I’m still at school but when I get home first thing I’m doing is DL it and playing it.
Been on this all day… really fun, the net code ain’t bad either. I haven’t ran into any of the slow down that hampered the DC version so far. I actually handles alot better than I’d expect just using the standard type- with a few twinks depending on your preference, it should handle most situations fine.
This game rocks. Looking forward to playing with some of you.
Just DL the game about to test it out see if I can adjust to the xbox pad controls :shake:. I wish I had twin sticks though.
Thanks, doesn’t sound too bad. It hadn’t occurred to me that we now have 2 extra shoulder buttons, I can definitely see that helping.
I just bought this last night on XBL it is epic
Bought it this morning and I missed this game so much!
Yeah, I had to adjust the controls as well. I played it Twin Stick style and it sucked because I don’t have the Twin Stick and I still have the metality of FPS style when using two analog sticks!
And just found out that my 360 has the Red Rings of Death after turning it on later in the night!!
That makes me a Sad Panda
Just played a few Japanese players and I didn’t feel any lag at all. Probably the best online code I’ve played on so far. I think I’m adjusting to the controls a but more I’m also using Twin Stick Type A controls. I love the replay system they have for this game. I’ll see you guys online. Oh yea and I use Raiden.
My VOOM Ranks:
-
Temjin - Best overall, great weapons, good defense, barely any weaknesses
-
Bal - Beats everyone except loses horribly to Viper. Just keep rowing, ppl have almost no choice but to eat mines from the side or walk into your ring laser. Row across the map when you’re trouble. Not fair.
-
Viper - Beats everyone but Temjin and has bad armor so he’s (she’s???!) just below Bal IMO. SLC is great in the right hands.
-
Dorkas - 6-4 to Temjin IMO, loses to Viper/Bal but mows anyone else.
-
Raiden - The top 4 beat him one way or another but he’s pretty mean in good hands. Laser traps are the isht.
-
Apharmd - I love this guy (my main 11 years ago lol) and he’s really a wildcard because of his natural agression but the mechs above him will give him his licks while he tries to get in. He has a better shot against Temjin and Viper, but for the most part it’s an uphill battle.
-
Fei Yen - Fei Yen dance is super fun, but she’s a little too weak to hang. You have to play extremely careful with minimal dashing. Fei Yen vs. Raiden is pretty much the most one-sided match ever. 10-0 easily.
-
Belgdor. Rowing is really really fun, like with Bal, but ez knockdowns and useless dash RW make him the worst overall. He beats Raiden at least, and Temjin interestingly takes lots of damage against him (the developers did it on purpose, I think).
tag here gl gg specineef ftw
It has been wayyy too long since I played this. I have no idea what is going on at all. lol. Its still fun though.
To everyone, feel free to invite me to a game anytime you’re online. I’m sort of lost, right now my strategy is to play safe and only shoot shit that I can dash cancel from, then once I get a life lead I run away until the time runs out.
Aparmed-B for now, hit me up! My connection sometimes sucks but I’ll be moving soon so hopefully it’ll be better.
So if I have an access to both PS3 and 360, and I’d have $70 bucks, should I get this or Armored Core 4 Answer?
wouldn’t 70 get you both? Armored core for Answer is $20 on ps3 or $30 on the 360 at gamestop…I doubt this game cost $40 of microsoft or psn points
^ you can get both!
EDIT: yeah 1 post late
theres like 3 threads for this game and theyre all pretty active
im just learning the game and suck ass but feel free to add me if you are similarly bad or just want some games
Loving Aphmard C, great right weapon, nice well-rounded character, plays very similiar to the old apharmd in VOOM.
Using the Xbox live party to do player matches is highly reccommended. It puts everyone in the party in the same room and anyone can select a match with anyone else. You won’t be able to see any matches if your the odd man out, but you can listen to all the good-natured trash talking.
Since it seems mech games have arrived Bandai should think abou Gundam vs Gundam Next for a download as well. I will finally have mines tomorrow.
this!!!
So someone mentioned in one of the threads that they wish they could use the D-Pad with the Right Analog stick for an almost Twin Stick-like feel. Well you can it’s Twin Stick Type B. Gonna practice this like this since it makes the most sense.
I can’t remember which thread this was posted in…
