Yeah, me too. Kyle Hebert (Ryu’s VA) alone has made a ton of improvement from SFIV, he just sounds more… into it, I dunno. And he actually says “Tatsumaki Sempukyaku!” now, which is awesome. I’ve always liked Laura Bailey as Chun Li so I’m good with her coming back in MvC3 as well.
Yeah, this is weird. I don’t know why they gave every Capcom character a JPN voice actor. Just seems unnecessary, especially for those aforementioned Dante and Wesker. I could see Morrigan or Felicia, sure, but hearing Chris and Arthur (and English knight for crissakes) speak japanese… I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.
Yeah, if anything I’ll just change the characters that would more likely speak Japanese (Ryu, Chun, Amaterasu) over, but in all honesty I’ll probably just leave 'em all in English.
Wikipedia doesn’t have a Japanese voice actor for Wesker outside of MvC3, so I think at least he was.
Well good news is the voices are individually customizeable, supposedly… ala SSF4…which reminds me that, along those same lines, it gets really funny to hear someone like Dudley shout out the english names of his attacks with a Japanese accent, since he’s… British and all.
I’m keeping everyone on English except Ryu/Chun so far (Not sure if Felicia’s is annoying or not yet.)
Partly because these are the voices I’m used to (DMC, RE) and also because they’re actually pretty good.
Ryu and Chun will never sound right for me in English, though.
yea lol. Ryu and Chun will be in jap for me. Probably Felicia as well, as long as her jp isnt as annoying as her english. I might put Tron in JP as wel. Otherwise the Engish voice acting is top tier in this game.
Like in SFIV, I’ll make the Capcom characters speak Japanese, even though Dante’s English VA is pretty good. I just hope that Marvel finds a better VA for Capt. America. He doesn’t sound patriotic at all like in the older games.
Also, I forgot about Tron’s voice, I’ll have to listen to both for a while first.

Tron’s voice is great, except for her jumping fierce noise… if that move gets used as much as it is in the demos, everybody’s gonna get mad tired of that.
