Are you completely fucking stupid? Seriously, are you?
You bitch about on-disc DLC being unfair and evil, even though it’s done in part so that if players didn’t buy the DLC they can still see the content. Now you’re bitching because you can’t see items you didn’t purchase because Sega left DLC out of the main game. Make up your fucking mind you idiot.
Came along the Trophy list of VF5FS and it seems pretty legit and super easy (just playing Arcade mode once and Online for an hour or so should get you most of them).
Let all your friends who like easy achievements and trophies that they should pick up VF5FS.
Dude, yea I see his inconsistency but dude, was this harshness even necessary? Its not like he ranted on not being able to see other players’ costumes.
He presented it as a minor gripe. But you overreacted and just went off. SMh calm down dude, especially when knowing that new players are gonna be coming here for support and you have to be patient with their ignorance.
Sega is smart to go towards the F2P route (where the main expense is on extras and not on the main game) but they are doing it kosher, without putting mechanical advantages for sale.

the only reason that stance absolutely fails is because devs like Arcsys and Nertherealm make sure everyone has compatability packs so that even if you dont buy their special content, you can still see people who DO have it. and were not just talking about DLC characters but also colors and items as well. i dont think it would have been too much trouble to have all the information on the downloadable so that people who do want to buy the DLC content (because they obviously want to show off.) can still look cool to their opponent and it would actually give people an incentive to buy it. part of the reason these items exist is so you can show off your main anyway to your opponent, as well as sign that this is your main and youve put effort into the game. Thats partly why im hoping Quest Mode has made it in because even though the robust online (as well as the ability for VFDC to FINALLY HAVE THEIR OWN WESTERN STREAM THANK GOD!!) is obviously the main draw, it was nice to earn your fighter’s items because usually to get them you had to prove yourself in the other modes anyway. and finally, i just think it would have also provided more incentive for people to buy the other DLC packs if they saw all the things you could get if you put in the money. because VF5 far and away has the best avatar items and special poses of any fighting game and to not see what could be could make it a harder sell. just my two cents anyway.
He apologized. I found the repost of his rant annoying before that but it’s all good now; let’s keep a positive air and not soil the reception of this awesome game!
Honestly, Sega has dug themselves into a “Damned if they do, damned if they don’t” hole here.
If all customization items are included in the initial download (aka PURCHASE) of the game, then it is evil of Sega to charge additional money to unlock said content that you technically already paid for once.
If customization items are NOT included in the initial download of the game, then it is stupid of Sega to lessen the value of DLC items by making them visible to only players who also have happened to purchase the same DLC pack. (Perhaps if there was a way to temporarily download the items before a fight…)
Now, where has it been confirmed that we definitely cannot see customization items that we haven’t purchased ourselves? Either way, keep in mind that not being able to see items you haven’t purchased yet doesn’t mean that they truly are not included in the initial download of the game. This could also be a last-minute trick by Sega to hide the fact that you technically already paid for these items. We won’t know for sure until hackers dig around the game’s files and/or we see the file size of the DLC items for ourselves.
Where is this Press Release? If you’re talking about the blog post, it mentions NOTHING about whether or not you can see other players’ items if you haven’t purchased them yourself.
And yes the frame data in training more is awesome, (did they also bring back Combo Search from VF4Evo?) but is irrelevant to this particular conversation.
its already been said that NO, you cant see another person’s DLC items. however, i did read at VFDC that theres an initial 200 items spread out across the cast. anyways, i dont see the problem. if it was like the arcade version, it could take you forever to get all of the items you wanted anyway, even in Quest mode. my only reservation is it sounds like they replaced Quest mode with this “license mode”. while it doesnt sound “bad”, what it does sound like is a Kombat Tower or Medal of Millionaire-esque mode and i dont know if thats necessarily better than the constant challenge of AI arcades and the AI tournaments that Quest mode provided. at least Quest mode seemed much more like VF in flavor than this new mode .
