So far I haven’t felt salty at all when playing this game. Tekken and VF lack comback mechanics and are relatively balanced so I never feel robbed (unlike with SF4, SxT and MvC ugh, ANGER). The only things that piss me off is when people play Lion and Jacky. Why would you PLAY as those bastard characters? Lion is annoying and I hate losing to him, and Jacky is just the Ken of the game.
Yeah when playing against Jacky you have to be aware 2 things : his high punch(Only!) neutral parry and his flash kick at mid range. However, sarah can do it better because she can combo into it or mixup with it very quickly. Lion I feel is pretty easy derpy if not played correctly. I played this Lion player on rank and losing to his BS until i finally punished what he was doing HARD.
Yeah, Jacky isn’t necessarily great (although he IS great). But his bland design and ease of use is moreso why I attributed him to Ken from SF4. Whether Lion is hard to fight against or not doesn’t stop the fact that he’s annoying as hell! When I DO lose to his BS I just sit there and think “WHY DID I LOSE TO SHIT LIKE THAT!?” Fucking Lion players and their feet fetishes.
I don’t have a problem with Lion players. I seem to beat most of them. But Jacky ones just annoy me. Does counter hitting raw somersaults just make me salty.
I hate both Bryants and their long legs, which always end up in my face.

I had a match like that yesterday. I had the opponent cornered, and he was one hit away from KO…I threw out Brad’s 
:f:P+K and the bastard somersaulted it, causing me to lose the round. :mad:
Just bought customisation pack 1. It’s the one that has more of the characters I like in. Time to dress people up.
I only bought Eileen’s custom pack. I’m pretty disappointed by how limited her custom items are, Tekken 6 has more. Which is bizarre because I swear I remember her having tonnes in VF5:evo. Does her individual custom pack only have a partial amount? Will I have to buy the group custom pack too?
^When you first go into Terminal it automatically picks Costume A edit by default. You won’t see all the items available for your character.
To see other costumes and items to go with them hit start and choose costume edit.
last night in a party of like 6 people all playing VF5, there were so many rages over Lion and two of us (me included) second him so we kept using him and making everyone salty. Lion is rediculously hard to fight though
P.S. is it pronounced Lion like the animal or Lion like (lee-on)? I always called him Lion like the animal when i was a kid playing VF2 at a arcade so I got used to that and I keep switching between the two.

Nobody annoys me more than Lei Fei. Lion isn’t much better, but at least I can figure out when the hell I can start pressing buttons at him sometimes. Lei Fei I just have to say screw it and guess an evade and hope they keep mashing non-circular moves.
Last week I saw a ton of Jeans, I assumed because he looks most like Ken.
So I’m trying out the ninja in command training…I think he’s warming me up to VF5…

ugh just lost 3 in a row, getting salty, and the stupid part is that every one of them save for 1 was 6 ranks higher than me, it may just be my area but methinks there needs to be better matchmaking in this game when you do quick match
I think it pulls up a 15 ranked ranged for you, so you could fight any level of player. But really high or low rank doesn’t equal skill, hell, even amount of games doesn’t equal skill. I’ve been savaged by 10th Kyu’s in their first game online and fell asleep while beating hunter level idiots.
yea, hell a friend of mine who doesn’t play fighting games almost ever save for a little marvel with me every so often just randomly buys the game, one game later hes better than all of us who have been training for hours and hours trying to get combos and high priority attacks down…fml I need to either be a cheap ass and win with Lion or get some good Eileen combos in.
I personally just got the game (Slow Skyler, Slow) and I played the last VF5. I was pretty dang good then, me and Shun drank our opponent’s blood from casks on a daily basis. Is there anything I should be absolutely afraid of this time around? (Lion and Jacky salt, I’ve been there and overcame it all with 12 drinks in the pocket by the end of the round)
I like characters like Bison/Guile in SF4, Athena/Mature in KoF, and Parasoul in Skullgirls, where I can for the most part react and use basic normals to cover much of my options, and somewhat safe pressure on offense. Are there any characters like that in VF? I’m not a lab monster for the most part, I prefer figuring stuff out ingame against other people.
every characters has the basic tool and normals to cover all of their options. But if you asking for characters with straight forward inputs without any frills or whistles-
Jeffrey- he is slower, but he hits like a truck and but has everything needed to win.
Jean- some of his charge and charge cancels can be tricky, but other than that, he is a good place to start
Lau- same as above, but a combo machine, mostly in pre-canned strings
Lion- fuck you if you play lion, but the dude is another good choice, focusing on lows and being annoying
