Virtua Stick High Grade & Hori Fighting Stick 3

xpadder, xmapper, xwhatever…(my bad, wrong name).

It sets the inputs on the stick to be keyboard inputs. You can play big bang beat using keyboard inputs, soooooo…xpadder sees what the stick does, and tricks the computer into thinking you hit that key you assigned to it in xpadder. BBB thinks you hit the up arrow key, and your character jumps. Doesnt sound like you mapped the d-pad to keys.

Toodles:

Yeah, i tried again, and found what you were talking about with the arrow keys and whatnot. Got it working. thanks.

I just tested level 3 supers in sfa3 with my 3 day old VSHG and I must say I can pretty much do a level 3 super at any given time.
Ok… sometime it doesnt cause its human error, but its not the stick thats not working but my hands hehe.

So one more time: I can pull off 3 buttons at the same time with my VSHG, even 4…
And the VSHG is in stock again on play-asia… it could be that SEGA fixed the old problems… who knows.

I don’t know if I read it in this thread or another but the problem with pressing 3 buttons at once happens only in T5:DR not in VF5 or any other game. Kinda weird

I just ordered and recieved my first stick a HRAP3, works great on PC, next buy would be a VSHG and an PS3 so I can play PS2 on it. The problem with HRAP3 and PS2 BC isn’t fixed right? and can you play PS2 games on a PS3 with a HRAP2 and pelican converter?

sfa3 doesn’t require all 3 buttons to be pressed to pull off a level 3 super. You only need to do the motion + (HP/HK). SFA1/2 requires that you push all three punch/kick buttons to do level 3 supers.

Try pulling off Zangief’s lariet and see if you can pull it off 100%.

I see… but I did it with lp+mp+hp to pull it off. So it`s the same.
But I will try it tomorrow with sfa2.

Now I would really appreciate it if anyone helps me…I am confused-I did read all posts in this thread carefully, and I saw some people claiming their Hori FS3 to work fine on a PC with WIN XP SP2, while others say it does not:looney:.I need to play Mortal Kombat, King of Fighters and Street Fighter II: Champion Edition on MAME 0,64b, I have no desire for PS gaming.I got some prices on http://www.neoamusement.com/index.php?cPath=45_49&osCsid=39d6bd65d959a22e7b7054bf1c00cfbe-

HORI FS3- 45 EUR ($ 62)

HORI REAL ARCADE PRO- 79 EUR ( $ 109)

SEGA VIRTUAL HIGH GRADE- 69 EUR ($ 95)

Is the price difference worthy, between the two HORI sticks…And isn`t Fighting stick better for fighting games(as its name suggests) over the Real Arcade Pro…and HRAP3 is so ugly…I might get one Sega and one Fighting stick 3…The Import will be really expensive…I am thinking of SAULABI 4K as an alternative…Pls help me, I am a newbie, but I just hammered to pieces my old joystick and I will upload the video in Youtube-a real crap, I am not the local champion any more, thanks to crappy, cheap chinese stuff:annoy::sad:.

The HFS3 is the worst of the 3 sticks. It has no authentic arcade parts. Modding it with arcade parts would take some case modding too. However, the HRAP3 comes with a Sanwa JLF stick and is easily moddable (just follow my HRAP2 modding guide). I believe the VSHG comes with both a Sanwa JLF and OBSF buttons.

I forgot to mention-I will not be modding anything, I amm limited to stock-parts.Thank you, any other suggestions?:wonder:

So I just tested level 3 supers with my 4 day old VSHG stick… it works like a charm!

So on pc there are no input faults.
On the other hand, I havent tested it on PS3… since I dont have it.
So far so good!
This “full sanwa” stick rocks.

The fact that your VSHG is 4 days old, is proof that you got a revised one. The bad ones have been out of retail circulation for a minute.

On the bottom side of the stick, underneath and to the right of the ‘Sega Virtua Stick’ sticker is an engraved ?M? or ?S?. This signifies a revised stick.

Maybe I will buy the X-arcade Dual, as it is $ 130 with shippin` included, whereas HRAP3 and VSHG would cost a total of $ 200, shipping not included:sweat::arazz::looney: Any opinions? I am so used with HAPPS sticks, I used to play on arcade machines for all my life, and one member said that switching from HAPPS to Sanwa means learning to ride the bike again…And I saw many compliants about HRAP3 and VSHG, so many users swearing that Hori beats Sega or vice-versa, and I am too worried about the 3-button inputs, as this means Sub-Zero would not slide:annoy:

Don’t buy X-arcades unless you are going to mod it, PCB and all. The PCB is terrible and apparently lags a lot. If you really want a Happ stick, either get a custom, SFAC then mod with HAPP, or a MAS (if you live in the US). Sorry, but if you want a good Happ stick, you’ll need to mod it unless its a custom.

I’m also curious as to what complaints you’ve heard concerning the HRAP3.

Thanks for the info, but how can I be sure if the auto-switch between analog and digital will be fine for MAME?For Mortal Kombat rev 3, you need to press back+3 buttons, is this a problem…I would buy the Sega stick and the HRAP3 ONLY for MAME, nothing else…King of Fighters has some very complex moves- jump+2 X 360 turns…I gave up the idea of buying either X-arcade or Saulabi. What shall I do, buy one Sega stick and one HRAP3, or 2 of the same kind…I need two sticks for 1-to-1 battle…I beg you to pay some attention and help the newcommers, Shoryuken:sad:

Yes it works great.

thanks, than I’m buying maybe a HRAP2 instead of a VSHG or maybe both because the VSHG is very nice

They say it moves around when pulling off insane combos, and the finish is a cheap dime-crap, and starting to peel off. http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/573/Hori+Real+Arcade+Pro/

I’ve modded my stick and had none of that plastic crap. It could be an HRAP1 thing. As for moving around, it hasn’t happened to me. My HRAP2 doesn’t move around when I play on a flat surface or on my lap. That guy must be throwing that stick around pretty hard. Sanwas have a very light feeling to them, so all you need are light taps and pushes.

So I just open the HRAP3, and remove the plastic cover, as shown in the link I have provided?

The link you provided is of an Hori Real Arcade Pro 1, not 3. The plastic film probably isn’t even there, unless they skipped generations. Never seen or heard of this film til now.
