, but I do understand and respect that- my point here is this… We have dealt with over a thousand customers from this forum, there have been plenty of mistakes, but it has always been simple to work out. The inconvenience factor and the time-wasting did not come from us, the reason why this one was so difficult to work out was because the customer does not have a ride, a printer, or a savings account. Our effort was there and any other customer would have been satisfied with the options we provided.
As a regular person, after all of this, I came to read his public insults and attack on my character and business and developed a personal grudge.
I admit that in my PERSONAL grudge, which I almost never permit to interfere with business- I did not prioritize my response to him after I finally got the package returned some 40 days after all was said and done. I had not heard from the customer since August 3rd (that was his last e-mail to me,) and I eventually forgot about it.
That’s all that’s happened here. You can believe that I absolutely do not care about the money. It was not about the money, all that we owed to the customer was a 25 dollar controller. I’ve given away 25 dollars of items free in random orders from customers around the forum almost every week this year. I handed out 5 dollar gift cards to a hundred forum members for free the very specific week that this dispute aired out with Julian in this thread! It is not an issue of trying to save money or being a thief. The issue is that I’m running a business because of my passion for a hobby and extending favors to the community out of a common interest, and then occassionally a person comes by that makes it a very sour experience, with personal attacks, manipulative complaints, etcetera. I just do not like it when a customer sees a mistake we made in serving you as an opportunity to take advantage of us. Believe me that we are not monetarily motivated, there are plenty of other jobs I could be doing that would pay more including the administration of another business I am involved in.
Now please let me know what you all think about the case with my rebuttal considered. I search my personal name and website name every week on the forum to see what’s going on around SRK and answer questions that might be hiding in different threads. That is how I was reminded of this fiasco with Julian’s new posts… Otherwise I would have never remembered.
Have you ever heard of EVO, the reason you have a business? It’s pretty expensive for us out of state people to pay for airfare, hotels, food, entrance fees etc. If you don’t know why money would be tight around that time for one of your customers, you’re an idiot.
Before you said a SINGLE thing about a fucking “reward” which I never wanted to send the stuff back anyways, I ALREADY TOLD YOU I needed to get paid before I could send your package back. I have only ever asked for the things I ordered, or my money back for the items, or reimbursement for sending out of pocket for YOUR FUCKUP. WHO made a fuckup in this Nareg? YOU DID. I don’t owe anyone anything, and I legally could’ve KEPT all that shit, but I did the right thing and sent back to you as soon as I could afford to around Evo which was very expensive. So FUCK YOU.

I know I’m never going to see a cent of what you owe me, but it is worth more to me to discourage people from buying from a dirtbag like you than the fucking chump change you owe me is. Good job, I bet you cost yourself hundreds to thousands of dollars in business by being a jackass.
mods are there to moderate and advise to the best of their abilities. they’re not banks, they’re not paypal, and they’re not your credit card company.
i just got screwed out of 200 dollars just a few days ago. im going straight to my bank to deal with it.

No matter how you spin it, the mistake was yours and Airthrow did the right thing. Relatively speaking, a month isn’t really THAT long. Consider how some sellers have taken over 6 months before they even respond to emails and such. As far as I know, Airthrow has informed you that he would not be able to send back the package right away. It’s not like he used anything from the package in a way that would make the items lose their value.
I am shocked to find out that you haven’t reimbursed Airthrow yet. I know most people here would be biased and may take your side, because you are a reputable seller here, but that does not make you RIGHT. You write as though you are the victim in this, when clearly you are not. Until you finally reimburse Airthrow for his expenses (I think you should give him the 75$ reward too), I don’t think you have the right to call him uncooperative/uncommunicative or even say anything bad about him. You still have his money and he wants it back.
Honestly, I find that the one who’s acting unprofessional right now is you, Nareg.
EDIT: Just read from a few posts back that Julian made his order back in June/July. Where is his money, Nareg?

FUCK THAT, he should send me my money back because it’s the right thing to do, period. Just to update you guys, the guy who got MY order NEVER gave Nareg back the controller. Yet I send it back as soon as I possibly can and I am treated like fucking dirt.

And on the uncommunicative accusation from Nareg, I have previously posted that the biggest gap in our communication EVER was from NAREG because I emailed him and got NO RESPONSE until I first posted about this on the forums, aka, he was never intending to make right on this transaction AT ALL until I went public. THEN he posted a response LIGHTNING FAST after I went public, what a coincidence right???

I understand SRK cannot force anyone to make good on their transactions, but if a person/company ADMITS to stealing someone’s money why are they still allowed to advertise on here, and why is their account not banned?
