I think I’ve officially switched my main to Lion because i just can’t with with Eileen…I’m not sure how I feel about that

I hate fighting Pai so much. Her attacks are so damn quick. She opens me up just thinking about pressing a button. So annoying.
Is Lion top tier or something? I was thinking of maining him. I never got into VF but I remember watching old Chibita videos in VF4 and it seemed he has a multitude of options for any situation.
I really hope that there is some good numbers from over here. I’m starting to meet the same people over and over in XBL in my area so I’m hoping we get some more, maybe some sales on the customization packs
Lion is easy to use and has some mad lows, hes a really fast character and I love him. But be prepared for people to hate you for playing him because his whole character is a rich spoiled brat and that flows into his fighting style because he is CHEEEEEEAP
that said I’m starting to Main him now because I can actually do well with him unlike when I play my fav character Eileen
Yeah Lion is super top tier in this game. Tons of options but he doesn’t have the damage output that someone like Akira or Jacky has in their combos. However he has far better mobility than either of those two, and his optimal damage combos are easier to do, so it works out in the end.
There’s no VF5:EVO, if you mean VF4:EVO, there’s no Eileen in there.
I actually had to give up getting matches past midnight mountain time on PSN. For probably an hour before that I was waiting pretty long just to get 10th Kyus.

Also, you guys wanting to learn the game and get experience, etc. should create a chatroom for FS and just join. Anytime you’re online it’ll show who’s in and you can chat/play etc. At least that’s how it works for PSN. Don’t know about XBL.
Rooms work a bit different on the XBL but in contrast theres not much we can’t do that you can.
Also suprisingly I haven’t seen any lions. Just a sumo who ripped me to shreds, a bunch of Pao’s who get Shun’d (See wut I did thr?), and a few Jefferies, all of which were good.
Oh and a 1st Dan Dropper. Couldn’t take losing to a 7th Kyu Shun Di with some skillz
For XBL ive seen people use dummy accounts created specifically that people can add that account their friends list and if they want to find someone they just look on the dummy accounts friends list to see who’s on. Not as social as a chat room, but it’s a solution none the less.
For more general purpose, i guess you could encourage people to join and speak in IRC.
Theres other options as well, though not as openly social.
Plainly, using an online chatbox made specifically for the game in question.
I hate both Pai and her father. They both seem to have some really fast and easy to do combos.

Quick 3d noob question: What exactly do these annotations with 1,2,3,4,5,6 mean? Not really used to seeing the numbers on 2d fighter forums so they’re new to me.
Check your numpad on your keyboard.
1 = down back
2 = down
3 = down forward.
etc.
While I agree with you, shouts out Sega’s AM2 for doing one thing with Jacky right: making a Jeet Kune Do practitioner that isn’t a damn Bruce Lee knockoff. Hell I’d even bash Akira for being yet another Japanese guy in a white gi with a headband but his fighting style is so brutal I forgive it.
