 Dead Frog likes this.
Sega also announced that a location test is happening “soon”… and that’s all they said. Location and date will be revealed shortly.
Thanks Reno you are awesome. Can’t wait for Sega to give a date. Also, finally looks like I might use a social networking site. lol
That’s brilliant. In so many ways.
So after two years there is an update instead of a new game? I thought Phantasy Star Universe was slow, either way what has changed and is this game completely different than say release day or not much?

Going to assume you never played DOA if you think Tekken is anything besides a combo masher.
I clicked it
You obviously haven’t played at competition level
especially DOA when i read what you said about DOA4 from the balance thread
They already ripped it off of

What exactly do you mean, like a criteria or something?
I could post more, I guess. Just ask more detailed questions.
so moé im gonna die
how did you come up with your gamertag. it owns
edit and oh i guess for a ‘real’ question: i’m not really that used to having a sidestep in games. i understand how it functions and that i can follow a dm up with an om if i dodge something, but i’m not sure how to be thinking in regards to applying it. ie i understand how it works but i’m not sure when i should go for it
Aside from spacing purposes, in which case you’re better off using regular 3D movement than sidestep, the best point to do it is when you’re at -7 or slightly worse. iirc at that amount of frame disadvantage and worse you can’t fuzzy guard, so ETEG is your next best option select. It’s more of a commitment than fuzzy guard (Hell, I’d say it’s more of a commitment than in other 3D FGs) and you can possibly get put in a much worse situation if your opponent reads you for it, but generally you can get at least a guaranteed jab series off if you evade a typical mid.
At the time I was asking what characters fit what playstyles (Wolf=Big Damage?). But I guess whatever you have to share is fine. Just anything I guess to give new/interested players an idea of wtf is really going on.
to others:
They got some good articles and shit going up on VFDC, like sonichurricane but for VF.

Wrong thread?
Keeping things simple, it’d be when you expect them to attack which becomes easier to predict when you get more used to the game. A typical example would be after having a move blocked. Full circulars will track you and half circulars track in 1 direction. You get a successful evade if correctly timed to the attack (faster recovery), unsuccessful if not (but this can be canceled with a dash or crouch dash). Throws beat evade but throw escapes can be buffered into an evade.
You’d generally follow an evade with an OM rather than the other way round. OM K (which is unsafe) from here can potentially cause a side crumple. This is a really offensive way to use the sidestep though and requires good prediction.
Sidestep can also be used during your movement since failed evades can be canceled straight into more movement. EG - backdash sidestep repeat for backing up or dash in evade buffer cancel or punish/pressure if your evade is successful (which nullifies your cancel).
