I REALLY don’t think people know much about Thor yet… his jumping H can be cancelled midair with any special move and has 1frame recovery.
Insta-air mighty strike leaves him like +13 on block. Thor’s mixup game is actually REALLY good imo. And he already hits like a tank…
Yeah. I’ve believed in his damage and mix-ups for a while. His issue seems to be push-blocking, since his tri-jump doesn’t move him that far, but a good assist can fix that easily enough, as can Mighty Hurricane mix-ups. Yeah, NVM. I’d say as long as you don’t use ground normals with him without hit confirming/ assist covering, you’re good to go.
He has decent damage and options. I mean, Mighty Thunder OTG’s, he has a iron man-like tri jump, so two options for getting in someone’s face is Airdash Downforward with L, because it’s a great combo starter for thor, and also Airdash forward H, because the people’s elbow (yes, I’m calling it the people’s elbow) stuffs a lot of shit.
Overall, I’m having more fun with Thor than I am with anyone except Magnegro.

so, i live in regular lafayette, and I love me some fighting games, i play mostly BB, and mvc3, i’d like to think i’m at least semi competent at them.
so, where exactly ios this meetup/ranbats going on at? i’m not too familiar with W laf, and don’t know what beerings basement is supposed to be. google yields nothing other than lafayette brewing company, lol. I’d love to be able to play against some people whop aren’t my roommate. unfortunately, I’m stuck at an army base for another two weeks as I’m on orders for the Guard, so i wont be able to show up to a ranbat or whatever for awhile.
anyways, I main tager, bang, hazama, and jin for BB, and there’s about ten or so characters i’m currently learning for mahvel. looking forward to coming home and playing me some vidyamagames against competent opponents.
Beering is a building on Purdue’s campus. Directly behind university hall. We are in the Basement of that building and we play every tues from 7pm till usually 11 or 12. We hold Marvel Ranbats and Super Ranbats on a rotating schedule.

Adding to that, just in case street info and other such stuff helps:
Beering Hall is on University Street, which you can get to by turning right off of State Street (or 26 if you know it by that). There should be a parking garage right on that street which you can use, or at least a few of us who live off campus have used before. If you Google Map the place, it should give you a pretty good idea of where the building is. Once you’re in, take the stairs down and look for B222 (That’s the main meeting room this week).

Thor IS hella fun! I heard people calling the elbow the Randy Savage, but now that Mike Ross has picked up Thor (his new team is Ryu/Thor/Hulk), the People’s Elbow will probably be the new thing.

I hate all three.
If I didn’t use Gustaff Fire i would probably rage against it and lobby for them to take it out of the game.
But I do use it so Gustaff Fire is awesome and should stay forever.
