The HSF3 is working fine on my pc and emulators. I am using windows vista and it installed the drivers for it automatically when I hooked it up to my pc.
Works great in Mame.
Hey, question, though I dont know if I’m asking this in the right place, but…
I’m about to mod my VSHG so that it can also work with PS2/USB, and is there any way that I can map the top buttons to the PSOne dual shock I’m using?

Because I want to do the same thing. However it’ll be the first time, I ever try modding a stick.
it’s probably an XP hid driver problem then.
I can also confirm that the Virtua Stick High Grade works fine under MAME. Windows XP detects the stick correctly without needing any additional drivers installed. You just need to make sure that you have the buttons and stick correctly configured under MAME.
If anyone is still having problems getting the VSHG to work under MAME let me know and I might be able to point you in the right direction.
I would also have to agree with Paik4Lifes review of the VSHG. Overall the construction and feel of the stick is A class. Im very impressed with how responsive the stick and buttons are which is what I like. The only thing now which I would like to have working is being able to use the stick with PS2 games running on the PS3. Hopefully the next firmware update addresses my concern.

oh crap! i really wanna buy this stick to play on my xbox. what converter is recommended for this to xbox? i have no luck finding the dreamboxes anywhere, so can anyone suggest anything else? oh yea and its mainly used for 3s if that info is required. alright thanks in advanced!
Why would you buy this stick to play on your Xbox? Even if you were to find a USB->Xbox adapter, it won’t work on the Xbox because the Xbox will need special drivers for any USB joystick (especially the VSHG) to work. If you really want a Sanwa stick for the Xbox, ask one of stick builders on this forum to build one for you.

I have to say I have never played VF on high quality sticks the VSHG is heaven sent and it dosent bang up your wrist. Its the best stick I ever used and now I dont get frustrated cause moves dont come out. I realized the fs3 I was using was just bad quality. Its not gonna be so hard letting that pad go…

Ok finally got to try my VSHGs on Tekken 5 DR with my friend’s PS3 and yeah I can see how it can be a little problem with the multi-button press, looks like I need to get more used to it. Like Markman and Paik said, this stick is more designed for VF5 not DR.

Wait, even with the new re-issued joysticks, the multi-button press problem is still present? Is this because the switches are oversensitive as stated or because it’s an actual PCB problem?
I really couldn’t tell you for sure what the problem is, Markman mentioned it’s a possibility that the problem lies with DR and not the stick itself as he tested the HFS3 on DR too. Markman, correct me if I’m wrong on this if I misquoted you earlier. I don’t buy the oversensitivity issue as I have Sanwa modded HRAP1s and 2s and they seem fine to me.
