Everyone underestimated him, also no one was blocking.
Spoiler
Also, tempted to throw this into scrubquotes but you are a cool guy so nah.

I really doubt they care about their opponent’s enjoyment. Viscant build a team that help him win, nothing is “cheating” with what he did. It called being smart.
Dat Noah factor.
Hulk having that much armor on his attacks is crazy but it’s just like Haggar assist-- bait that shit out and stop waltzing right into it. block and punish or stay away.
Not sure if you are being serious. Either way, Noah gets buffs next game so more salty people can whine about Hulk.
Makes me lol forever, cause not getting owned by standing :h: is so easy to do.
Isnt that true for fighting games in general? You want to exploit every advantage you have, no matter how cheap it is.
All the friends I knew who have played fighting games in tournaments in the past… they were the cheapest players out of everyone I knew. Even if they were playing against someone who didnt know how to play the game, they got them in to some situation where the newer player couldnt escape. Sure, they could have let him go since he was new, or they could have told the new guy how to escape it. But they didnt. They smacked them down until the new player was like “f this game”.
Sure MvC3 has a lot of mixups, tricks w/ assists that you cant do in other games, etc. But in general, the whole genre is about giving your opponent the lowest possible chance to do anything about losing. If you find something they cant counter, you use it. If you havent come to terms with that, then I’m surprised you are a fan of the genre.
I got that from the beginning.
I generally play middle-tier, or I guess ‘low tier’ (since I play Cap sometimes and do well with him.). I am well aware of what I am getting into by playing those characters (Skrull/Hulk/Doom), and know that there is vastly better ones. I never considered anyone cheap for using Tron/Hagger assist, phoenix, wolverine, etc.
Dunno, if there is anything I learned from Guilty gear, and Blazblue is that tiers and cheapness don’t matter. It is the player’s ability to play that does. PR Rog just got out played. Especially since his team was JUST as solid as Viscants.
the thing is kids these days think everything is about execution and reactions, and have a general lack of respect for creative/cheap play. which is a throwback to the oldschool which was muuuuuuch less about hitconfirms and much more about traps and general cheap ass zoning/lockdown stuff that made you want to throw controllers. trap based play has always been my favorite style of play but it kinda went out when 3s and newer school games came out, where hitconfirms and parries and execution, not traps, became the barometer for what “skill” was. im glad that there is more trap based gameplay coming back into marvel, its good for the scene for different fighting games to cater to different playstyles.

im a cheap old man and i suck at the game… theres alot of other factors that play into Viscants dominance. he is an inspiration to me now tho… him and Nestea holding down for old men in gaming
lol @ the people who think hes being salty gj failing kids
I am serious

Whether he made these choices intentionally or not, he figured out it works.
The person he is playing is playing incredibly bad. When I fight scrubs I make Captain America look OP.
Also, we should be putting videos in spoilers. I remember that being requested several times by mods.
He took advantage of the bad players lol. Everyone was trying to rush Hulk instead of lame him out and they got smashed with dat H.
Kind of proves my point. Almost every time Noah got a hit in wasn’t when the opponent was doing something and thus taking advantage of armor, it was just that guy failing to block. Granted, he does use heavy hitters, but that video doesn’t showcase Hulk cheapness, just bad playing on the opponent’s part.
lets be real here people… noah made top 48 out of 1500 players. any salt being thrown his way is plain ignorance.

This is funny. You assume 1500 players that went are good at this game. Noah certainly has good fundamentals and all but he got top 48 out of crowd pressure/beating bads.
Come off it.
I get the point, I’m just not sure why he posted it.
Wow Damn Jin
Noah played the same team i told my 8 year old to play. teams beefy with good assists and you dont have to log in hours in training mode to net moderate damage. he found something that he was comfortable with and people slept on him and got blown up. thats good game design imo
