I think the thing with me is that I turtle like crazily in this game and hope you wear yourself out before I attack. I should really start being more aggressive.

e: the team I’m messing around with is Storm/Zero/Akuma which incorporates everything I hate playing against (sans Tron assist) in one package
Akuma assist is nearly as stupid as Tron’s (okay not really).
Storm/Zero has a ton of easy 100%s btw if you use the dhc glitch, but you probably knew that.
Tron’s assist is probably the single most aggravating thing within this game.

yeah the DHC interaction between Zero and Storm is one of the centerpieces of the team; I can get something like 1.1 million for two meters by going from BY THE POWER OF GAIA to [media=youtube]T_OiIyreMy8"[/media]
Akuma assist is almost as aggravating just because it turns normal crossup teleport moves (sup Zero and Wolverine) into stupid-as-hell-almost-unblockable broken pieces of shit
plus the team is really easy to play and my one day faceroll Zero is already as effective as my one month Viper

I just threw America’s favorite anchor onto my team after watching the amazing sight that is Chris G. Ammy goes out and Ryu moves up a slot, making the team Spidey (web ball), Ryu (tatsu) , and Wesker (take a wild guess). With Wesker, Spidey needs no meter to hit 650K combos. Ryu gets some mix-ups with the gun shot as well.
Speaking of Chris G, if no one has seen him blowing up everyone on the East Coast with Ryu yet, check out the matches from the recent Guard Crush. His Ammy/Ryu/Wesker team is amazing.
That sounds like a solid team. All 3 of those characters do absolutely dumb damage.

My Secondary team is actually Thor/Magneto/Wesker.
I’d love to get rid of wesker, but Thor and Mags benefit all too well from Wesker’s OTG.
I think that’s a pretty good approximation of how good that assist is for combos.
Honestly, Spidey doesn’t gain THAT much damage from it because of his stupidly high hit-stun deterioration. However, I can finish combos with knocking them down, picking them up with Wesker, and web-throwing them immediately. Since web-throw never scales, that’s a nice 150K ender to the combo, putting meterless Spidey combos at really nice damage.
@Jeff: Yeah, that’s what I kinda felt I lacked with Ammy, and I wasn’t very good with her anyway. Ryu was all my heavy damage with my previous team. With this team, I feel like I’m never completely out of a match so long as Wesker is alive and with that X-factor. Heck, Ryu can finish matches early with his own brutal x-factor combos.
Well, to be fair, other people DO have decent OTG assists, like Deadpool or Viper if you’re advanced. For Thor, however, the air release of the gunshot is JUST good enough that he can start a ghetto loop.
