Is it possible to put Sanwa parts in the Hori Fighting Stick 3?
Yes but youâll need to file off the tabs on all the button holes as the stock hori buttons use those to help hold them in placeâŚthe stick will need a small amount of case modding too but should be relatively straight forward.
will an LS32 fit ?
i saw a mod and the guy put in an LS33
whatâs the difference?
HRAP3 vs VSHG vs MAS w/ PS2->PS3 converter
Iâm a heavy MVC2 player, need 1 frame timing.
MAS w/ the converter, lag? I prefer the American layout, but Iâll forgo it if it has lag.
VSHG/HRAP3 for MVC2 on PS3⌠anyone tried it? issues?
VSHG timing and HRAP3 timing on PS3? seems like people talk about simultaneous button pressing, but no oneâs said anything about MVC2 or itâs timingsâŚ
With the proper modifications nearly anything is possible, Iâve already put one into an FS3 and am working on a VSHG.

nice ^^^^
Iâd really like to hear the steps for modding an FS3.
Hey is it possible to fit a Ls-32 into a VFHG?
sup guys,
I just needed to post this!
Ok listen upâŚ
Ive ordered a Saulabi 4k from play-asia a few days ago. Today I received my stick. And guess what..... it
s not a Saulabi.
It`s a virtua stick high grade!
So I actually paid US$ 49.90 (saulabi price) for a VSHG.
At first I was pissed off!!! I couldnt believe they made such a mistake!
The first thing I had to do was go to srk.com and see wat kind of user experience the VSHG has.
Well⌠I must say I am a lucky mofo after reading all the posts!
I havent openend the box yet.
But I still want my Saulabi 4k thoughâŚ
Is there any other good site to order joysticks from?
I`ll open the VSHG stick in a moment to see what kind of stick I got.
With that sentence I mean this "Some information I pulled from my VSHG.
Old model number: 681-10022
New model number: 681-10022-01
As a previous poster said, there is an M engraved in the bottom right corner of the label underneath the stick."
Anyways⌠ima open that mofo and test it.
Hopefully the 3 button thingy works fine.
â
lil update;
on the sticker underneath is says;
âSEGA VIRTUA stick high grade
Model No. HSN-0011
Made in China
673-04461â
And next to the sticker there is a little S grafted in there.
So uhmmm is this a âfixedâ stick without any faults?
Someone help me out on this one lol.
lucky bugger⌠thatâs all i can say.
The 3 button input issue has been discussed quite heavily. i personally find it be the biggest issue of this joystick, and is the only thing i can flaw - but a SERIOUS flaw indeed.
Which is better out of the two?
Everyone knows the Virtua stick now which is here
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zl-49-en-70-1rjw.html
or the HORI Real Arcade Pro Stick 3?
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zl-49-en-70-1rrr.html
I would like to know which is the best please and also if both will work for PC Iâm 99.9% sure they do but I just want to check because Iâm planning on using it for the CPS3 emu as well as VF 5 and Tekken 5 DR on the PS3.
Thanks
You really need to use the search function instead of making multiple posts asking the same question. This question has been answered many times before. I did a quick search for you on google and it references to a SRK thread
http://forums.shoryuken.com/archive/index.php/t-132362.html
Do a little research before asking a question. It saves alot of time and trouble.
Thank you for clearing up that they both work on pcs but I need to know which one is built better and is the best for over all fighting games I mean like 3s, Tekken etc.
Short of doing a 35mph offset crash test on the sticks, itâs kinda hard to say which is built best.
I vote Sega because of itâs lower profile.
HRAP3âs are great. Easily moddable. No real problems that I know of.
VSHGâs have one problem, which is the inability to press 3 buttons at the same time. Other than that, theyâre pretty good from what I hear.
Now, if you have a PS2, I would recommend getting an HRAP2, then buying a Pelican PS2 -> PS3 converter since you canât use HRAP3s on PS2s. The Pelican converters work lag free on PS3 and PC, so no problems there.
I have the VSHG for a while now and I was wondering if the 3 button thing is true or false.
If I play tekken 3 on pc and hit 3 buttons at the same time I dont see any input missing.
If you are in training mode in tekken 3 you can see all your input. No matter how fast you tap the buttons.
So let me clear this up.
It IS possible to hit 3 buttons at the same time, hence its even possible to hit 4 buttons at the same time.
I dont know if I got a newer version of the VSHG but I must say its a very well built stick that plays very good.
The only thing I dont know is how well it performs on a PS3 since I dont have it yet.
could depend on how strict the timing is in the games as well, i suppose.
try loading up the sfa2 (rom) and see if you can consistently pull of level 3 supers.
Has anyone been able to get the VS:HG to work on Big Bang Beat for PC? Mine doesnât seem to want to read the Stick, the buttons register fine. but the directional stick wonât register at all.
~Ramon
Ramon,
The stick is probably registering as a POV hat (UPCB, and the Radio Shack PSX->USB converter its based on, does the same thing). Download Xmapper and map the dpad to the arrow keys and youâll be fine. I had to do the same thing to get the UPCB to work with other doujin games.
i tried a program similar to it, I think it wasâŚxpadder?
I set the stick to the D-pad. but it wonât recognize it in the big bang beat game.
the stick works for every thing else, MAME, Kawaks. but when it comes to games like Guilty Gear #Reload, or Big bang beat. It wonât find the stick.
