Ok, I may have been wrong about the joystick being analog, but the reason why I raised it because in the Game Controllers applet in Vista, there is no X/Y axis movement registered at all (only in the Point of View hat). I thought that this was odd considering that with my HRAP1 and my USB converter, it registers the X/Y axis movements.
I’ve heard that the fixed sticks have an “M” or an “S” marking at the bottom of the stick next to the label. I’m going by a post from the strikebang forums. Mine has an “S”, so the fact that my order @ play-asia was delayed by over a month until March 12, suggests that my stick is the newer revision.
Okay just picked up a HFS3 today and have started my process on preforming a mod. The stick is decent but there are some things. It’s the exact same thing as a DOA4 stick. Only differences are the case is now black, it has 2 more buttons on the layout, and the space between the buttons and stick are closer together  . Other than that it is a pretty decent stick. I wouldn’t spend $50 on it though, I’d just get a custom stick, but I picked it up for $1 and 2 crappy PS3 games that my friend gave to me so I can’t complain. Any questions about it just ask.

Wrote up a review on the Virtua Stick High Grade…
Check it out…
Thanks for the review, MarkMan. Are you certain about this? If I were to replace the OBSF-30 buttons that come with the VSHG, with other OBSF-30 buttons then theoretically there’d be no change. I would have thought it was something to do with how the PCB was made, rather than the button itself. I think the input timing is the issue rather than the sensitivity of the buttons. As I mentioned before, I have a HRAP1 which I modded with OBSF-30 buttons and use it on my dreamcast and ps2, but I do not have a problem with 3 button inputs whatsoever.
Has anyone been able to confirm this, because I’m finding the lack of consistency in pushing 3 buttons together extremely annoying.
I and the others who used the VSHG for VF5 never had any kind of problem with 3 button simultaneous inputs. Dunno what it’s like for other games but using the default settings for VF5 it was fine. Brad has a lot of 3 button inputs and I was using him.
Not compatible out of the box. only the HRAP3 is
I just received the VSHG. All I have to say is that this stick is solid. High Grade is the correct title for it.
It seems the input problems are only with Tekken 5: DR and not with VF5… if anyone else has tested on both let me know…
Pics… must have pics
Paik4Life posted some pics.
Some information I pulled from my VSHG.
Old model number: 681-10022
New model number: 681-10022-01
As a previous poster said, there is an M engraved in the bottom right corner of the label underneath the stick.
And you base this on what? I hooked mine up to a winxp pc, recognized fine without any drivers. Yeah, the joystick inputs register as a hat / POV switch, but just use an emu will work with that input, or use joy2key
Mines HSN-011 with an S engraving.
windows installs it but, neither the joystick or buttons register in control panel. almost everyone I know who has it including myself has had this problem.
BigEd has used this with emulators on his PC no problem. Ask him about it.

he said he doesn’t own a FS3, he has a High Grade
Oh shit, I thought you were talking about VSHG. I have HFS3 but I don’t have emus on my comp to test it.
