I doubt they’d release accessories just for an XBL game. Though it would be awesome if they did make the Twin Sticks, it’s highly unlikely it will happen.
Just wanted to share the sickest news EVER lol
Virtua On heading over to the Xbox 360 Arcade!!!

Another little fact is that it’s going to be done off of VOOT the best one in the series.
where can i find vids of advanced vo gameplay?
Here are a few youtube channels with lots of VO matches from different VO games:

The voom tiers here quite frankly makes me question what level you guys got too.
If virtual On .net was still running (it went down 2, 3? years ago) you would get some good answers from Quad ( the guy who coded for netplay) and others - Johnson, sydvoc guys.
Temjin - was top tier
no real distinction between Apharmd, Raiden and Dorkas.
Apharmd was no where near the bottom half. Big four shotgun was hella usefull.
Raiden shoulder was one of the fastest CC moves in the game.
Dorkas was a monster at higher levels - never thought much of him till I travelled and played vs the sydvoc guys.
Fei Yen - heart knockdowns made her near top?
Viper
Bal bas Bow - good for people to note his match up vs Temjin.
Did quite well on some stages where you could get him homing mines to curl around.
Beldgor - rowing doesn’t make up for overall crappiness.
Sliding crouch shots destroyed the lighter mechs at mid range (120 - 160)
crouch bombs had some crazy hit boxes in close combat too.
IIRC you could be facing a wall … then crouch bomb as Fei yen would slash you.
Rise from the dead!
So, I only played the first VO game on the saturn and limited arcade time, and am really looking forward to getting VOOT next month on XBLA.
Does anyone think that using the dual sticks and 4 shoulder buttons will produce as close to an arcade set-up as possible?
And finally, is there a dedicated VO site still alive on the interwebs?
I can’t wait for this shit on XBL.
We need an online tournament…
urgh i gotta get a 360, i want in on some VO
Throwing up the new trailer for the re-release on XBLA in case some people haven’t seen it yet.
Man… So now 360 has both Senko and VO… Damn that’s a strong argument. Still, all my friends have PS3s so that will probably have to be my KOFXII-machine. :grrr:
They should release this stuff on Steam or something.
If anyone hasn’t checked out this thread yet. People making their own custom twin sticks for the 360 release.

Now, I’ve never really played Virtual On but it looks nice… If I wanted to play some versus another player, would that be possible on a PC (either through the PC version of the first game(?), or emulated arcade)? Because from vids it kinda looks like a game you need two screens for to play two players. Anyway to play it over LAN or something?
i played this game a ton back in the day at sports world in NJ huge arcade… its not there anymore. Oh well…
I’m so stoked for this game, that I’ve been searching the internets for a saturn emulator and a virtaul on ROM. Sure it’s no VOOT, but I’ll take what I can get. So far I haven’t had any luck getting it to work. Maybe I just to need a few more weeks.
need this game. now.
I had the import for DC. It was a crime they didn’t have online play in the US.
I fire it up for the DC once a year or so…maybe I should play it more often…
I should have played more often over the years, too, but the single player is just too horrible. Seriously, if the AI isn’t standing still, it is shooting in the wrong direction or running into a wall.
I’ve forced myself to play some VER.5.45 the last few weeks, though, to get some of my timing back. I should actually set up VER.5.66 since it is somewhat different, but I don’t have a cab so it’s a mess (n@omi, PSU, harnesses, control panel, etc.).
I hope VER.5.66 works great on XBLA.

So VOOT is coming out to japan on Apr 29. I guess it times to make a japanesse account.
I’ll wait a few more days to see if there’s confirmation on the US release date.
