Jolly Green Giant’s Asian cousin vs. what appears to be the son or daughter of the Michelin Man?
One can dream.

I’ll buy a dozen.
So correct me if i am wrong, items that were in the arcade version now have to be purchased as DLC, he seemed to skim right past the training mode questions to me
Back on the IPW stream he mentioned that ones you unlocked will be there for the console release. I’m thinking it’s going to be the ver.D, R and FS items that will be DLC. Hopefully there’s some unlockable from the aforementioned versions.
I’m sure the training mode will be VF4:EVO’s sans the MTE section.
I wouldnt go assuming that it will be as good as 4evos, i mean everybody thought 5 would have had at least a half decent training mode half decent AI and a decent quest mode, and well it had nothing really.
I dunno, alot of buzzwords alot of “community pandering” in there with announcement of the online lobbies, i for one couldn’t care less about lobbies especially at the cost of decent netcode, why dont they stop pandering to scrubs and youtube warriors, listen to people that want the game to succeed not the idiots that it will be a flavor of the month to and move onto the next BIG game
Footage showed there was SOME footage that followed in 4:EVO footsteps, however simple it was. At least they know they need to step it up this time around with the features the other games have.
Lobbies don’t mean shit to me, but the option is there. Never bad having those and you don’t NEED to have 8 players, you could just set it to just one person if need be. At least there could be something like the SRK 24/7 thing going for it now, for what it’s worth.
5 had a very useful free training mode with more options than 4evo’s sans the combo glossary. Quest AI was basically the same as VF4E if you turned it up to expert, but it was also very predictable in VF4E.
Why all the negativity?
i agree Its not bad having them in there if the quality of the online experience is not sacrificed, we all know you have 7 people in your room then some tosser from easter island turns up and turns it into a shitfest (just using the most extreme example)
I hope the training mode is good, i was starting to get really decent at vf4, to the point where i was beating people who were alot better ( or were known to be seasoned players) than me, i had to stop though i couldnt play vf on a stick for toffee and then final showdown came out, but id have loved to continued, 5 came out didnt have a clue what was going on in it, clashes seemed weird sidestep seemed weird i just didnt understand it, so i am hoping 5fs will be at least on par with 4evo it terms of helping folks.
vf probably the only game id consider returning to the tourney scene for
Why so worked up about something that hasn’t been denied or confirmed… WOW
However, I am guessing by the discussion (Sega guy knew VFEVO training was a big deal) and the modes shown on the video (dodge practice), we will have nothing to worry about when it comes to the training mode.
Online Lobbies help build a community and that is why the VF Community (VF players for years) were so adamant about it being included.
Right, well that doesn’t make it ok to spread misinformation about the functionality of VF5’s training mode or its quest AI – my experience is with the 360 version, btw.
Thought there was no spec mode or was that untrue? If true, does that mean you can get a lobby going then challenge whoever is free?
Games in VF5C on 360 were strictly 1v1 lobbies in both player and ranked matches. You could save replays of online matches but it recorded the raw inputs, which made certain outcomes of the game change based on the latency during the match vs. the 0 latency of a replay.
