For people wondering about the technicality of VF…yeah it’s pretty technical. If you want to pick up this game then you need to get a group of players to play with regularly. You’ll never get good at the basic defensive and offensive techniques that make up the meat and potatoes in the VF engine. Also despite how bad the netcode can be, it’s pretty necessary to play online. There is always an ongoing debate about the viability of playing online where the game isn’t “pure”, but I you’ll never get to play the pros if you online play local cats. There are some old school killers STILL doing their thing online, and it would behoove any new players to catch a few "L"s from the masters.
-_- I’m now fully aware of just how horribly SEGA is stretching out FS’s existence in the arcades by making this wait
for the console port(s) seem so ridiculous. We know you’re not gonna pull the arcade machines out of the arcades

VF is not hard to play. I thought I’d share.
Hope they bring back the old throw system for ver.B.
I prefer the new throw system, it also factors into the idea that VF is not hard to play. A lot of people freak out about the system because of all the option selects possible. Thing is a lot of people don’t Triple throw escape guard etc. I think a streamlined system will help.
By the way, VF PEOPLE! I will be doing a VF5FS side tournament at EVO! There will be a guaranteed pot!

MTEs were just fun to do, once you knew when to do them it was just practice. After a week of practice you’re good to go. At least throw clash was taken out.

I feel like it’s not but at the same time, I have a tough time interpreting VF5’s command tables.
Particularly with some of the counter attacks. The command list doesn’t really make clear what exactly it wants you to do to execute, at least based on purely button inputs.
What exactly are you trying to do? A move on counter hit? Catch a move with a counter? If you’re just going through the list, it does put those situations there so you can perform them, if need be. Pretty simple, really.
