…Why…Oh Why…Do i NOT HAVE A 360!!!
Oh shit, it’s on now. And I just hit a lick for 4000 points so I’ll just be coppin this ASAP.
Because… you haven’t bought one yet? I don’t have one either, but I will by the time VOOT is available. :wgrin:
Two more days!! Anybody else have their Twin Sticks ready to go?
I wish I had the money for a modded twin sticks atm. I’ll have to do with the pad for now :shake:
The official Xbox 360 Virtual-On: OT site has been updated with a bunch of new info on the game. It would be nice if they made an English site, since, you know, it’s being released in the US on the same day.
That’s understandable. Also, Sega still hasn’t confirmed whether or not they will release Xbox 360 Twin Sticks, so they’re still hope. Although they wouldn’t be cheap (at least the same if not more than DC Twin Sticks, which were $60 or so MRSP), they will be cheaper than modded DC or Saturn Twin Sticks. I put in a pre-order with NCS, just in case.
I’m not sure if I can totally rely on Google Translate but did the site just say that Ajim is selectable hidden character? If so, neat.
I’d really like twin sticks, too. That’d be too awesome. However, I’ll settle on xbox controller and train hardbody with it! Assuming there’ll be people playing online. I hope my old old old Virtual On skills was on par with average VOOT player!
If they do end up releasing twin sticks for a price lower than modded twin sticks now then I’m all over that. I’ll have to refresh myself again by watching match videos to see who I want to use. I mainly played the first VO and never played much of VOOT. So it will kinda be all new to me in a way besides the control sceme but since I’m on pad it will be new I guess.
Yes, AJIM is selectable, like in the arcade version. AJIM was also available in the DC version, but had date requirements (you could only choose AJIM after the 15th of the month for some reason). I don’t know if you’ve used AJIM before, but it is difficult to use… it is not like the “boss character” type you play against in single player.
Although moving around is difficult enough with the insane rotation speed, the main problem with using AJIM is its health depletes at a constant rate (something like 1.5% per second). I’ve never seen a competitive AJIM, and don’t think I will in VER.5.66 because AJIM’s powerful attacks are no match for the level of evasion capable in VER.5.66.
Also included are the “prototype” RAIDEN and TEMJIN VRs from the DC version. I don’t know if these were in the arcade version, but they are useless anyway (they are even more limited than 10/80 Special).
I’m Ready. Someone add me. We can get some major games.
Thank you SEGA.
Dam no split screen for 2 player action. It seems you can only link 2 systems together to play. That or play someone online. I’ll see you guys online tomorrow night when I get home to DL it.
I’ve been playing 5.45 in the last week to make sure I’m not completely rusty as far as VO goes.
So yeah, getting it tomorrow, and I’ll see how bad I really am at the game.
I dunno how I’ll be able to split my time between this and SFIV…by far my 2 favorite games on earth…xbox360 pad controls are not bad but I need to get my DC twin sticks working on here ASAP!
Can you mod my 2 sticks? I would like to keep it functional for Dreamcast if at all possible.
This shit is live. Only issue is that you have to go through the marketplace to get it. Holla at me if you wanna get some rounds in.
I can’t wait to download this. Hell, it’s where I got my alias from
I’m waiting til I have access to my 360 again >_<
How are the controls with the pad? Similar to DC? Better/Worse?
Better as a whole, I suppose. Standard setup is pretty much just like the Dreamcast controls, but you can customize as you see fit. I’ve assigned turning to the LB and RB buttons, and used the left analog’s click for the special button… Only complaint: they won’t let you use the d-pad, for some reason. It’s kind of a problem, because it’s a bit more difficult to pull off Watari Dashes consistently with the analog stick… Ironic, not only because of how simple Watari Dashes are, but I believe this is the first time I’ve wanted to use the 360’s d-pad for something, and can’t.
“Twinstick A”, with the dual analog… Feels better than it did on MarZ, at least. But I still can’t stand it.
I hope this game does well, so Sega will seriously consider making an official Twinstick controller. I want to use one so bad, but I honestly don’t want to mess up my Dreamcast Twinsticks.
I bought this today. Japanese players are owning my ass but I like it so far. Too bad the vast majority of online players are Japanese =/
