W. Lafayette, IN Gatherings Every Tues.. RANBATS Every other Tues. First Ranbat 1/25

if it was like facebook where you could tag a character in a video and then you could like search “videos containing chun-li” that would be pretty fuckin rad.

It would take some time but I do quite a bit of web programming so it wouldn’t be all the difficult, I don’t think, especially if it utilizes YouTube rather than it’s own video player.

That would be really cool if done well. Web programming isn’t really my bailiwick but I would help out some if you needed it.

Also: somebody bring a laptop to tomorrow’s meeting so I can bring my Dreamcast emulation stuff to play hella 3s/CvS2/Jojo’s/Darkstalkers/Marvel with half the characters still locked.

So after playing xbox live for about 2 hours i have come to the conclusion that i am without a doubt the worst SF4 player on the face of the earth.

Also Faux i want to play your vega tomorrow, apparently i desperately need work on that matchup.

you’re too hard on yourself man

have you SEEN what passes for SF online?

Yah. and im losing to it.

yeah but online ssf4 is the worst metric for street fighter skill ever

don’t read too much into it

yah i know, it just annoying when i fall for every single Abel mix up EVER. And i cant seem to punish kens MPshoryu without getting hit by another lol.

Of course, I’ll be there!

Your just jealous that sometimes my online Gen can win rounds only using j.HP and land Ogas 100% of the time, pure skill man

What option selects does ChunLi use other then like safe-jump OS Ultra/flip-kick-overhead-thingy to punish backdashing?
OS EX-SBK to beat Psycho Crusher?

having a jump-in double fierce lends her a lot of interesting safe jump OS’s.

You OS the second fierce with roundhouse for backdashes, with hasan-shuu for teleports, or with throw tech.

There’s also this:

That’s one that I theoretically use, but people don’t usually backdash/teleport out on Cammy anyway
Sometimes the threat of it is enough I guess

Signed up for Season’s Beatings!

anyone up for a little warmup tourney next week?

Awesome

So correct me if I’m wrong, the group for SB5 is:
Me, Chris, Tony, John, Tim, Carl, Neal, and Brett
and Jeff will be there with people from Indy

If so, 8 is exactly the number of people we reserved rooms for

GGs to everyone tonight

Can someone give me the exact link to the page where you sign up? I’m stupid I don’t see it… I’m trying to do that not now but RIGHT now…

We need more fight nights, I hate playing online so much…

so true

LETS DO SOME ENDLESS BATTLES TONITE or whenever too!!! send me a message on XBL GAMERTAG: toni0z

dropping this here for Purdue it’s kinda short notice but in any case…

TILT TEN $ TUESDAY SSF4 TOURNAMENT (hence forth known as T3 Tournaments) 10-12-10

This is kinda short notice, but i just finalized the plans yesterday… if we get enough competitors at this initial event then I’ll start hosting them monthly, but for now I’m aiming this first one towards the Indiana players and also to get some quality practice before SB the that weekend. I might need some assistance running brakets if anyone wants to volunteer. Any and all competitors are welcome

We’ll be playing it out on the cabinets and we get all 3 of the xbox 360 cabs for the entirety of the tournament provided we have 2 more 360 copies of the game (i’m putting out a call to arms). Don’t worry i talked to Vic and he told me they fixed the broken 2P side so we’re clear on that.

When: Tuesday, October 10th, 2010 i’d like to ask everyone what their preferred start time is so i can find some middle ground but currently I’m aiming for 3 or 4pm

Where: The Tilt arcade at Circle Center Mall downtown in the fighter’s corner. Ask the counter clerk where the tournament is if you manage to get lost

Fees and $: $10 entry fee, no need for gamecards unless you intend on playing something other than SSF4 we got it covered… the winner and runner up both split the winner’s pot 70/30

Rules: All characters allowed, loser can switch, winner stays, 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches, full double elimination, all played out on the arcades xbox 360 sweet-tooth cabinets for oldskool nostalgia and footing

Any questions, suggestions, comments, or concerns feel free to call me (those of you who have my number) or PM me. I’ll be circulating this around the local community to get some players from all Indy’s nook and crannies. To help this go a little more quickly feel free to PM me your name for pre-registration if you can make it
