Wow, you’re really something now aren’t you? Here’s my “go suck a dick” face But that’s alright, I can learn this game even without your effort, thank you
Yeah if you think me making that offer in earnest is sarcastic or somehow condescending then you are bigger jerk than I could ever hope to be. Stay free.
To be frank, I found your offer as laughable as your pay per word comission request for writing a guide. You sure think of yourself in very high regard, not that there’s anything wrong with that, except when you sort of come out as douche. But thanks, I think I’ll keep beasting with my Grizzy Lariat only Wolf like in vanilla
I don’t hold myself in any high regard (that’s your colossal scrub ego talking), and, at the very least I also know how to block a low punch.
The game will most likely follow the same pricing model as VF5. You’ll pay for the main game and then pay additional cash for some of the customizable items.
Well in fact, so do I now after you corrected me, thanks for that too. I still blame the practice mode for screwing me over, though! colossal scrub ego whining
Akai - I thought some chars had 10f jabs off a P+K+G input in VF4E? I of course I remember the infamous Akira P+K jab thingy that shaved a frame off it thanks to Maddy  . I might just be imagining things though.
Akira’s P+K did not change Akira’s standard Jab execution speed. It was still 12 frames in VF4E. What P+K differs from just P input: Instead of +1 on guard from standard P input, Akira’s P+K jab input gave +2 on guard. So the frame that was “shaved” was not execution speed, but either reducing the total frames of the move or increasing the guard/hit “stuns” on opponent. To the best of my knowledge, in VF4evo the fastest “standard” Jab is 11 frames. The VF4 Evo frame data is still available on VFDC, if you want to check out things.
As for knowing frame data…I think some people assume experienced VF players play the game by processing numbers in their head during an actual match. Frame data, the actual numbers, are a useful tool to standardize discussion of the game’s system and to learn the game outside of a match. In an actual game, I think most people do not think in frame numbers - they think in qualitative terms such as; in this situation, I am at an advantage or I am at a disadvantage; I can do guaranteed damage in this situation; etc.
No, obviously VF players are so bad that they just mash out moves without knowing the frames for them and just take that shit. Just like online Tekken.
I should probably say I was kidding in that other post and in this one too before someone calls me out.
Kidding aside, the fun thing about frames is that you can either respect the shit out of them and abide by the rules they set so heavily that they dictate your game, or you can just throw caution to the wind and do hopkicks from -15. Either can work depending on your opponent, I’ve seen it happen in Tekken and I’ve seen it happen in VF.
By the way VF’s frame data on replays is godlike, I hope they keep that on the console port of FS

Thanks dude!
VF5 FS better have a VF4 Evo-level training mode, or I will boycott it.
This, but with more blatant sarcasm and snark typical of my posts in this thread. Please look at my avatar and imagine pingu saying it. noot noot!
Nah man, even if you meant to crack a joke earlier, the irony here is that you probably do that when you play VF anyway. 2P is the truest of the true lows man, I swear!
If you’re throwing launchers out from -15 in VF then enjoy the huge gank off your lifebar that’s about to occur. Unless it’s VF4’s system and you know for sure they’re going for anything but a catch throw instead of the guaranteed damage. Since you’d really only want to do an immediate throw in that situation to punish that -15 situation out of a handful of times if you know what to punish with, it’s unlikely that it will succeed consistently against someone who knows what he’s doing. Or that there’s any reason to do it other than to get under the guy’s skin. Which could be good or not, depending on if the guy even cares about that shit. DEEP STRATS, right?
Whoa man that frame data sure is ambiguous! Is my post nuanced and insightful yet? training mode conspired against me to fool me into thinking 2P was a true low, I swear! - yomipower, 2012
You’re just going to keep replying to everything I post about, aren’t you?
Is sarah good in this game i heard she had issues dealing big damage.
I don’t know if i could switch to another char though…
It’s Virtua Fighter.
This is the tier list:
A+: Akira
Not A+: Everyone else
Everything misinformed and based on a faulty assumption that you have something of value to say about VF, yes. And this post. Because I am a bit of an idiot myself too.
Wrong. But please - I invite you continue to regale us with your startling and novel insights into VF’s character balance. I’m sure you’d have a pretty interesting take on the tier list in VF5. Also if you’re joking then there are better jokes to make about Akira – Let’s see here…

Hypermode FTW!
I wouldn’t worry about it until you get a chance to see how Sarah in FS works for you. I’m sure there’s a link to a few Sarah players’ channel somewhere around VFDC or youtube. I don’t know the good ones, though. If you’re interested I can see what’s up.
http://www.youtube.com/user/wannafightus/videos Here’s Shou’s channel on Youtube. He’s been around for years and, him and his buddy got me started with the game about a year before he left for the Bay and off to Japan. EDIT: ew these matches are old. He’s too busy in his free time playing with scanlines on a CRT monitor trying to run a game that he can just emulate anyway.
I’d link the article but Reno has wiped everything on his blog.
