They either replaced most of his old lines or are having batches of lines for each character like in BB.

This, this and this. It also helps that the lines they’re reading are so full of character love. Nothing feels forced, and the banter between characters and their teammates makes it really feel like you’re battling as a team.

I think this will be the first game where not all the tournies are using Japanese voices (Though in SF4 I didn’t get why hearing half the cast do their best Scooby-Doo impression was better… but whatever).
Yeah, at least I hope so. I already know there is going to be some tournament or combo video on youtube with ALL the Capcom characters speaking Japanese… and I and going to shake my head in disappointment.

The english voices are seriously fantastic I agree. If you can do character specific voice changes(which I think you can) I might just switch Ryu and/or Chun but other than that I’m good.
I don’t really even get why Dante and Wesker even have Japanese voices, weren’t they English even in Japanese versions of the games?
